Finally i won this heart
The movie is lovely but I found it terribly depressing. I was expecting a movie about an exciting discovery at the brink of war but it was very gloomy and very much about impending death and uncertainty.
Acotar series??
I have to say, I was slightly disappointed in this film. It’s rare to come across films based on true stories, so I was already quite excited before watching. However.. I feel the main story (discovering something historic while on the cusp of war) got completely lost on all these characters individual storylines, & I felt the director(s) we’re trying to cram as much in as humanly possible in a short space of time. They never really explored the full stories of any of the characters either because of how much they were trying to cram in, so it left a lot to be desired. The ending was super disappointing as well.. it definitely left a lot of unanswered questions. It’s worth a watch on a rainy weekend, but just don’t expect something too mind blowing.

I agree, I struggled to get ahold of any real story or get particularly invested in the events

@@remilia3538 Yes! That’s exactly it. It didn’t have that gripping main storyline. Such a shame though as it genuinely had so much potential.

As an archaeologist, I found it wonderful. It captured the excitement and joy of an excavation and placed it in a wider, human context. What the dig meant to the people around it, what it meant to the people who put it there in the first place, what ties us all together.

@@GrainneMhaol There was barely any information on the archeological dig itself.. so I find it interesting you mention it to be honest. I had to look up & research the story after because I’ve always been interested in archeology & I was disappointed there wasn’t more focus on their findings, & more of the story was based on the individuals lives than it was on their findings through the dig.
