I am sure Brian has learned the hard way this time and I hope he can find a way back to his best because his content over the years has been very good. I think he needed this downfall to reflect, I just wish it wasn't at the expense of others. Thank you for the video Vizeh, I look forward to more like this 👍

I really enjoyed the video and agreed with most of the conclusions made with regards some of the errors of judgement Brian has made over the years. The old adage that 'You have to pick your battles' seems apt here as although 95% of the discerning world think Andrew Tate as God's gift to the toilet seat, he's not the sort of litigious psychopath you want as an enemy. Similarly, the smug and reptilian Laurence McKenna was the reason a lot of people stopped watching the Kick Off (you can also add McKola, Jennings and Buvey to the mix) I've always liked the big fella. He's honest and forthright but just needs to learn that one man's irreverent is another's de-monitized video or revoked sponsorship deal.

Honestly it’s sad to see truegeordies downfall because I genuinely think he’s a good person at heart. But it’s hard to argue that this downfall isn’t self inflicted. Personally I think Brian should go on a break and just completely refresh himself and get himself back into a happy place

I found out about him in early 2015 when Spencer fc was doing a football manager series with him and Highwizzy. I decided to check out his channel, and I instantly loved his content, both the personal and the gaming stuff (in particular the Newcastle career mode and Shearer's road to glory on FIFA 15 and 16) were the pinnacle of his early success for me. What he produced was quality. He genuinely seemed like an honest and humble guy, who despite his constant ranting, was a fun content creator. After that he started to change quite a bit. He started to grow as a content creator and even started his own podcast. After a while he had people like Shearer (his biggest idol) and Ricky Gervais on his podcast, which was great to see. Unfortunately for some of his lifelong fans, he started to delete his older videos, not just some of them but basically all of them that made him the person he is today. I also want to add that I can't stand that Laurence guy, he just comes across as rude and arrogant, and he was one of the main reasons why I gave up watching his content. It's a shame because his older videos were hilarious.

That was a really good put together video! I rarely comment on videos but feel compelled to. Never been a fan of True Geordie but maybe that is because I only found Brians content once he was in the arrogant/ego stage you mention in the video. So as someone that came late to the party I've always seen this current version of Brian, I don't see a good person or someone with a good heart that many in the comments are mentioning; if you believe this man is a good person then you really need some better people in your lives. I believe money and fame is like alcohol, it amplifies who that person is deep down. Brian has always been quick to make reactionary videos where others have slipped up and made mistakes where he has hounded them for it; goading that they take account and then each time I've witnessed this man screw up he does the complete opposite. To this day I believe he has considerably the worst apology video I've ever had the misfortune of watching. What is worrying is that those around him actually believed it was wise to publish that video; absolutely anyone around him that saw that video before it was published to KZread and didn't tell him its a terrible idea isn't someone he should have around him - it was so bad it almost felt like a hatchet job. I am pretty sure he ended it with like and subscribe; all you need to know about this individual. He only then made a proper apology video because of the backlash; not because he was sorry. He was just sorry it didn't go down well. Laurence McKenna is just as odious and has showed his lack of backbone on multiple occasions while continuing to pander to Brian. Their comments regarding Clash of Creators was disgusting and clearly had forgotten about their more humble beginnings; clearly Brian had forgotten how he started where he was making content with a phone perched on an ironing board, apparently. Laurence was definitely worse than Brian on this but as per usual they don't hold one another to account. This was Laurences coming of fame/ego and just like alcohol your personality is amplified and little shock Laurence hasn't got a good one. That said Brian did come out of the August 2019 mocking of leaked DMs very well and I feel like what he gets upto in the bedroom as long as its legal and consensual I really couldn't give a toss. I have more issue with whoever leaked the DMs as clearly they are someone lacking in integrity and clout chasing. It was a perfect response by Brian and he owned it. This isn't the only time I've had some credit given to Brian; as a big boxing fan I actually really enjoyed how he challenged Tyson Fury over his then upcoming Derek Chisora fight but it was I am pretty sure only days later he made his stupid comments about Andrew Tate. While those 15 seconds were beyond stupid it wasn't his first comments of this nature and surprised you didn't include it as it shows the true stain that is his personality; that time Laurence also didn't check him for it which again shows what he is made of. I don't give him any credit for his 'Talks Islam' video because it isn't genuine. He wasn't genuinely interested; he was just 'doing time' and did it to save his channel(s) and to appeal to the more forgiving and naïve.

I was a long time subscriber to the kick off, and to Brian and the other lads, and when this happened I didn’t really think much of it because he’d said controversial things in the past. But the way he dealt with it, and that original apology video really rubbed me the wrong way, so I quoted him on Twitter and gave my thoughts. They weren’t attacking him, they were genuinely constructive, he then proceeded to block me on everything, Twitter, IG, and when I put into his chat about it, I was banned from the streams too. Just sucks, I didn’t hate him for it, didn’t even really care about what he said I just wish he would’ve taken more accountability at first, because everything after that then seemed like damage control. He doesn’t owe me anything just because I’ve given money, but when you’ve spent money of the course of years subscribing and super chats etc… to get blocked because you said you didn’t think he dealt with this in the right way, idk it felt unjust. He has every right to block whoever he wants, but at the same time just felt like he wasn’t interested in what any of his longtime fans actually felt about the situation. If you mentioned it it’s a straight block.

Great vid again Liam, I've also been watching Brian for like 5-6 years and I definitely agree the content has got worse and less relatable. I actually quite liked True News- mocking the rest of the Internet and showing how weird it can be. I used to always watch the kick off as well. But I do agree his podcast was always his best work. I feel like he switched to prioritising the kick off as he saw an open lane to earn money in, and then made it more professional to appeal more to brands. Essentially meaning the downfall of his content would be prioritising money making. His apology vids really show this as well- they don't seem authentic and seem like he's trying to save his brand and his money rather than apologising to those he has hurt. I really do hope his content does improve though because I still think the guy is a great and entertaining guy at heart, he just needs to fix up the direction of his content.

I think it's a damn shame that the thing that did the most damage to Brian was a joke he made to Andrew Tate of all people... The jokes weren't that bad, it was funny and people need to grow a thicker skin. The saddest thing I have noticed is that he deleted all of his older videos... The ones where it's just him talking about football.

I saw your post on twitter regarding getting blocked. So I was curious. I'm a fan of TG, and I'm from newcastle, so probably have a bit of a bias. But I insisted on watching every second of this, because I wanted to see if the blocking was justified and seemed like you were confused in your tweet. I think the problem with this video (and it's a good video explaining everything that's happened) is exactly what the video is. You're highlighting everything that has happened, while TG tries to move forward, he doesn't need people focusing on what has happened, he is a human, and even to this day, is still littered with jokes and abuse because of the texts that got leaked. A leak that if he was a woman, would be seen as the victim because of the leak, but instead is piled on. That is why he turns off most of his comments - this wasn't touched on in the video, not really. As for the video itself, you started it as saying that you were going to be impartial - the video then spiralled into you just sharing your opinion on everything - that is rather partial, as is my opinion, as is everyone's opinion and that's fine, but perhaps the problem is more so framing it as 'impartiality' when it's not. So I think that's why you got blocked. You both insulted him and Laurence, even Rory for a laugh as well. It's all about framing and you framed it one way, while presenting it differently. You accused TG of certain things near the end and so of course he was going to take that personally. It's not impartial. With that said, it was a good video, but I think if you were to put yourself on the receiving end of this video, and listen to how you're wording things and framing situations, events, opinions, you'll soon realise this video COULD just become hate bait for people to hate on TG, and he has been vocal in ensuring the negativity isn't a focus for him as that's when his depression truly suffers. He turned off the comments for the safety of his mental health and life and that is why he blocked you.

Since then not watched at all, besides what made the kickoff great was never TG, it was always people like Lawrence, Buvey, Hugh Wizzy, Adam and Rory. The fact that The Club is also now a thing is probably the biggest reason for the decline in views.

Would love another football nostalgia video. As much as we all wear rose tinted glasses when it comes to football and fifa during our childhood, it really felt so much better then, down to the presentation on tv. The amount of world class strikers in the late 2000s/early 2010s was mad - Ibra, rvp, Rooney, drogba, torres, Villa, Suarez, tevez, muller, eto’o and so many more compared to now where there’s barely a handful of proper world class strikers outside of haaland

@@Vizeh It’s a difficult situation. Would people make the same amount of fuss if he made the joke about Irish people due to IRA history? Maybe. We can have one of two worlds. One where people say offensive things, but people have enough mental toughness to disregard them as just words. Another where people struggle emotionally when they hear offensive things so offensive comments are not allowed. Ultimately which one are we aiming for? We can only have one. So which of the options is better? Maybe too philosophical for a Monday 😀. Great Video by the way.

Brian seems like a decent guy, but from a tough background where money, sex and cars were very tempting as they are usually the reserve of which people (bar sex ofc!), and it was immersive for him like a Geordie Wolf of Ball Street. "Loz" in my opinion suffers from narcissism, which he lets himself believe is his sense of humour. Since Georgie got Loz in maybe this was doomed to happen. I guess also society is increasingly sensitive and Geordie is very straight talking.

Great video Vizeh, if you decide to ever make another football iceberg video I suggest you'd take a look at polish football as there were many fan related incidents and a lot of matchfixing. Most of the corruption in the polish footballing piramid has yet to be covered by a english speaking media of sort. The most memorable scandel that comes to mind involed matchfixing a polish cup finale from 1998 between Amica Wronki and Alluminium Konin. The polish football sphere has more to offer and just by looking into it you could uncover some gems. Not even a while ago in a match between my local Lechia Gdansk and Akademija Pandev in the Europa Confrence League Qualifiers some hooligans stormed our ultras end and made a mess which almost led to lechia being kicked out of the Qualis. Anyhow I hope you get to read this as history of polish football deserves more regonition outside of Poland. Good luck going forward.
