This might have been made in the 60’s but it’s still one of the best action movies ever.
R.I.P. Jim Brown. Brilliant movie, brilliant role and a fantastic man.

I wanted Franko to survive. His death was shocking. He was so close to getting out of that hellhole alive. It would have been interesting to hear him talk to Reisman in the final scene after they got back home. Maybe those two could have been on friendlier terms.

Im sure the directors had to tell him to slow it down for the run. Arguably the greatest running back of all time.
if I remember correctly, the main reason Jim Brown got the part was specifically for this scene lol. They needed a man to sprint that quick and he was the best man for the job.

I got it - the gasoline - plus the "Pikrat" (picric acid) - along with the grenade detonations - made it the most explosive part of this war movie as the chateau was blown to bits by 11 or 12 big explosions. The Dirty Dozen had to deal with German MG-42 machine guns during the chateau raid, and regrettably, this would be costly to some of their soldiers.
I remember this
