Have I ever stayed at the Dolder? I feel like I have now. Love your videos.

One of my favorite things to do in Zurich is to take the Lake Boat ride which goes all around the lake and stops at various villages along the way. One can get off the boat, explore the village, and then get back on the next boat. As with everything in Switzerland it’s all precisely timed. What delightful memories I have.

Wow! To me, the Dolder redefines five star. No stranger to your videos this place just blew me away!! Especially the curved mirror hallway and the curved ceiling-to-floor windows in your room.

My Father, Mother, myself and my two younger siblings toured Europe in Jensen Interceptors (his and hers!) and stopped here for several nights and will never forget it. Magnificent 🥂

The fruit plate alone has me jealous!

Gosh, I love historical buildings so much!! I've stayed in this hotel and it's gorgeous.

Just read the review and I'm on the floor laughing....... Perhaps the best line in a hotel review anywhere; "although this is Switzerland of course, where budgets come to die". Priceless !!!!!!

I spent a weekend in the Dolder Grand hotel in 1980 following a gruelling 4 week business trip to Nigeria. It was pretty amazing back then too.

Well the Dolder Grand is not really a city hotel. It’s a beautiful property that’s ideally located in Zurich

We visited Zurich in 2017 and it is one of the most fabulous places we've had the privilege to visit. Climbing Mt. Pilatus, Trummelbach falls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the Golden Pass sightseeing train from Lucerne...a wide array of stunning things to see and do. We will definitely be making a return visit in the coming years!

When I traveled Europe I flew into Amsterdam and out through Zurich. The city is amazing! And I saw this hotel but didn't stay in it. I liked being closer to the city. Thanks for sharing and the memories!💗

Turning in tonight with dreams of the incredible view of the Swiss Alps from this classic hotel. The al fresco restaurant Saltz feels like an ideal place to sip a drink with a loved one gazing at the stunning Swiss landscape. This place seems like a veritable museum. A virtual treat for all the senses. Thank you doc for introducing us to such an elevated lifestyle.

My husband and I hope to bring our children to the hotel, so they can know their ancestors who built this hotel. My grandmother is a Dolder who is related to the same dolders who built the place. My great-aunt knew them and would visit the place loads of times in the past. I am also hoping to find family while we visit there. See you soon

We’ve enjoyed some great places in Zurich but this is definitely on our radar now. Beautifully done video.

I absolutely love zurich - one my favorite things to do is walk around the city and see the amazing lakes every where and nature. Makes you feel as if you are not in the city. I can’t wait to take my son with me in the future ~ in the mean time I will working on my German. I intend to own a home in Zurich in the near future 🙏🏾

Yep, it's a very nice walk going upside by foot through the hill (watching the houses' gardens full in bloom in summer), the area gong the Dolder is so full of green and trees, you can feel the fresh air... the view is magic up there and the food at the Restaurant is so unique, and the right expensive :) I really miss Zurich and the experience at Dolder, see you there, one day... be well you all, Peace.

I stayed at the Dolder Grand hotel a few times and will stay there again every time I visit Zürich. During Christmas it’s magical. They have the best spa and indoor pool and the breakfast buffet is best in Europe ❤️❤️

I’d love to stay there BUT if I ever attempted that, my Sister and Brother-in-Law would be deeply hurt. They live just outside of Zurich in Zug, Switzerland. Peace in the family you know. 😉. Just beware of the Brother-in-Law who invites you to come along on a morning walk ... take it from me ... walking DOWN the mountain is the easy part of the walk. 😂🙄. Great presentation as always 👍🏻

A very clever renovation

I've been to Switzerland. It's an incredibly beautiful country, but also eye-wateringly expensive! It's right up there with other pricey European destinations like Monaco, Luxembourg and Norway in terms of being seriously budget-busting/ wallet-emptying! 😲😲😲😲

My parents would stay at the Dolder or the Baur Au Lac in Zurich. Had heard about them all my life.

I can realy recommend the Dolder Sunday-Brunch.❤ It costed 100.- Fr. for each person, but the food was extrordinary.. from normal breakfast foods to champagne and up to a big variety of cooked foods (already Lunch-stuff) everything fully fresh and all you can eat. And the self made chocolate was absolutley amazing. Very calm place, extremley clean, very friendly staff. 5 stars indeed.. If you intend to spend a night there, i would recommend to ask specifically to NOT getting put into the room where that murder-case happend. But thats just my personal recommendation... 😅

Yeah, it is really stunning, the only better hotel in Switzerland is maybe THE VIEW Lugano, even they are practically identical in terms of exclusivity.

First that was a another quality video. This hotel looks absolutely stunning on the inside and the views look amazing, however for me, the hotel from the outside doesn’t look very impressive. I’m sure they were trying to keep with the original design but I believe it looks dated.

Wow.. The footage of your videos is awesome. Great work. And great information in your videos. Your videos are addictive. Can i ask you ... what gear do you use? I like photography but i enjoy knowing about the technical aspects of any kind of images and yours are great.

Stayed there and maybe 1989? There was some sort of big financial conference going on. I thought it was sort of old and run down, but I guess that's cool in Europe
