How come whenever people start talking about Christ they start talking like they’re in a Bible translation. “For he is our future!” I’m a Catholic but something about that is so cringe.

This makes total sense. Anxiety and depression is a demon freezing you and stopping from enjoying the gift of life. THE LORD IS GOOD TO THOSE THAT BELIEVE 🙏 ❤❤❤

Sometimes it’s clinical. Sometimes spiritual. Sometimes both. Hard to discern. In any case, we shouldn’t over-spiritualize - but most people have the opposite problem and under-spiritualize. A deliverance prayer only takes a minute.

Exactly! This is one of my greatest weaknesses. As a very sensitive child one of my first feelings was great fear of both my parents. My home, though strictly Catholic and religious, used fear as a form of discipline with expressions of love and affection almost non-existent. Fear, hence, has plagued me throughout my life most likely to the delight of the Devil. My faith is strong though and I have a great devotion to Our Lady! +

Fear was a stronghold for me, brought on by trauma which I had pretty badly from having had childhood cancer at age 3... All glory to God for His grace, mercy, love, goodness and for setting me FREE!!🙌🏻🙏🏻

Granted, she was a mere mortal and incapable of protecting and saving anybody from evil, but when you refer to her as an "idol", it's like you're putting her on the same level as a golden calf. Fear is the opposite of faith. God says throughout the bible, Do Not Fear, I am With You.

SOOO important to remember. Watch for news, rumors, cultural trends, government dictates that have a key purpose of instilling FEAR and the solutions are difficult to grasp, remote and hard to quantify.

There is a reason the phrase, “do not be afraid,” is in the Bible 365 times. Do not be afraid every day of the year.

I learnt this from my Iife experience: 1) you have fear because you have no relationship with God who is the creator, righteous and almighty. The Truth and power is in the the word of God - the Bible. Build your faith thru knowing the word of God and in all things, seek God for His permission and lean on Him to lead you. 2. Never act on Anger - any decision or actions driven by Anger will lead to destruction. The above 2 are the works of the devil and we must not fall into the traps. Jesus Christ, the lamp on your feet, and the light of your path. Talk to Him and let Him be in your daily life. Jesus said " peace i give to you, my peace is not of this world" I pray for those who live in fear and bitterness about life....may God shine His face upon you and grant you peace and blessings ...Amen.

Still go to mass, i know it is not always easy... Go to confession, pray, live good, help others, try to get holy Just saying "yeah i belive in jesus" is not enought. You need to follow him and eat his flesh every sunday.

It's because the opposite of love is not hate, the opposite of love is fear. Love is wholly interested in the good of others, not self interested. But self sacrificing for the good of others. . Fear is totally self focused, concerned about self-preservation.

If more people listened to such wise advice and followed it our world would be a lot better

He's succeeding in that.

Fear, to me, is a forerunner of failure.

I don't fear God. I love him and I know he loves me. I fear my inadequacy and inability to live completely in his image. If I am "punished" by God it is because I fully deserve it. God will only do what is just. I know I sin, but I genuinely repent and try to live a better life. This is the major difference between me and satan, I know I"m powerless against God and will never be perfect, but I am always trying to be closer to him and have no interest in trying to take from him.
