It’s crazy the acoustic version and the remix will give me different emotions. Respect to Posner, you’re more than just a 1 hit wonder, you’re a legend, and your voice is so soothing. And love for Avicii, such a legend to the edm scene.

The acoustic version is just more upfront the sadness/depression about it but the remix version is trying to hide that with the EDM sound, which I believe makes the remix even more sad/depressing.

What you see in his eyes/smile is someone who has known the lowest of the lows and how it feels to believe you're never going to make it out and then slowely climbing back with alot of effort. All addicts who have gotten well have that look

I remember when Cooler than Me came out, it was back in the MySpace days where artists had their own MySpace pages and I messaged Mike Posner about the song to tell him how much he loved it and he replied with like a simple “thanks for the support!” Or something like that and it meant the world to me to have someone who had actual music produced replied to me like that. Always been a fan of him since then

what i took from this is just how important the feeling of simply mattering is. ive had that feeling before to a much much smaller scale and when you no longer feel like you matter it really is very traumatic. especially as a man you just arent suppose to talk about how you feel and that just makes it spiral to where you just dont care about anything

This dude walked all the way across the United States of America, literally walked, got bit by a rattlesnake in Colorado, had to spend like two weeks in the hospital, got out and finished walking. Beast

I love the fact that something so beautiful came out of that dark moment. Salute to him for his honesty

I love how he is able to fluently describe the story, he has a way of making you truly understand and turns it into something beautiful.

I've been following him from day 1 in his college days. I remember seeing him just traveling playing for people in parks and looking like a hippie. Glad to see him doing great!

He went through so many phase of depression I really admire this guy for all he has been through and came out stronger and better person He is still open minded and humble after all that struggle That is so rare in this generation People like him should be appreciated

I remember when Mike Posner first came out with Don Cannon and DJ Benzi and I was a fan then. He did get real cocky there when blew up, understandably so being that he was just a young buck. I’m glad to see the dude he has grown to be, we’re about the same age and it kinda reminds me of myself and how much I’ve grown since then too. I’m proud of me and proud of you too Mike!

I sense a very gentle soul in Mike posner, it's extremely rare and prescious - hats off to his vulnerability and example to many men out there!

When I first heard “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” I first thought “Wtf happened to this guy”. It made me so depressed but it was a good song. I always wondered what was the story behind it. Glad I finally got to hear it.

Always liked this dude. I have a friend that when he was on his musical come-up, Mike Posner reached out to him to tell him he liked his stuff. Paying forward the lessons Avicii taught him I guess.

Had my fair share of hard times and depression. That song always got me through it. Apprechiate you sharing that pain bro, you aint alone.

I got soba over a year ago and I’ve never felt so alone, i thought giving up drink and drugs would make my life better but it hasn’t if I’m honest but I’d rather be lonely than a mess and being used by people that don’t actually care about me.

This kinda gives me chills bc posner really was one of my guys in such a good time of my youth when I was truly in love with exploring music. He was the kinda guy that if u found someone that liked Him as much as u-y’all became best friends from that

This is a great episode, one of my favorite artists. I really enjoyed watching his walking journey and him reminding himself of what is really important in life and what isn't.

Mike Posner is as humble as they come. Just think about this… the moment when he felt he hit rock bottom, is the same moment that brought him back to the top. That’s powerful. In the words of Dusty Rhodes, “I’ve dined with kings and queens, but I’ve also slept in alleys eating pork and beans.”

I always loved that song, sad song. It felt like an old friend who’d been strong for too long sitting down & finally being honest with himself & me. ❤ look forward to many more years of good music coming from him.

I first found Posner from the "Heartless" video he did back in the day, one of my favorites. Wouldve been great to hear him on Levels. I was lucky enough to host Avicii at my loft in NY shortly before his passing. Broke my heart.

Dang, this is the second interview I’ve seen today (first one being Pauly Shore on Joe Rogan’s Podcast) where they talk about this awful feeling of slowly losing fame after winning for so long. And not because of an addiction making them spiral, but just because. They both continued to work and make art, but something just wasn’t aligned. Glad he was able to come back once the remix took off!
