She s bit of a nut in real life. But I truly dont think she meant the remark she made as racist. I believe her statement that she did nt even know the woman was black. The woman whose father is 50% black. So she's 25%. She was joining Trump in the personal insults that he makes towards anyone on the "other" side.

OMFG...I knew I couldn't have been the only black one!! I'm watching reruns which is why I'm here because I wanted to see if Becky and Darlene had beef behind the scenes. I know Darlene and the first DJ in episode one had problems which is why he is no longer on the show!!

I loved that show too! Got all episodes on my hard drive!

As a African American young woman, we tuned in to watch her family when my own mother was out getting her master's degree. She helped my mom raise us because she was a single parent. Rosie isn't racist, she's impulsive which unfortunately made and broke her. She now has to realize that she had her time, she was the mom of the 80s/90s generation, enjoy ur money but the role of being alone is a part she hates to play because it's not for a segment and then cut to commercial, it's her daily reality. She cant stand it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

"The drama behind the scenes of Roseanne" Should be titled "Cast and crew sit and talk about why the show kicked ass and what kind of ground it broke." Can't wait for the new season. I dont care about Roseannes politics. Her and the writers and cast of the show from the 90s got me through some shitty rough times.

Loved the show, although I didn't care for the season they hit the lottery.

That was stupid. But in the finale it's revealed that was a story she wrote as a coping mechanism for the grief after Dan dropped dead of a heart attack.

Yeah it got weird towards the end, I couldn't watch it. But still loved the show so much, grew up watching it with my mom

Roseanne is one of my favorite shows, I've watched it as a kid and I still watch it in dvd now. I know my mom didn't like it at all but I think the reason was because we lived some of these story lines and she didn't like reliving the negative memories. I on the other hand liked seeing that there were other family's out there that did struggle like my mom and dad, it have new comfort. I applaud Roseanne Barr for her brilliant mind and bringing a show to network television that showed/shows how over half of the people really live. Thank you Roseanne, you've given more strength in more ways than one. I'm very excited to see what she has come up with in the revival.

I use to watch Roseanne every week. I loved watching it. Me and my family could always relate to what they were they were going through and it was so real.

I'm going to go watch all Roseanne episodes again!

I liked Arny, but hated Tom Arnold being apart of the creative process. The show got better when he left.

Growing my favorite shows were Rosanne and full house and Married with children and family matters . In the late 80s and early 90s.

The show was successful because she did things her way. Yes she fired people but it was to ensure the show was done properly and ensured the show was authentic. As much as she was representing the ‘blue class’ she is still a business woman and being the boss sometimes means you have to make decisions that make you unpopular.

Great show, but it did hit a really low point when they became wealthy. I don't remember if they hit the lotto, or something else, but i remember not liking the direction the show took.

The last season was made up by Roseanne because Dan had actually died the season before so the lottery storyline didn't actually happen according to how she wrote it

The usual way writers try to erase big blunders is through "dream" sequences. They'll probably pretend that Roseanne dreamed the entire season after Dan's death.

the episode when jackies bf beat her up. i think it made everyone who liked the show like dan even more than they already did. he didnt say a word and went and stepped up for his sister in law. and whooped thats dudes ass. i got the thought that they did the episode of it to show the world that they wont put up with men doing that to women and wanted to show that other dont have to either. and theres help for those who may be stuck in a shitty place like that.

I ABSOLUTELY thank Roseanne... even though it was comedy, her show made things less stressful at times and it pertain to real life issues. I truly love this show.. re-runs everyday and the new one.. great so far~... Some might not agree with her but down deep... it's awesome~ LOVE IT.. great actors as well with exception of two.. but won't say, but as my hubby says, the first pulled off the attitude, 2nd one didn't.. but I like the it ~... TY ROSEANNE~ AWESOME LADY~

I can’t wait for this. My daughter and I always sat ate watermelon and watched Roseanne. Was our thing. 3 years ago. I had to have her watch one of my favs and she fell in love too.

I grew up watching this with my mom every night. Still to this day my favorite tv show because it was as real as it gets. I’m sad to see what they did to her. It wasn’t right. I watched the debut last nite. It was pretty good, made me feel like I was 11 again. I loved Roseanne as a kid and still do.

I still think tom Arnold got w her bcuz she was a huge star at the time he was just trying to forward his own career

Still one of my personally favorite shows of all time that aired when I was a kid growing up in the 80's. The yearly Halloween episodes were a special treat every year, pun intended.

The realest show ever to be shown on tv. Nothing has ever compared to Rosanne. I miss this show so much.

I refuse to watch Roseanne without Roseanne! Shame on the lot of them for turning on Roseanne! There is no loyalty among thieves..

I'll never forget how great it was when Dan picked up his jacket after he found out that the guy beat up Jackie.

I was only 2 1/2 when the show ended. So sadly I never saw an live new episode. But thanks to Nick at Night I fell in love with this show and is one of favs of all time

Roaeanne broke new ground with her series, showing the reality of the family unit in a new light. Her comments that ended the reboot series in 2018 were so uncalled for - but how she handled the situation after the fact was very admirable

I just started watching a few weeks ago. I was too young to understand this show growing up! I love it. I love how real this show is.

Biggest fail was firing Rosanne.... now the conners show is flat and left.

0:24 I remember when Chris Connelly was a “reporter” for MTV News.

This was one of my favourite shows growing up. My family related to them so much and it was refreshing to see a family on TV who genuinely struggled with various issues. I've been incredibly excited for this reboot, but now that Roseanne is proudly supporting Trump and incorporating it into the show, I honestly don't know if I can watch it. Really disappointed.

My uncle died the week the episode Dan died aired. We always said he reminded us of Dan Conner too. Such a sad time.

Fun fact: when I was like, 5, I thought that Roseanne and Full House were connected. I know, but a lot of names were the same and 5 year old me was c o n f u s i o n

I am a HUGE Roseanne fan. I own tge complete series and have seen every episode several times. And I'm currently watching the revival and I LOVE it!!!

They decided that her character wasn't useful as Roseanne's sidekick anymore, since Jackie fulfilled that role. On the show, they explained that they never saw her much anymore since Dan and his dad didn't get along very well.

Funny how fast they all turned on her just after she gave everyone a number 1 show 🤷‍♂️

That's not "Drama Behind The Scenes" that my friend is called "Quality Control".

I love this show!! It shows real stuff and that’s what tv should be about and not some cookie cutter life.

Yes the show should still be on the air. Once again let the viewers decide. Stop deciding for us.

I watched Roseanne when I was young. Now my teenage daughters watch it and love it. Every now again one of my daughters will say "lets watch Rosanne". There's so much humour and reality in this show.

Ive looked up to Roseanne my whole life. I watched her show everyday and would pretend her family was mine to escape my reality. In fifth grade, i was on the phone with my friend and she asked if i had to get stuck on an island with one person and there was no way of escaping (so we were there forever) instead of my family or boyfriends or whatever, I blurted out “ROSEANNE DUH”. She’s such a great role model and she sees Hollywood for what it really is and i respect her so much for it 💖

I love Roseanne it is very relatable . their a lot of similarities to my Family. She did a good job making episode's that people could relate. Only put to the later season it got ruin winning the lottery

Still is the number 1 show in my house. Always was and Always will Be. Love You ROSEANNE. ❤

I wish that the network had been able to negotiate a way to keep Roseanne on the rebooted show. I love all the original characters, but it's just not the same without Roseanne. I'm not taking sides, it just makes me sad that Roseanne had to sign away the rights to a character she created and to a show that is basically her life story. She was clearly sorry or she wouldn't have signed those rights away in order to make sure everyone else associated with the show would continue to be employed. Now I wonder what the reboot would have been like if it had been allowed to go on as planned.

Thanks ABC for digging deep into the "drama" part of the show,, and the many examples you gave.

I grew up watching this show and watched it over many times. During the pandemic I was watching it again with my boyfriend at the time, once again it was a comfort through hard times. Even the reboot season was really good despite coming 20 years later, of course I won't be watching The Connors.

I loved watching reruns as a kid, I enjoyed it very much.

I loved this show as a child. I watched it by myself. I was known as I the black white girl. Rosanne developed my sense of humor. I’m forever grateful!

Its a timeless show. Its revelant today as it was in its hay day. This show was part of my adulthood.

The funny scene on that domestic violence Roseanne episode , is that earlier Dan got into a argument with the Principal at DJ’s school and reassured the principle they are a good family, at the very end the Principal see’s Dan arrested sitting in the back of the cop car and Dan even waves at him with his handcuffs still on 😂

There has has not been another show like Roseanne since her show ended. Roseanne is a one of a kind all American show. It's rare that a show talks about real working class people like she did.

This show is full of nostalgia of my childhood. I remember wishing Dan was my Dad.
