Destined to Evolve Our Consciousness

Eckhart discusses the evolution of our collective consciousness and the individual's role in the awakening of awareness, explaining why true social change must be rooted in the realization of who we are beyond the level of form. Subscribe to find greater fulfillment in life: bit.ly/EckhartYT

Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher and author, born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of 29 a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. He devoted the next several years to understanding, integrating, and deepening that transformation. With his international bestsellers, The Power of Now and A New Earth-translated into over 52 languages-he has introduced millions to the joy and freedom of living life in the present moment. The New York Times has described him as “the most popular spiritual author in the United States”, and Watkins Review has named him “the most spiritually influential person in the world.”
Eckhart’s profound, yet simple teachings have helped countless people around the globe experience a state of vibrantly alive inner peace in their daily lives. His teachings focus on awakening consciousness, which transcends ego and discursive thinking, and can be seen as the next step in human evolution. In the awakened state of presence, we discover what Eckhart describes as our essential identity-who we are beneath the surface-and its power for transforming our selves and our world.

    Alan Watts is very similar. In fact, all the best teachers do it. Watts talks a lot about Zen & how it's message cannot be transmitted directly. He says it's like a joke, where you either laugh at the punchline - Which is an involuntary reaction of surprise - or you have to have the joke explained, which does not produce the same result. The surprise of a joke making you laugh is akin to the spontaneous response these teachers seek to generate with any teaching. The Aha! moment.

  • @myfrequencies1912

    @myfrequencies1912

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Billy Boffin The things being taught cannot be taught directly because they cannot be grasped by the mind. As long as we identify solely as the mind & the thoughts within the mind we will only hear nonsense. The point here is not to hang on to & try to process every word, every sentence, as you might do with a lecture on history or science for example. Here, words are signposts which point to deeper truths within yourself which cannot be realised fully on the level of mind. This kind of teaching uses language in a very non-linear fashion. That's why it takes so much time to impart such a seemingly simple concept. & it's not YOU that doesn't like it, it's YOUR MIND, which is categorically NOT you, because it's your mind. More specifically your ego, your egoic identity. You are perhaps becoming aware of it for the first time in your life. Let me be the first to welcome you to reality!

    He explained it amazingly in this one. We're all simply consciousness manifesting as a certain form for a little while, and then falling back to the source. Popping in to experience life briefly, and then popping back out. It really is all too simple, except because of thought it has been complicated greatly. Truthfully all you need to do is enjoy the music while it lasts, and then let everything here go. I do have faith though. I believe as we become more and more aware we can create a 'Heaven on earth', an earth where everyone is awake, and we all flourish. Consciousness is always evolving through us. It never goes backwards and so I really do think there will come a time when the world is enlightened, when the light of awareness is able to shine through unobstructed by thought. We just have to give it time.

    Television is consisted of different shows which show every possible bad outcome to every possible scenario. If TV was more positive I think people would be more positive but as its been programming people for decades, it makes you think and worry about things you'd not necessarily even have thought about, ever, in your lifetime. For instance it's heavily raining now where I am. I'm worrying about floods. I've never experienced being flooded first hand but because of the news reporting several floods, year on year its in my head now that it's a possibility. Grandparents always said the TV was brain washing. It really is, they could probably feel its negative impact when it first came on the scene. As time has past its just become normal but it probably still has the same negative effects on us.

    @Billy Boffin Keep a journal for a few years or make videos & put them on youtube for a while. Go back & revisit your thoughts trapped in time & you will objectively realise the different levels of understanding you are capable of. I was a proud Atheist for many years but my level of understanding , my awareness of the concepts I was grappling with, grew. & eventually I outgrew Atheism. It's not nonsense once you have experienced it. I listened to a talk by a fellow called Bentinho Massaro this afternoon (similar teaching to Eckhart Tolle) & he addressed science & "scientism". He will put it far more succinctly than I could: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ipyg0s2rpLiaaKg.html

    @Billy Boffin You can't follow science while making the claim "there is no God", at best you can say you believe there is no God, but that is just your faith, something you invented. If you really believe in science you can't have biases about anything, not even God, you must be honest and say you don't know.

    Thank you Eckhart Tolle!!! For many reasons, I do thank you, as you have helped me and are always right on time with...you are the Universe, as am I, and we all are, and what you share resonates with and within me. Like something I know, I recognize, but you are better able to express and mirror, reflect, and share this true Divine Universal Consciousness Awareness, knowledge, and experience. Thank you. Greetings and Blessings to you and to all...🙏🕊💫🌎🌟✨❤

    It’s so true- there is a fine balance between accepting who we are and how we choose to live in this life, and being Identified with who we are- which just solidifies ego and further divides us. Awareness of our oneness, our essence, is the key in transcending the 3D nature of separation. Love ❤️

    H2N He didn’t know what ASMR stands for which surprised me. He usually speaks of of topics he’s knowledgeable about. It’s not going below consciousness as he said; it’s focusing on a sound or visual which brings about the brain response some of us feel. Its taught by Eckhart and others that feeling your body energy is a good way to become present and relaxed. That’s what ASMR does.
