Love Bluegrass and love, love, love the Darlings…I mean the Dillards.
Boys are really excited today Mr Darlin
Always enjoyed watching this talent on Andy Griffith show. They were so talented.
They made such dazzlingly pure virtuosity look effortless.
I never get tired of The Dillards! Master pickers, all of them..
Has anybody heard DOUG DILLARD's collaborations with GENE CLARK of THE BYRDS?...Outstanding stuff!!! I'm a 68 year old metal head but i have always like Blue Grass and The Dillards were the best around!!!
Dean Webb (RIP) was a family friend. ❤The Dillards were certainly early pioneers in contemporary acoustic Americana!
Dillards on fiyah!!!🔥🔥👏👏♥
The warmth and joy that fills my heart when I hear this song!!!!
I'm a 58 year old rush the who and Kansas fan also sabbath and this stuff grabbed me about ten years ago and I'm in! Doc Watson to gospel bluegrass and Appalachian stranging it's all very good stuff

Had the honor of attending a Doc Watson concert in Richmond Virginia, many moons ago. He. Was. Amazing. RIP, Doc.
Ireland wants their music back!
Great musicians and great entertainers.
The Darlin Boys!
Hilarious and amazingly talented!
What a fantastic bluegrass group! Thanks so much for posting. (It was great seeing Judy and Jerry, as well.)
These guys were great
Git after that banjo!
Nevermind the low brow hillbilly humor. This kind of music wasn’t respected in those days. Behind the clowning around was a group of accomplished musicians and singers at the top of their game.

This music still doesn’t get the respect it deserves. I only listen to bluegrass. Nothing better!
“Just jump in when ya can sheriff…and hang on….”. If you know this, you are probably old, like me, or watch the reruns.

When talent meant something
I got to be their driver for a gig they had in my hometown. They were in really no nonsense business mode in the car, one worried I'd make a wrong turn in my OWN town , population 3000. On stage, they were hilarious.
Thank you for sharing this!
Good band and harmonies
Thank you for posting! I’ve loved the Dillards since seeing them on the Andy Griffith Show several times. Sometimes I wish I could trade my life of classical piano for being in a bluegrass group.
So talented and handsome. Keep laughing how they were on Andy Griffith..
Thank you. Learn your musical history with a smile.
Missing Brisco and his jug
Great old tune in the key of C

It was the Kentucky Colonels featuring Clarence White and Roland White that played this tune on the Andy Griffith show not the Dillards aka. Darlings .
That was great.
Love forever!

Looks like fun y'all.
Theatrics,awesome
Lot of Dills right there...........
Where's Mitch's pipe?
I could be wrong but I believe Doug is the only one of the original Dillards that is still alive. I also believe that Maggie Peterson (Charlene Darling) also has passed on.
On the Live Almost album, it says, "I'll never marry an old man, I'll tell you the reason why. His lips are all tobacco juice, and he never zips his fly." Maybe the fly being unzipped was forbidden on TV then.

It looks like C, but not open C. The guitar player is using fingerings for G-C-D, capo'ed up to C.
Is that Jerry Van Dyke?
Did the Dillards add the drummer before or after Douglas split with them?
None better.
Where's Charlene?
slam action shotgun made out of pipes
It looks like she keeps pulling away from him.
Is that JVD? Funny bit with the bare feet. But just a quick note to the director, those acts went way too long. Cut them back by about a half. Too late now, but you would have said thanks and you would have been welcome.
Jerry Van Dyke is handsy and cringe with Garland.
