Had a woman i just met ask me to come over after work. I told that I couldn't because I was going to watch my nephew so my brother could take his wife out for her birthday. I told her i was free pretty much the rest of the week. I explained all of this and thought it was fine. This happened within the first 2 weeks of my employment there. I kid you not, this woman did everything you can imagine to be rude for the next 3 years. I had no idea why she would be rude, because Im not a sociopath. Eventually, after a year, a coworker said that she made it sound like I laughed in her face and cut her down. I couldn't believe it. I located the cell phone i had at that time, showed me texting her a text id sent thanking her and telling her i really would like to do something, and apologizing for any inconvenience. This coworker knew immediately and soon most in the office knew she had lied through her teeth. It didn't take long for her to get called out. She was furious and made the next two years just awful. And maybe it was a girls night in like a sleepover or maybe a picnic and they might be uncomfortable as they want only close friends to be there. And it's especially difficult to ask for permission if they can come if it's last minute. And judging by the video example, the significant other wanted to spend time alone with them so it wouldn't work anyway

This is cuz it shows you are currently employable, similarly having an SO will show you are currently datable. The effect is stronger the more the new sees themselves in the current. It's not how things always work but it is absolutely a pattern of behavior.

As a guy I had to learn this the hard way. Solid life lesson. But for those of you out there who have made bad choices, you can always start making the right ones TODAY.

My first girlfriend in the UK was terrible for this. My Air Force career suffered because she couldn't get with the fact that i had responsibilities to the military first and she came second. A lot of her friends with military boyfriends did the same.

"For some reason I want him more now," is probably the biggest sign you should steer clear. Women that think of you as a trophy in a competition with their friends are going to make you pretty miserable trying to turn you into their friends' idea of the perfect man.

I've been looking forward to this.

I had girls hand themselves over to me on a platter, however I couldn’t tell if we were supposed to hook up or not. Never could figure out if it’s okay to make the first move. They would get frustrated, turned off and block me. You have to be ready when they are or you don’t get another chance.

@rileybrewington9190 Mine would lash out at any minor inconvenience and refuse to ever admit to being wrong, but the main thing was still just being completely unable to functioning without me for even short periods, which basically sucked away my time and hobbies You should try talking first, try to reach a compromise (I did, but she would go back on her word) and if that fails, then take more final action

However, I know that this stupidity became more and more popular in the 2010s. I see this especially in German talk shows. Women's rights activists would be ashamed of the things that are being discussed today. Both on social media and in private life. Normal interaction between men and women must be restored. Otherwise it will be the norm for children to grow up without a father or mother. And that they themselves will be disturbed by their parents' inability to have a relationship. All this bullshit started in the 2010s at least. Maybe it got going in the 00s, but definitely not earlier.
