Men are just mean. But what I don't understand is.. why be mean to a woman who loves you? I guess a lot of men want to die single. If my husband asked me if he was the smartest guy in the world? I would say yes, you are. I wouldn't reply him "you're a solid 2." Doesn't matter if he failed all his tests in school, doesn't matter if he invented nothing, doesn't matter if he's searching for his keys while it's in his pocket. If my spouse needs validation, I'm happy to give it. This is called kindness and love. Nobody needs honesty! If I asked if I'm pretty it's not because I don't know how I look. It's not intentional, it's just the way they're wired. Men do not take hints easily. Today she told me all about some guy riding her tail while she was driving, proceeds to fly past her and give her the bird. What she claimed was her IQ which is one. At the time I was busy reading the news on my phone. I let her continue what she was saying. While still reading. When I was done I looked up at her and I said babe; I said that man only showed off his own IQ. You were doing the speed limit which means he was doing well over the speed limit to fly past you. In short I listen to everything my wife has to say and that includes anything she has to say about her health. I listen to what she deals with on a daily basis at her work. Since he works at a convenience store she has plenty to talk about. Furthermore my wife has made plenty of hints to me. I always catch on to her hints. But then again we've been together so long there's no need to play this hunting game or anything. I'm a straightforward blunt type of person. Just like when she wrecked my SUV. Rounded up on top of a boulder and ripped out the engine trying to dislodge it she broke the mounts on the engine. Hinted that day too and caught on quickly.

I had a co-worker literally gasp and exclaim, "No, he didn't!". I had mentioned that my husband had finally gotten glasses after needing them for years and that he would be surprised at how much I had actually aged since we got together. My husband denied this until he actually got the glasses and admitted that yes, I had aged more than he had originally thought. I laughed, it doesn't hurt me, I know how I look, and it ain't like a 20 year old! I actually mentioned to my coworker that my husband and I both want to live in reality. There's nothing wrong with aging, in fact those that get to grow old with someone should count themselves as very blessed.

It’s because he didn’t say it the way she wanted him to. That’s what’s wrong with most women, it’s either the way they want or it’s not good enough. My ex complained that I never called her beautiful despite the fact I called her every other synonym for it all the time every day. But since I never used “beautiful” it was never good enough.
