    Has anybody heard DOUG DILLARD's collaborations with GENE CLARK of THE BYRDS?...Outstanding stuff!!! I'm a 68 year old metal head but i have always like Blue Grass and The Dillards were the best around!!!

    I got to be their driver for a gig they had in my hometown. They were in really no nonsense business mode in the car, one worried I'd make a wrong turn in my OWN town , population 3000. On stage, they were hilarious.

    Thank you for posting! I’ve loved the Dillards since seeing them on the Andy Griffith Show several times. Sometimes I wish I could trade my life of classical piano for being in a bluegrass group.

    I could be wrong but I believe Doug is the only one of the original Dillards that is still alive. I also believe that Maggie Peterson (Charlene Darling) also has passed on.
