Never gets old. The best view ever from a balcony.

On our civil wedding day, we took the night train to Naples and crossed the bay to Capri the next morning. We spent 5 wonderful days in this hotel. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the bay. I have travelled the world since I was 15 but this place is one of those I return over and over again. I remember so well. We walked up the 2 minutes walk to Anancapri and rented a Vespa, one of those 50tie's looking motor rollers. When we came back to the hotel, I suddenly realised that we were parking it between a Ferrari and a Jaguar, and I went to ask the concierge if this was a problem. The Vespa looked quite battered. The guy smiled and came out to the parking in the courtyard, saw the motor roller and took it and pushed it once around the courtyard and said in a typical, most endearing and happy Italian: E no Signora, This is Italy! I would love to ride this Vespa right now myself! - And he smiled a proud Italian smile and further said: Ecco, this is what is luxury: having time to live the simple pleasures like riding an old battered Vespa. The Ferr and the Jag would ride it, too if they could. --- This was exactly 13 years ago last Saturday. This place is amazing. Between all the luxury, it's the simple and loving Italian heart that I remember most from the Cesar Augustus. We're back every now and then.

Your doing the Great Work. After a long marriage and a abrupt end to it with my wife..These places take me back to a better time. We traveled to many of these places I myself and the memories come back as I watch your videos...it's so surreal that in some of your shots I remember walking down that hall way or eating at a certain table. God bless you ...live long and healthy.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. What I remember most is the sublime intimacy of our stay and the views. Staff were truly hospitable as Italians are. I am at peace when I’m in beautifully maintained gardens and the gardens of Italy did not disappoint! It also helped that my late husband was of Italian decent and was fluent in Italian 😉. Thank you for bringing back wonderful touching memories.

I keep going back to this trip report.....the view with the background music created a magical relaxing effect....i can't get enough of this place.

For those curious, the song played on the balcony (from 5:50 - 8:20) is "The Bloom of Her Skin" by David Celeste. - - - You're welcome!

The most beautiful elegant hotel that you have reviewed. Not too off the top yet have its own charm. Going to put it on my bucket list.

Good Lord! That view is stupefying! How does anyone ever get anything done!? I'd be trying to brush my teeth, look out the sink window, and Shazam! I'd be frozen, mid brush! Those terrace gardens are obviously the work of decades of planning. It takes a fiendishly precise eye to create those lovely little strolling pathways with carefully arranged sitting areas. And these are aromatic gardens, so there has to be a coordination of blooming and new leaves. A life time of toil. I like the color scheme in the room of white and green. Very soothing.

Thanks for the care and artistic determination you've achieved to produce such evocative, cinematic episodes, truly more epic than mere travel videos commonly seen on KZread. Your graceful movements and exacting detail of your scenes are made whole by the skillful choice of film score - an art in itself. I often have to remind myself that I'm not watching an expressive drama or documentary, and relish in the rich and sonorous music, of equal importance. You are certainly an artist bringing together the sights and sounds of your travels, a palette of colours and orchestrations that transport me into your world. I especially enjoyed this location and your presentation. I notice and appreciate all the little details you are striving for. All the very best to you in your travels and thanks for sharing.

I totally agree with Marshall’s beautiful description of your eloquent presentations. We stream them with our Roku, to watch on our big screen. Such beauty, peace & joy it gives us. Thank you so much for these wonderful ‘gifts’! I used to search for movies that would give me only 2 minutes of the foreign scenery that I’m craving. It’s January 2022, & I live in the US on the Northeastern coast. It’s winter now, with a blizzard approaching, & the only really spectacular places I’ve seen have been Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. But now I’ve only to go to your channel for a taste of superb foreign travel! Thanks again. All our best to you!

I've been wanting to go to Capri for a long time. This Hotel though is just stunning, the views are gorgeous, the building is spectacular and the rooms are just brilliant. I am definitely taking my family here in summer and I thank you for showing me this wonderful place

I love the old hotels with heavy furniture and tradition: funny, lots of people from oversee would say then ''it's dated''. Italy is an old country with history, no modern furniture would do it.

The kind of people who consider Italy, its architecture, buildings, hotels etc. "dated" or "backward" are ignorant parvenu basically. The harmony of the past and of the classic is something that doesn't belong to the contemporary world as style, good taste and above all quality. I always prefer a classic villa, an historical palace or even a bespoke suit to an anonymous contemporary building or a brand. Look at that tiles, for example: they are pianted by hand. Massification is the death of the human soul.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times. I was visited by the ghost of Caesar. He spoke in Latin and lucky for me , I studied Latin throughout college. He was very bold in speaking . I didn't tremble when he came into my room. He didn't ask any questions. More so he was telling how great he was. All I could do is bow to his presense and exclaim hail Caesar !

WOWWWW !! I am so loving your on the spot videos seeing them in person (so to speak) I can truly feel the Ambience of each property. Italy is a #1 must for me. Tyou for sharing these videos.

Its amazing that the breeze has not damaged all the roof or balconies. It would be amazing to have a deep study. Where i live, there are houses that because of the breeze the surfaces fell like rocks.

WO.OW!!!!! this Cesar August is........ SPECTACULAR.... !!!GARDENS, THE FARM PLACE, PSCINES, VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS.... THE TERRANCES... AMAZING WITH THAT STATUE....VERY PRIVATED, THE VIEWS OF THAT GYM...WOW, THE FOOD!!!!... is one of your best videos!!! i want to go to this fantastic Hotel!! :D you captured the moment no need to give your apoligies to us!!! :) the bad thing was in the lobbies there are few space to walk or cross around the place...armhairs, chairs, tables, too tight for so little space. :O i love your videos man, im a fan of them :)

Such an perfect video and one of my favourite from your channel! The hotel is located in my hometown :) I love how your written reviews complete the videos and I always tend to agree with your observations, for example the style of some spaces is a bit old-fashioned and dated and there could be more attention to details, like for those terrible printed labels for the breakfast. Too cheap for a 5 star place. This video is amazing!

Beautiful hotel, bathroom looked divine with amazing amenities available in there. Possibly one of the most sumptuous breakfast buffets I have seen- including cakes galore & did I see a bucket of ice cream? Looking at the teaser for next time I see you can rock the drone shots also...
