@@GhostBanned369 Spreading a message that many have said has enhanced their experience of life is always going to eventually attract more and more people willing to pay for the opportunity to receive the same benefits. Why should the good he does not receive at least the payment that people get for doing other often less worthwhile things to gain a living-while getting no criticism into the bargain? And yet most other's motivation to work IS for the sake of making money, whereas it's clear Tolle was naturally inclined to spread insights he had gained from personal experience, because when he started it was before the possibility of gaining wealth could have been considered likely.

@@darrylschultz9395 I don't know, he could do it for free, he could certainly do it at a level that is less enriching materially. I think money is always corrupting. Only he knows if he does it for money (even a bit) or with purity of being. You know at one point, George Michael said he'd make music freely since he said he had made enough. A few others have done this, walked the walk so to speak. How much money does one need?

He would know that if he did that, eventually the doubters would have stopped him providing the benefits to the many that have said how his teachings have enabled them to overcome difficulties that had seemed insurmountable-because how could he continue doing it without getting the income we all need to survive? He deserves every dollar he's paid-and then some! Are you doing your work while saying no to any money that's above the amount you need to survive? Gimme a break! P.S. Where's the sign he's been corrupted by his income? I've watched many of his videos, recent and from years ago-and he's the same wise and caring individual in all of them.

The more Eckhart videos I watch, the happy my heart is.

It is so so so so simple, we only like to make it complicated. Balance of being and doing - oh yes. Stress is an indication of being too far on the doing side. It's extremely simple, and extremely deep.

@@daniellerodgers6493 when real, useful, positive energy is being built within yourself, but the affairs which need attention in your life (even the basic ones like eating) are not meeting that energy. the momentum constructed while relaxing into the present moment becomes poisoned when the energy is unused, and again you are stressed and overwhelmed (of course, in this case you aren’t really “being too much,” so much as you are doing something destructive: procrastinating through meditation).

Eckhart seriously deserves the Noble Peace Prize.

Finally learning Again to simply BE in the present moment ! I remember BEING this way as a child playing in the rain ! Or swinging on Grandmother's porch ! Thank YOU for reminding me NOW after 76yrs on this planet ! Blessings !

This man came for me just in time to save me from negative thinking that creeps up on me and related to that , excessive use of alcohol, his words made me realize, there's more to life than my thoughts, which are constantly sabotaging my wellbeing, I don't have to identify with them anymore and look for solutions in alcoholism, bless you, Eckhard 💙

@Al Garnier tests, experiments, theories, scientific opinions AND x-rays couldn't explain why my dog which had been run over and had no hope of surviving one day longer, was running around the next day as if the day before had not happened.. I cannot help believing that there is a lot more going on than scientists and even Eckhart Tolle can explain. One day you can realise a miracle and the next day nothing. I've had mostly unanswered prayers or attempted manifestations. In between, enough happened to keep me believing that this is one helluva fantastic ride that im on. Even science is proving science to be wrong everyday and it will always be the case

Outward movement through creation, and inward movement through pure being, and the unique personal balance between them; Got it! 😄 To add to this, I saw a quote once: „Man can only suffer if he takes seriously what the gods made for fun.“ And we are all god, experiencing itself through different forms. It‘s all a play of forms! I find that absolutely beautiful in its plainness.

The meaning of life is to Love, yourself and all other life. Behind the ego is pure love. Wisdom for what to do for yourself and others comes out of that love. Love is our true identity.

Most beautiful explanation I have come across. Thank you for this. It resonates deeply with everything I am. To put it simply, purpose is to Do, and to Be, anything you want. We are both the form and the formless.

Your death will send you into Idyllic nothingness of separated molecules. Let us hear it, a cheer for our guru for at least today. @@kmm291 If you read his works, or other spiritual teachers, you'll find that death is just the entrance to another phase of life. It's not a loss in that sense but a celebration of having accomplished a phase of the many, many, many lives that we've all had and will continue into the future in whatever different form we choose and to be wherever we choose to be after leaving this realm. Although many live a very long time, our form bodies do not, but our Soul lives forever and in that sense no one actually dies, we just move on to the next phase. For each passing there is another entering, a child is born. That is the circle of life and death.

The calm i experience reading your work is the same calm i experience listening and watching you, may your work continue to touch and influence the lives of others and so forth and so forth

A true pleasure to listen to this wisdom.

I heard what he said. Then I watched my two new kittens play outside in the sunshine for the first time today. They were crazy for life; every moment was the greatest adventure, every pounce, the biggest event! And I knew that the universe loved these moments.

Just did the ascension meditation for April 4, 2020....and it was amazing....i have no words for the experience.....and then wasn't "out" of the meditation yet and then this flowed thru/started..I love Eckhart...I feel he was in a much higher dimension...came to Earth...was so depressed because it wasn't what he was used to...then manifested the gifts he has at articulating spirituality....and all the topics. I hope he's rewarded in this life AND his next lives as he has made a huge difference in so many people's lives...including mine...and my cat.

But "we are the universe" is like saying "you are the concert" to a visitor coming to hear the bands playing. No they're not, they're PART of the concert. Lol, maybe someone can explain better...

@@musicisbrilliant Guess I just take exception to the whole idea of mystifying "the universe" into some conscious entity, rather than a collection of intricate parts and diverse personalities. Saying that "the universe" wants to experience "itself" through us...is that not just taking the God idea and replacing a divine being with the obscure word "universe"? It's like plagiarism of religious philosophy but rewritten to make it more palatable for new age (make a concept vague enough to sound genius). I don't know, just being cynical, this is all new to me lol. Don't want to sound arrogant or dump all over these concepts (especially as I respect Eckhart Tolles other teachings) - only thinking out loud.

Enlightenment makes so much sense when your informed to how vibrations and energy in general works. I use to be so confused now its clear.

Way back , even before Be Here Now, Eckhart has uplifted my very essence. Today's message...combining BEing and Doing radiates deep within. I am smiling from there to my keyboard...so grateful for this beautiful man (and now I see he has a beautiful partner besides him - so happy about that too) this current message makes me smile and tingle. He explains purpose, which is a reason for being, or a what for, only in terms of energy, either being or not being expressive or interactive. Energy is the linear aspect of existence (E = MC^2), the nonlinear aspect is mass (M = E/C^2), in other words geometry or form (guided/constrained energy). If being or not being is the energy aspect of purpose, what is the geometry of purpose? It is the whole of which a thing is being a part. To serve your purpose is to serve the whole of which you are a part.

Becoming entrained for many moments through-out each person's life, is how we should educate the young...Find your flow!! When so many billions are entrained with The One for a sufficient amount of time, we've achieved our purpose!!

The devine purpose is to understand that there's no purpose but the one you create for yourself , for your life

@@CahyaTroy you don't pretend that there's one you create one , the purpose you create for yourself is as valid as a one that presumably would already exist ( we know that we have no predisposed purpose ) , think of it like being a nihilist vs being an existentialist , existence precedes essence not the other way around.

Must read Life has got no purpose and this is the beauty of it. If there was some purpose life would have been mean - just futile. It is not a business, it is a play. In India we have been calling it leela. Leela means a cosmic play… as if God is playing. Energy overflowing, not for some purpose, just enjoying itself; just a small child playing - for what purpose? Running after butterflies, collecting colored stones on the beach, dancing under the sun, running under the trees, collecting flowers - for what purpose? Ask a child. He will look at you as if you are a fool. There is no need for purpose. When you don’t need any purpose you simply celebrate your being. You feel gratitude just that you are, just that you breathe. It is such a blessing that you can breathe, that you are alert, conscious, alive, aflame. Is it not enough? Do you need something to achieve so that you can feel good, so that you can feel valued, so that you can feel life is justified? What more can you achieve than what you are? What more can be added to your life? A meditator needs a nonachieving mind, but a nonachieving mind is possible only if you can be content with purposelessness. Just try to understand the whole cosmic play and be a part in it. Don’t be serious, because a play can never be serious. And even if the play needs you to be serious, be playfully serious, don’t be really serious. Then this very moment becomes rich. Then this very moment you can move into the ultimate. The ultimate is not in the future, it is the present, hidden here and now. So don’t ask about purpose - there is none, and I say it is beautiful that there is none.

First : there's no objective purpose , our existence is the result of the works of physical laws in the last 13,8 Billion years second : there can be a subjective purpose ( the only kind of purpose ) that you create for yourself , if an objective one even existed , the subjective one would still be superior because it's what makes you you, different not the same, it gives you the _illusion_ of freedom. third : Giving yourself a self created purpose is not pretending , because you acknowledge that there's no purpose *BUT* the one you create for yourself, the only true one. Fourth : yes , fine, you can be nihilist all you want, don't impose it on others.

As per Ayurveda, Cosmic Consciousness expresses itself through Cosmic energy which results from the union of Consciousness & Divine Will. The former has the qualities of Being/Witnessing & the latter has the property of Creating. Together they are Totally.

His definition embodied so much that it can be said he defined the purpose of life itself.. His words are not rehearsed or coming from repeating something clever he read from some book but from his direct connection with source (meaning without mind constructions or pre-conceived notions getting in the way/ interfering..) Also perhaps (being in the creative field) the best definition I've ever heard of the ultimate, purest state of being one should hopefully be able to attain to, for embarking on and consequent accomplishment of any creative endeavor.

I went from an outer social butterfly !!... to now...4 years ago when I turned 50 I turned into the opposite inward hermit. I don't want to go back outward...I love to cook , help people, hike , be with my animals...Now I want to ascend !
