Here in the United States, we have people who on a regular basis trim the hooves of farmer's cattle. They also sand them down with a sander meant only to be used for that purpose. Now with that being said, I noticed that these donkies hooves are not being taken care of on a regular basis. There is no reason why they should have rotten hooves and dermatitis of their chorium. They are in pain and I'm sure no pain medication is being administered to them. This is shameful and cruel animal treatment. Hire a vet doctor.

@@jas8471 Those donkeys are in too much pain to run around. The hooves have been so neglected, most likely this has been happening since birth. One man in another donkey video said his donkeys feet had not been trimmed in 8 years. The hoof was actually growing over the shoes. If they are unable to work due to being lame and not fixable the are slaughtered and eaten.

There in the United States, you have people who won't pay to maintain either their animals welfare or their own due to the cost of medical care. The knife being used in this video to trim the donkey's hooves is a traditional instrument which allows a persons weight to be applied to the sharp cutting edge as the top is nestled into the shoulder. Hoofed mammal babies are born with soft hooves which harden up over time on exposure to the air. Unfortunately some don't harden up right. Donkeys are descendants of the wild ass which frequented arid areas in Asia. Consequently if donkey babies don't get the right conditions underfoot, or have some congenital issue then problems occur. Animal neglect is regrettably something that is as true in the United States as anywhere else on the planet. Grow up!

All the people standing around and no one came to help keep the poor thing from falling or comfort it when it was having a hard time standing, just tie it tighter to the post. I have raised horses for years and would never let mine be treated like this. They have no compassion for the animals in their care. So sad.

No way that’s only 2 months old. It takes months of neglect to get hooves that are that overgrown. I don’t think that donkeys ever had a farrier touch its feet before. He definitely doesn’t know how to stand still for the Farrier. Another case of neglect and abuse.

Chickens and Pigs packed into tight pens, wallowing in their own piss and feces. animals with sores on their hinds, from sitting too long. The fact that these donkeys are getting some kind of hoof maintenance is better than these American or European factory farms. Backwards people? You just don't see whats going on in the factory farms because the Corporations and gov't cover it up better. Western Countries mechanize animal cruelty on a massive scale.

Donkeys are horribly abused in many countries. They are not viewed as living creatures with feelings, but as tools to get work done. If they can't work anymore, they are killed or abandoned. The guy cutting the hooves didn't care at all about the donkey's pain.

No..I don't appreciate how these farriers carve without respect to the animals anatomy and don't even recognize how severely they pull the legs out of alignment as they line up the chisel. The donkey yells and the flurries doesn't even look back at the animal. These farriers act like butchers. They are simply paid to trim the hoofs before the owners take the animal to the sale pen. If not for the sale the baby wouldn't be trimmed at all. Wretched!.

@@themessenger4208 have you seen the factory farms in US and UK, and all over Europe? Chickens and Pigs packed into tight pens, wallowing in their own piss and feces. animals with sores on their hinds, from sitting too long. The fact that these donkeys are getting some kind of hoof maintenance is better than these American or European factory farms. You just don't see whats going on in the factory farms because the Corporations and gov't cover it up better. Western Countries mechanize animal cruelty on a massive scale.

@@_Wai_Wai_ Yes, I do know and I don't agree with it either. I don't agree with mishandling or mistreating any animal anywhere in the world or local. You can get mad at anyone and anywhere about this, but that does not excuse you. Yes, you are doing a great service, but get real, the animal is in enough stress as it is without being handle and treated with such indifference. Talk about cats and their kittens...we could get into how some of the dogs are treated where you are, especially for food...that would be an eye opener, wouldn't it????? One leg at a time...right?
