My wife and I have gone to Portofino and stayed at the Belmond Splendido for 15 straight years from the US. It is like our second home and we have become friends with many of the staff. We feel it’s the finest hotel in the world.

I used to live in 6 different countries in the world. Italy is definitely the most beautiful one. Style, history, landscapes, seaside and sunshine, people's warmth, food, design, culture and much more.

You can't take your eyes of Portofino, the sea, the landscape and architecture merge into each other in an almost magical way. The hotel placed in the right spot. That is probably why it is so popular and a little overpriced also. But it doesn't matter. When you move around in the beautiful gardens and swim in the pool with the sea right beneath you, your daily concerns and sorrows suddenly become far less important. Nicely done! Thank you.

This place is too much I'm telling you

I have had the fortune to stay at this incredible hotel. The amount of Ferraris and other high end cars gobsmacked me. I dont think I have ever been to another hotel with that much money sitting on the driveway! The views are sensational. The service another level. That pool deck overlooking the bay with the super yachts etc ....just fabulous. I had a room like yours .... fantastic fabulous views. All you need with so much to see too. Stunning place to visit.

I truly appreciate the fact that in one continuous, unedited 5 minute shot you smoothly took us up the driveway, past the supercars, through the interior, and out to the pool overlooking the yacht with every step along the way looking like it came straight from a postcard. Well done indeed!

I spent a day and night there in the late 90s and it was even more spectacular than this tour can show!

The opening scene of Portofino looks surreal, almost dreamlike. Absolutely captivating. Superb Hotel. Great Video.

I can't wait to stay at this hotel one day....speaking things into existence

Passalacqua in Lake Como is a lil bit more stunning in my opinion, also Rome Cavalieri, Le Sirenuse in the Amalfi Coast, Four Seasons Firenze it's another world, Hotel Cipriani in Venice deserves a movie for himself, and a lot more, but the thing we can all agree at is that Italy is lovely, probably the most beautiful country on earth, you have it everything, Mediterranean Sea, the most beautiful Lakes, snowy alps, islands, beautiful and romantic language, fashion capital of the world, arguably the best gastronomy on earth, beautiful Fine Arts and museums, the best luxury cars, the amazing culture, passionate and welcoming people, beautiful ladies, history, etc etc.

We stayed in the Splendido and will never forget its beauty! We also had the best dinner in our life at the restaurant. Thank you for the video...we even saw our table...exquisite!

What an absolutely stunning hotel. The gardens just beg you to relax. The town of Portofino is so picturesque and inviting. I envy you. Thank you for taking us along another fabulous tour.

Employees: masks. Guests: No masks. I'm not traveling anywhere in the near future. Italy was one of the first major hot spots.

Me and JLo spend a memorable weekend there. Then my alarm rang, and it was time to wake up....

I totally love the flowers and foliage all over the property... I like that it's close to the water-front..looks like it's nestled into a small area...i like the flooring in the signature restaurant. The bedroom itself seems a little neat in size but yet cosy..love the little terrace out there. Good Video

In my opinion the hotel is definitely enchanting in its public areas both interior and exterior, the view to die for, but the room too tiny and basic could not satisfy the needs of today luxury traveller. However your videos are everytime OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks so much for all your efforts! 👍🤗

Simply wonderful and elegant. Perfect. How I'd love to wander the gardens..... and, finally!! enough flowers for me!!! 😄 lol!! Food looks delicious ( especially that salad for lunch!). Pool is stunning...love the whole area... music was a great choice! Entire production top notch, dear LTE. Bravo! Well done! Thank you, again!

Marvelous! I would have left my heart there. In the Summer of 2019, we stopped less than one hour in Portofino because we were in a rush. The little paradise is still on our list for a longer stay. Not in Belmond Hotel for sure (Tres cher!) but a visit and a lunch is a must after I have watched your video. Thanks!

One of the most enchanting Hotels in Portofino, embracing all that's best about the Ligurian Riviera.

I could never afford that hotel but I love learning about these iconic luxury hotels around the world, especially in Italy. I stayed at a moderately price hotel in Santa Margherita in 2010 and took the local bus over to Portofino for a daytrip. Just a lovely magical little place and at the end of the day took a boat back via Portovenere. Naturally, I enjoyed your video of Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lago Como. It's another beautiful area of which I've been, on a daytrip from Milan. Looking forward to next week's flight video. ✈

I was very lucky to have stayed here about 27 years ago when I was in my early 20s travelling around Italy I decided to give myself a treat for one night however that was a long time ago and the prices were not nearly as high but it was exactly as beautiful as it is today an absolute breathtaking oasis and the management was incredibly gracious and kind Which made my experience unforgettable I still talk about it to my kids to this day all the time hoping I can go back one day to bring them there

Beautiful location, pool and gardens! The actual room though, especially in comparison to the rest of the property, felt like the staff’s rooms on Downton Abby. And for $850 euros!

Very nice and grandeur hotel overlooking the sea is a spectacular, flowers of pink and white, full greenery all are awesome, the black and white marbel floor like chessboard and the pastel colors on the pillars are extraordinary.

Wow...this video brings back wonderful memories for my family, stayed at this fabulous hotel in 2009 and we enjoyed every inch of it. It’s probably the best hotel and the best city we ever visited. Dreaming of when we’re able to come back. Thank you for posting this video.

That's a bit of an overstatement. Harrison was just one of the many. Liz Taylor, Richard Burton, Eddie Fisher, Rita Hayworth, Sofia Loren, Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Ava Gardner, James Stewart, Frank Sinatra, Tyrone Power, Linda Christian, Ingrid Bergman, Brigitte Bardot, Greta Garbo, Vittorio Gassman, Marcello Mastroianni, Liza Minnelli, Alain Delon etc used to spend their holidays in Portofino back in the days, too. So, I'm pretty sure it's not only Harrison's merit why Portofino is so famous

This whole place looks more like a perfume ad or film/movie set than a real place!

To let you know how special they are to me, I recently enjoyed a reverie of strolling the remote garden terraces of the Villa Carlotta: Then I got terribly muddled in my head, because I've never been to Italy, and thought "I must have dreamt it." But It was your video of Grand Hotel (Tremezzo--I'm uncertain of the name) on Lake Como. You took all of us to the upper reaches of the hotel's garden, formerly one end of the Villa's grounds. Similarly, I really enjoyed the garden paths and perches here in Portofino. Thank You.

This hotel have a classical and decadent interior. And the view is incredibly stunning. This must be one of the top 5 romantic destinations or hotels.

I am very lucky to have experienced this hotel at a very young age, this hotel reminds me of sooo many memories at the ripe naive age of 7 years old 🥺

Watching this i can only imagine how rich the people are who visit this insanely gorgeous hotel. Money is dripping at every turn. Just magnificient. I can only dream of seeing a place like this in my lifetime. The landscape is just gorgeous its a pleasure to watch. Maybe one day after all this covid stuff is over i can visit Italy

I know my parents stayed at the Hotel de Paris in Montecarlo... and this video reminded me that they've mentioned this one (although I don't think stayed.. have to ask) but I was too young to understand what all the fuss was about back then.. Now I know.. ;-) I got to do this one for them one day... Just the height of exquisite.. Great editing and choice of music THANKS!

Also the little town had the most wonderful bakery run by this lovely man who made the most incredible focaccia I’ve ever eaten in my whole life he was so proud I really wonder if he is still running the bakery but this was 27 years ago

For a minute in the food portion section of your video, I thought I was listening Ennio Morricone - Malena. Again the food portion of your video is outstanding. I don't think I could eat the rack of lamb but everything else looks beautiful. I notice that in this video you have small glances of your family. Something you have never presented before.
