Yeah that dude weighs 300 pounds and can move that fast. NFL players are scary when you think about it.
This game was insane. The final score remained a Scorigami until that wild Cowboys vs Falcons game last year. I was hoping they'd release the highlights to this game at some point. Lol Another legendary Browns vs Chiefs game was their matchup in 2009 when Jerome Harrison put up 286 yards and 3 TDs

They also had two down-to-the-wire games in 2021- the 2020 AFC Divisional Round and the 2021 season opener, and the Chiefs won both.

@arizonawrestlinginterviews1040 yep! As a Browns fan, the AFC Divisional game was tough, but at that point I was just happy we beat the Steelers, so everything else was house money lol. But that season-opener next season definitely stung. That was suppose to be our revenge game. It was still a great game though.

Dennis Northcutt might be one of the most underrated players in NFL history. The guy was a constant playmaker, despite how bad the team around him was and how many stank ass QBs the Browns rotated under center to throw him the ball. If he'd have been in New York or Dallas he probably would've been a household name.

I agree and the Browns should’ve never broke this core up, let alone part of the team after the 2002 season. Butch Davis the GM did not help Butch Davis the coach. Once he had a lot of control, the team became bad, fast after a promising first two years under him.

@@Bill_Woo Summerall would have done the US Open on CBS…in 1992. He did that event for 20 years only for CBS before moving to Fox in 1994. Summerall in 2002 was doing low level NFL games with Moose Johnston on Fox.
@Bill_Woo

@@rjpsuh06 Ah, yes, good work. Yes, him and Madden on Fox beginning 1994 so there. As portrayed by Frank Caliendo :) :) I don't think "low level" is an accurate term. I now read that he was the lead on Dallas Cowboys games, and for example he and Moose called the Emmitt recordbreaker. It would be accurate to say he was not the "feature team" which was Buck and Aikman. (And a small correction, it's said that Moose worked with Dick Stockton but was borrowed for that Emmitt game. Fitting, as Moose "gave" Emmitt a pile of those rushing yards, as Emmitt acknowledges.) Pat did the Open for either 20 or 25 years! But yes, well before 2002. Thanks for the info.

@@Bill_Woo thanks for reminding me about Moose on Fox in 2002. Pat Summerall worked most of the 2002 games with Brian Baldinger. Also, 2002 was the first year of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman with Cris Collinsworth as the third guy

People always blame Rudd but Gardocki's dumb penalty helped a lot too. The Chiefs may not have got to the 35-yard line to start that drive. Those yards helped a lot.
Damn I completely forgot the Gardocki taunting. I'm not sure Rudd helmet would have been possible without that.
Oh, a classic Browns choke; I remember learning about the incident at the end of the game but I don’t think I ever realized how good the Browns looked for about the first 3 1/2 quarters of this game.

People forget how good this chiefs offensive line was with guys like willie roaf!
Heck yes! Vivid memories of this game, loved this Chiefs team. So flawed, but they were just starting to become so fun. The season Priest Holmes started to become that dude!
20:25 greatness
The play at 12:06 would've been all but over if it was executed. Just a slight over throw made a huge difference.
Still remember as a kid "the flags for holding game over." Seen the replay and just couldn't believe what happened lol. By the way that commentary "3 TE set" how much the game has changed.

The Chiefs defense made the 2002 Browns offense look like the 1999 Rams that day. BTW, that is the funniest way to lose a game. Great memories.
Y'all definitely weren't holding back with that title lol
If you haven’t uploaded it yet. How about the famous bottle gate game can Jaguars where the game was ended cause everyone kept chucking bottles at the refs.
@MrDariusJWilliams
2 жыл бұрын
That would be a good one to see, but I don't think it'll happen this year. Games that are uploaded during the season involve teams that are about to play in the upcoming week, and the browns and jaguars don't play each other this year.
Rudd's game losing mistake overshadows one of the greatest opening week games ever.
Honestly the helmet rule is silly but it is a rule so the Browns deserved the L. Some other ideas for this week’s games if you have them and haven’t done them yet Cards-Titans 2009 or 2013 Saints-Packers 2012 Chargers-Washington 2005 Dolphins-Pats 1994 opener
Noticed coaches and staff are wearing shirts remembering 9/11. Just so happens today is the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Never forget.
It's amazing how many things on that final drive had to go the Chiefs way. The Gardocki penalty, the QB making a desperation toss to an offensive lineman, the helmet toss... A perfect storn.
This finish became the new most Cleveland Browns thing ever, surpassing the Ernest Bynar fumble and Elway drive that followed.

I love these early 2000s games, a nice throwback for sure
WHAT A GAFFE! Never will get tired of that line!
I was 14 and in tears after this as a Browns fan. Credit to the lineman for picking up them yards.
Throwing your helmet is bad. Taking your opponent's helmet and hitting them with it is worse. The Browns have trouble with helmet-related penalties.
my dad was at this game. he told me after the game he threw his radio at the wall and pieces flew everywhere
As somebody who's never seen this game before I can honestly say that I didn't find myself fast forwarding through a moment and that finish was .... unexpected to say the least! As someone who unfortunately didn't get into sports until the early 2010's THANK YOU for these uploads! 🙏🏻🏈❤
The loudest crowd ever heard following a contest. Except not a thunderous cheer. It was a thunderous booing. I love Cleveland, but you know they are a factory of sadness.
Lol, Dan dierdorf sounds like he's gonna have a baby
Came to see Dwayne Rudd, stayed to see Priest Holmes
I remember the reaction from my pops! Believe me expletives were flying!!!
Always wondered how the score got to be 39-37 before the infamous helmet throw. Thanks for the full highlights!
That is the Cleveland Brown-iest ending ever.
WHATTA GAFFE
It looked like Trent Green succeeded on that 2 point conversion. If they had called it that way, the Browns would've just tied the game with their field goal and the Chiefs would've been content with going to overtime.
20:26 Dwayne Rudd what r u doing!?
