Can you honestly see these animal being 'worked'? They can barely walk. Look up a well known saying - "In Heaven there is dragon meat, on Earth there is donkey meat". Different culture, different meat. Still no reason for neglect or abuse.

Seems like a lot of donkey owners don't know how to properly care for their animals and they bring them to this gentleman to fix that.
as soon as that man seen you was filming him hitting the donkey he stopped and just start pushing it,i have seen a great improvement in the treatment of these donkeys when being filmed well done sister xiahui,you have to remember your viewers do not want to see animal abuse

Yes the twit hitting the donkey annoyed the hell out of me. I'm very supportive of the work being done by the farrier but these owners or whoever they are need the stick turned on them for their neglect and animal abuse.

This is rural China. Not your yuppie planned community in California. Access to nice tools and professionals isn’t something that the developing parts of China have. They have to make do with hand tools that have been used for many years.

As I understand it, these donkeys are coming to be sold. The hoof trimmer works at the yard, the owners pay him to trim the donkey’s hooves to maximize its’ value when sold. This is how donkey hooves are professionally cut in many places in the world. They don’t need a farrier, they don’t wear horseshoes. While I’m quite sure that these animals have been neglected, and the way they treat them at the yard seems cruel at times, I don’t think the hoof trimmer is crippling them. I think they were crippled before, and he is doing what he can to improve them. Do you see something I don’t? I’m no expert on animal welfare or hooves.
What these poor animals have to go thru is pure torture

Is it TRULY necessary to twist the donkeys nose sooo much as well as hit hit with a switch AND pull him just to move him 10 feet for hoof trimming? Though the trimming is absolutely necessary it would be great to see the Sensei move towards the donkey. Just saying. SMH.

But if the sensei is going “to” the donkey, not the owner bringing the donkey to him, why does the donkey in the immense pain they are in always have to be moved around. Why can’t the Master bring his tools and stool to the donkey? I guess I don’t get it. The donkeys are always in so much pain before they see the master, I don’t get why they have to be moved from one place to another, even if it’s just a few feet. I guess I don’t understand.
