    @@ximashi8283 i mean 1000 mmr is 50 games if you are pretty good for your rank you have like 55% win rate that means you get 1 more win than loss every 20 games so 50*20 is a 1000 games to increase mmr by 1k if you are just slightly better than average the thing is in 1000 games you will improve faster than your mmr

  • @TwistedScarlett60

    People, especially high mmr players, often forget that above 3k represents only 25% of the player base. 75% of DOTA 2 players are *below 3k mmr*. And in reality, 3k mmr players are actually pretty good and often get a lot right.

  • @Hyperversum3

    @Hyperversum3

    3 жыл бұрын

    True, but at the same time they get a lot of things wrong, just check your average game Pos1&2 on both sides and see if their item builds is actually adapted to the game they are in. Or if the pos4 is actually building the kind of utility required rather than rushing a Scepter on his own. Players above 5k surely understimate what 3k looks like, but many in 3k indeed have less knowledge/mechanical skills than others, holding games down.

  • @TwistedScarlett60

    @TwistedScarlett60

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@Hyperversum3 Of course, 3k isn't exceptional, yet they're still better than the majority of dota 2 players. We're very used to holding dota 2 play to a very, very high standard due to its competitive nature. Even Rank 100 players will happily berate their rank 3000 teammates because they're simply not good enough to keep up. Which is an insane concept considering all of these players are far higher ranked than a 3k player. That rank 3000 teammate might still statistically be in the 1% of dota players, but still gets trashed as someone that doesn't know how to play, lol.

  • @Hyperversum3

    @@TwistedScarlett60 Well, in that sense you are totally correct, I just wanted to highlight that while most players may be in this bracket, the skill level varies a lot between them. This can be said about other levels as well, but it's much less prominent. I have seen, during my climbing out of 3k, extremely competent players that just didn't bothered to rank up apparently, just as much as I have seen players that would require to have a -1k bracket exclusive for them.

    you sound much better than 3k players, then why are you playing with them? And if you are not 3k, then why get so surprised? Repeating bad moves happens in low levels of EVERY game, not only Dota. They dont know what else they could do, simple as that :P Sorry if i sound any aggressive, it just confuses me a lot when people trash talk their own bracket, because by logic you shouldnt be there (bad players also happen on enemy's team so its not a valid excuse in my opinion)

I played with ancient and legend friends of mine and they let me play core and sometimes make me lane against ancient players in mid(I won in laning but lose the latter btw). I used axe in mid against timber saw, I was supposed to play offlane but my meepo teammate were countered by timber which is also in ancient. I win against him in mid and took several solo kills but what defeated us back then was his rotations and their team coordination(it's 5v5 btw)

    In the 3k bracket, the players are soo fearful and playing soo conservatively that we never are able to push t3/hg even if the enemy team has 2 carries dead or whatever the situation is allowing it. meaning all my games come out to a mind boggling 50+minute every single time no matter how well we snowballed. By then my awareness brings down my optimism because of how long I have to sit there not pushing, and I dont necessarily always want to be the team leader on mic telling everyone what to do. I've learned to just play every game for the long run and enjoy it sadly.

    5head video love it :DD what annoys me the most? more like what i'm still confused about after bein stuck at 2k forever as a mid player - jenkins i LOVE a tip that you once gave me to pick heroes that have options, you even recently uploaded a video about it, and it does indeed make the game easier to play. but sometimes i find myself with this problem: how do i diagnose what kind of mid playstyle i need to employ in my current game: active vs passive? because it's 2k, the laning phase sometimes goes very strangely, and a late game comp that's weak early sometimes stomps the laning phase, and vice versa. so sometimes i expect the game to go a certain way based on the heroes picked, and it goes a completely different way - and now i'm stuck with the wrong item build and hero playstyle for the game. (for ex, let's say i've been playing a fighting, active ember spirit with drums/vessel + bkb, in an effort to make a ton of space for my carry to afk farm for 20 minutes and carry us later on, because i've determined that my carry is our win condition and can 1v5 the enemy team with enough farm since he is playing PL and hasn't been counterpicked, for example. but then 20 minutes later i see that he has no farm. so now i'm stuck 30 minutes in with the wrong item build and am unable to transition to a more carry-style ember since i'm lacking a farming item, etc. a comment alone would be fantastic if this question doens't warrant a full video 🙏🥺

    Jenkins my man. Your videos make me want to play DOTA 2. But then I play DOTA 2 and remember why I don't play so much. So many games you think you are doing fine and then at minute 10 or 15 a flaming skeleton or a spirit jumps at you out of nowhere and deals your entire Health worth of damage in less time then a common fly is capable to react to visual stimulus (0.08 seconds for those wondering) and this juts continues to happen throughout the game. The game is bassically lost but it continues to play for another 30 minutes because for some reason the enemy team doesn't push.

    3K player from sea. Most annoying habit from my bracket is that no one tries to understand lost lanes, they will try to win losing lanes, they will gank mid with no smoke in daytime and soak EXP. however the worst is that they can only play with lead if we are losing everyone is jungling and even taking my farm as a carry or mid

    3k here. Watch a lot of replays, videos and streams that have helped a lot in understanding particularly the pace of the game. My largest problem is how static the lanes are. Everyone worships their lane allocation like gospel. Furthermore, apparently winning your lane = getting kills. I spam a lot of underlord and know this isn't true - denying 3/4 of every creep wave and not caring about aggression has won me so many lanes and so many games because of how starved for NW their carry becomes into the midgame

    From my experiences with 3k in NA at the very least, I would say that 3k players are only aggressive on a micro scale. In any given moment they tend to be pretty aggressive, but in terms of macro play they are some of the most passive players you will find. Your typical 3k player has learned that farm good, death bad, and so spends every possible moment farming their own jungle, regardless of the game state.

    Most frustrating and annoying thing that happens at 6k MMR is being a support main and constantly having cores who just say "gg go end" even when the game is easily still winnable, but since I'm a support player and my core just gave up, I am just forced to take an L

    4:25 you can see the offlaner (Mars) is taking AM's jungle, which is the safe farm at the moment, forcing AM to take the top lane farm which is the unsafe farm. Sad to see this happening in the 6k MMR bracket.

    Don‘t forget to take a look at the score ... The 8k mmr Game was just going exceptionally well for him and his team was beating the crap out from the other. That means also that he can likely farm much easier and snowball. So the creep stats and item advantage had to be expected. However, the 6k mmr game was much more difficult. They were at a losing streak and dire was pushing. That been said, his move wasn’t smart at all ...
