We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. kzread.infoUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.

Maybe you can use your influence with Nemo with an idea that would be really cool… Maybe, adding some telescoping legs built-in to these legs, similar to trekking poles, where you can adjust the level of your table when camping. Very rarely do I find perfectly flat spots to put a table so therefore I have not purchased a table yet because I can use logs or rocks. Just a thought and I think it would take this table to a whole different level.

Having some experience in the injection molding industry I can tell you that the slight discoloration is an inherent problem in molding,it can be mitigated but it requires pre melting of the plastic then mixing then injecting it all while keeping it molten. This requires extra equipment and is more expensive to do. As it's pretty pricey already I'm betting that this is the reason it wasn't done. As far as the visible mold lines, at bit thicker and those would disappear but that adds weight which of course would totally knock it out of the backpacking realm.

Thank-you for chiming in about this. To me, seeing those "flaws" was a sort of confirmation to me that they made a point of minimizing cost and weight while still keeping it structurally sound. If people want it to look prettier, it would be even heavier and more expensive.

Those are also high-stress points in the molding process; if the plastic was clear you'd be able to see the stress lines under a polariscope. These are the weak points, although are they weak enough to cause actual issues over time? Only time will tell.

Hi, Luke. We have had this table for about 2.5-3 years. This table has worked great. The only issue we had was the twisting locking mech has broken on all the poles. I contacted Nemo customer service so I could replace the legs as I have used this for over 75 trips. They sent 4x new poles for free, I sent pics of the issue. Great camping table.

I'd love to hear about a good family tent too for those not going backpacking. I run a AHG troop that camps a lot and most of our families will have at least a momma come out with their girls. When they are older, the girls camp together and the adults share a tent. But when younger, they seem to prefer to tent with their parents.

Same, I try not to be a fanboy of nay brand or company but Nemo and Gregory have never let me down and it frustrates me to see bandwagoning hate for brands because they don't produce "the" ultralight tent or "the" ultralight pack or "the" ultralight pad. People cheer their failures or whatever reason. Competition is good! Options are great.

When I’m not camping, I use these as bed side tables. They’re the perfect size for my small studio apartment & am stoked to have found a dual purpose for them. Great review!

A great after market option would be a set of 4 9inch leg segments that can fit in the same carrying slots ….. that being said instead of spending $150 bucks for something like this I think I could make a table this size using two pieces of wood hinged together, and legs from dowels or threaded barstool, folded down size could be about the same, and while the weight will be a little more, gonna be a lot more sturdy and durable. And let’s be honest…. As he said this isn’t for backpacking , so shaving those ounces is not as important. This is great for what it is, but you can get the same functionality with a little creativity using more budget friendly products

Excellent review! As you were navigating through your finer points, the most important observation I had right of the bat as far as negativity was the height. As an off-roader who works remotely, having a light-weight product like this to use as a desktop for my laptop is critical. Not being able to use this with a high chair poses a challenge, but not enough to rate this product below a 5/5 star. I really adore the fact that it can be used at a low enough height, functional enough to deploy as a tabletop in a 2-3 person tent. All-in-all, my assessment is aligned with yours. Excellent product! TY

I bought this table and camped with it all winter this year. Weight was not an issue because I used a sled. I love this table! A friend and I used this for dining and it worked great. MY con is that I am tall and prefer taller chairs which when watching makes this a bit short. I have been looking for a better solution but I just cut some PVC and slid them over the existing legs to make it taller. It worked, but wish it extended another 6” taller. Overall though, I love it.

Fishermen have some of the very best tents, chairs, camp beds and tables. Getting one in an auction cheap is usually hard, as they are fanatics about their sport, and cagy in auction tactics (as they are hunters). For some reason there is such divide and world apart from ordinary camping, gear reviewers seldom cross over into the fishing scene, perhaps because fishing things are sometimes heavier as loaded in and out of cars. Ice fishing tents can be cool too, but thats even further out into the twilight zone.

Who else gives you a lifetime warranty on a camp table with comparable features?, that has to be worth the extra bucks. Don't know about you but I'm rough on my camp gear, I use it hard and often, wish more of it had a lifetime warranty, I'd gladly pay more. For a take anywhere table, vehicle camps, hiking, packing in, I'd say it's a good deal. YMMV. The molding marks on the top are of little consequence to me, as long as they don't interfere with the flat surface. Nice review Luke👍👍, thanks.

Here is my take on the table and it's price. If you are planning on using it for camping, cookouts in your back yard, etc. This is a good quality table that folds down and packs away nicely. As for price, I look at it as if you need a table this size and are only planning on using it aa few times then don't buy it. It's not worth the money. But, someone like me that will take it camping many times a year, use it in the back yard many times a year for cookouts. Use it as a saw horse, etc. many times a year. Then this is a great price for a product that is well built and very sturdy. It should give many years of use in return. The price at first may be a shocker but it's quality and durability over the many uses will definitely make a person like myself very happy to have purchased it! It's value is in its durability and adaptability. I agree the top could and should look better. It already has a good bit of weight so that takes its use out of backpacking and hiking. So, a little thicker, smooth top would get rid of the not so nice looks. But, like you, I don't mind those things. I prefer functionality over looks every time.

I know this from a pal and it's a damn good table. But for 150 bugs I expect something way lighter and/or more modular, like a 3rd hight option. Nemo is great quality, no question, but again I prefer the Decathlon stuff: it has a similar size, but packed as a roll, so you can strap it to your rucksack way better,it has same weight but for only about 45 bugs. Even if it lasts only about 2-3 years it's much more affordable.

The legs coming out on an angle mean you could make up a small net that you lay out on the base, put the legs through it then into their slots, and once you flip it over slide the net down and it could be an option for an extra storage area / shelf for condiments or stove etc after you've cooked and want a bit more table space. The legs on an angle mean it would only go down so far and then stop. Make the net the optimal size so it only slides down to your preferred spot. Some thin bankline and a bushcrafted netting needle would get you there pretty quickly.

Nemo had top quality gear and it will cost ya which I'm hood with. I'd like to see telescoping legs for a higher stand if needed but I do really like it

Great design from a great company. I have one of their tents and I love it. One thing I just don't get is why more companies to no put screw in pads at the bottom of their legs as it is guaranteed, you will not be on level ground. Give us an adjustment to make the table level so I don't have to hunt for the right size rocks or twigs to level my $150 table.

Just use a damn rock or stick as a shim... If that's too much work for you, maybe you don't belong outdoors and should stay inside, for your own safety.

Just FYI on the mold marks, those are mostly sink marks and can be easily avoided by reducing the rib thickness on the underside, there is also splay because it's glass filled nylon. You get this particularly around the gate where the plastic enters the mold. This can be controlled with molding parameters (mold and barrel temperatures, injection speed, dwell time).

Canadian price is roughly 219.00. Can’t help thinking that some pop out silicone cup holders on the corners would be an asset while using in a tent or vehicular.

I worked in plastics for years. Those cosmetic issues mentioned are basically cost control measures. I'd like to get a closer look at it from a molder point of view.

I think I will just go with the $0 tree stumps for my camp furnishing needs. Each of them is uniquely designed and made with natural material. For $0, you still get lifetime warranty. If you are not satisfied with the products, you are free to replace them whenever you feel like it. Modifying the products also don’t waive the warranty if you are into that. For $0, you just can’t beat tree stumps. I also got a $20 Chinese table that I use once in a while when I can’t find a tree stump. So far it’s held up just fine.

I live in a van and have three table in my vehicle, two of them for long term camping (two weeks normally). My favorite table is a Walmart collapsible one which my Gas One stve rests on. It was less than 20 bucks and has served me well for seven months on the road. The Nemo table is cool but 150 vs 20 bucks...I'll stick with the Walmart brand. Great review though, Luke!
