i played antimage for the first time recently. i got to say, its pretty fun. i never get to farm in my own jungle, cause its always taken, so i had to farm in enemy jungle 50% of the time. placed the observers in enemy jungle myself, since thats the only space i can find. at least i won the game.

i once have a team that flames me when i begged them to help me deward. not saying to buy sentry, just walk with me as the enemies are aiming for me dewarding. but they just stay farming, all 4 of them.

@@yagoosidol6338 that should be fine just farm at lane if all ur carries farmin jug u make space a bit ( dont die ) . dota is a situational game wardin and dewardin not the only thing u can do in dota. if can do that so , u could have stack , farm at lane ( close to ur carry ) , plant obs . Just deward it after winnin a clean fight will do because your carries also dont wanna risk their life to a no vision area

moj jam you know what always works for me if they bought wards before me and I need them? “Bro can you give me ward please? I need for runes mid” so far it didn’t work only 1 time when they were pretty retarded from the get go, supports bought wards and when I asked they said they need and they put them in side lanes, not even in the spots to see jungle too. They then got jelly and put it on them, like 4 and 5. What a horrible line I had, non stop ganking, no runes, enemy mid was farming my medium camp beside radiant mid

I'm really interested to hear where the idea of mids not ganking comes from. I started playing DotA 2 in 2013 and other would tell me the mid is almost always the role that needed to do the ganking. I would play mid Puck and TA and gank all the time. Now i stopped playing Dota for a number of years and only got back into it a bit recently, but the mid being a ganker is an idea that I still have. So at least that one bad habit i dont have lol.

On dota 1 the midlane hero was always ganking, starting even with the 2' minute rune. Usually ppl picked pudge, sf, mirana, zeus, lina or whatever, get a bottle and ganking over and over again on sidelanes. It could be min 20 and have 35 cs or something like that. At least on the platforms i played😂

sounds like pub picks, in leagues it was more like Viper, SF, Tiny, QoP, Puck (basically mobile heroes that can quickly nuke for >800 by level 7) Only would you ever see cores mid is if they draft a counter pick to the midlane with a core that has an edge in base damage recovery or range and is just better at scoring last hits and denies. Then you'd see DK Brood Huskar Outworld Devourer Necro and sometimes Panda or Sniper (fast attack point animations (can be good if you have low ping)).

@@sirknightdude2587 well yeah, those heroes too. Now that I think more ppl were playing any hero on mid back then. I remember seein a lot of AA, Bane, Ench, ET. Stuff like Topson plays nowadays. And I think it's better that way. I think that as long as you have fun and it works, you can try any build you want, no matter how weird and stupid may be in the eyes of the others. The community is really toxic and sticked to the basic concepts rn. For example if I pick AM mid and go for some MOM basher aghs build, at least 1 person from my team will flame since the very beggining and will find only me responsible for any mistake in the game. Meanwhile, I just wanna have fun and increase my MMR.

well those are good ol days, in dota 2 mid lane actually wants lvl 4 safe to gank mid lane XD

I've been playing since 2011 and I can't think of a time when mid was ever seen as a passive farm lane. Obviously there are some exceptions with greedy mids who want farm, but usually the popular mid heroes are ones that can abuse runes and gank the side lanes when they hit a power spike like QoP or storm.

good to watch it at the morning :D being totally honest, I've this "issues" long behind me.

I find the best way to play and win MMR is to pretend that Carry doesn't exist: If they are good- a mega creep in late-game to use as bait. If they aren't - well it's a 4v5 game anyway.

the cores dont ward is funny for me when i play core my 5 is just holding all the wards and is just at lane not doing anything

Your teammates reflects how you play too. If your rank has shit players then you are one of them. If you are good then you will rank high.

maybe you should have bought the ward then. That's literally why he said that carry should buy the wards because at later stage of the game, you're probably farming by yourself while your 4other teammates fight on the other side of the map. Even if they have the wards, they won't place it anywhere close to you just because they're too far away. If you feel endangered, just buy your own wards. Stop blaming your support on everything.

I felt dumb watching my replays in every rank i have been to. from legend 4 to low immortal. Most ppl don't try to play like pros. Some just try to play at their best abilty, like in a career. I don't have fun in being bad. I seek improvement at everything I do. That's why I play dota and not some other game. If you start at herald or don't try, it's completely fine. If you are trying for couple of 1000s hours and you are still herald. Idk man. Grow a brain.

I might be able to rank up if I can hold +50% winrate for a good amount of games but I just don't play enough. Ppl do retarded stuff in every rank, but some basic concepts should be easy for someone to grasp who is half decent at something like dota

The other day I reinstalled and built a diffusal thinking it could purge buffs on me

One problem I have when I try to shove out the offlane/dangerous farm lane, is often even if i tell my team what i'm doing they will get into a bad 4v5 fight without me and feed, then ping spam me for missing the fight and flame me lol. I've often had to let T1's die to just creeps in order to not get reported for missing the team fight they choose to take without me. It's rough in solo queue.

Years ago, I used to buy wards and send them to my team via the courier, and they'd still be too lazy to ward. Like, what do you want me to do, walk all over the map just to place a ward, and then walk back again while my hard carry is dying in a 1v2?

About failing the lane happens to me all of the time. Sometimes 3 deaths and ur opponents already snowballed. And it took me long to notice that I should juat give up the lane and just not die.

The warding is what I don't understand with cores, observer ward is already free and because of support items 4 and 5 can no longer carry ward because their inventory is full and yet cores still don't want to exert effort to plant observer ward which can definently save a life. #supportlife

That can't be attributed to Jenkins. The fact that the puck decided that this was the strat he was going to go for today without letting anyone know or finding his own pre-made team is him just being stupid. If the puck wanted to try a strat he should've found friends who wouldn't mind. Ain't Jenkins's fault.

2:00, when my carry friends play support, they tend to gobble up all the neutral, all the kill, and saving themselves first instead of sacrificing yourself to save carry. And they dont even try.

there are many bat habbits old players have. for example there was an old-ass dota 1 rule that if you build an item, you should but expensive components first, or components that give health. but these days you need to think every time which components is more efficient to buy frist, for example sometimes its better to buy mkb with blitz knuckles and not demon edge etc

Regarding first point: Imho communication is the key, it would be nice if the carry would just say "I am farming the triangle, please do not steal my farm".

True, a carry could purchase get a ward, but it's not ideal because he could be putting the ward in a spot that the enemy has their sentry at, thus making it an easy de-warding for the enemy. A carry would have to buy a sentry (which costs gold) in addition to a ward to guarantee that the place they are placing the ward isn't already sentried.

im in ancient bracket SEA we usually have a magnus mid that steal triangle farm in a badgame. E.X when i have a spectre game in a losing match up im force to take the hard farm / dangerous farm near unwarded area usually bottom lane that tower got taken because most of the time my magnus is taking the triangle. what should i do in this situation jenkins?

When I was lower rank the problem was no one even bought ward not even the observer so I was mid or carry and buy sentrys the get rid of enemy vision to not die

I actually flame supports now for getting all the wards and just letting it sit in their inventory. Especially when the rune ward is about to run out.

Recently I and Viper fed on our offlane and kept coming. 6 deaths till 10-minute mark. Still won, coz they had trilane (Shadow Shaman, Lion, Sven) and we out lvled them.

the fun part in lower brackets is that. carries dont farm at all. they run around aimlessly. 30mins with 10min items.

Honestly Jenkins, I wish turbo players listened to any one of these strats, I used to not have time for normal games so I put my suffering in turbo mode. In turbo if mid ganks at lvl 6 and gets a double for his safe, safe goes up 1 lvl per hero, you get about 400 gold and mid goes up a level as well. You even use that ult you cant find a use for in mid and put in on cool down, I.e. use it for what it was intended

I do this with bristle back but carry still suck and report me for feeding but I’m creating so much space by forcing 3 heroes to chase me.

My cores wont change lane even my lane is fked up

One thing was wrong. I come from dota 1 and the midlane hero ALWAYS had to be good at ganging and do so as soon as he hits lvl6 usually. Just farming mid might have been a 2007 dota strategy having a silencer and viper farm mid but those days were long gone by the time dota 2 hit

Maybe its silly but in mid lane if carry hard to farm fast n lots its better to gank other line, but if there 1 supp or hardliner stack jungle creep for mid liner its better

The first advice about the farm stealing is so goddam true. I used to play carry and fed up of mostly every single game having my farming patterns broken again and again and again. Even more sad than supports doing that is when offlaners, aggressive offlaners like slardar farming jungles. Just because I am aware of this and pay attention to this, now that I play mostly pos 3 nd 4 my games are much easier just because I respect my carry farm and make space for him.

As an offlane player I cant agree more with your first advice. I see soooo many players playing the offlane bascially as a second carry and not as a space maker and this just ruins games.
