As a muslim, Ramadaan is our favourite part of the year! Its a time of purification for us and it steels your resolve for the rest of the year. Its bittersweet when it ends and we look forward to it when it starts coming around again.

While this was a shia mosque, most muslims around the world are Sunni. Same basic principles though. Also, the Nation of Islam falls outside of conventional Islam. Malcolm X realised this when he went on Hajj and wrote about it. Reading his letter about that time clarifies it best. But I dont know enough about Nation of Islam to talk about it. ✌️

From Quran and The Bible it's clear that Jesus is in heaven. But when it comes to Mohammed it's unknown what happened to him after death. So if he is in hell whoever believes him and his religion are going to hell...right. Think Muslims...

6:57 just bear in mind that the Nation of Islam is in no way, shape, or form mainstream Islam. I think this is a very critical thing to point out because, I, myself, have spoken with many African Americans in my life and a lot of them think that the Nation and Islam are synonymous. They are NOT. Oh my Lord, let me reiterate, they are NOT. The Nation of Islam is its own thing and has always been so. I'm not sure if you knew of this, but towards the end of Malcom X's life, he accepted mainstream Islam after a trip to Mecca and this is what actually caused the huge rift between him and Elijah Muhammad + Louis Farrakhan. In any case, yeah, I just thought to point that out :)

The nation of Islam is a black supremecist cult. Their doctrine goes against the teachings of Islam. They are not muslim.

This video had more cultural aspects than actual religious aspects. Islam transcends ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status and it is for all! Peace and love ❤️

The class was probably a madressah. After school, there are classes so that the different aspects of islam can be taught. It usually includes learning how to read and understand arabic, towards reciting the quran, memorising quranic surahs, learning prayers, how to bake the mandatory prayers as well, building good character, islamic history and law etc...

Hi beautiful. I been watching your channel for bit while .thank you guys. Actually I’m Muslim Somalian. It stroke me how my brother was keeping repeating wudhu. Eventually we do before we start to pray 5x a day coz one thing for sure we want to be connected to God/AllaH as pure as clean. Secondly kids can go schools at the same time with Slamic teachings.

80-90% of Muslims are Sunni and the pple in this video were Shia but the only difference really was the way he did wudu and we also dont pray on a rock, we can pray anywhere clean and prostrate on any surface (mostly carpet) also our prayers are spread out throughout the day we dont pray them back to back like the midday and afternoon prayer he was doing.

i personally grew up being made fun of for speaking a different language at home, my mom wearing hijab, and especially everything post 9/11 haha. its so important to just learn especially with how the media is known to propagate their own notions! so yeah, just a lot of appreciation to yall.

There’s actually no requirement for Muslims to pray on natural surface. It can be on carpet, rug, plastic, anything so long as it’s clean and hasn’t been stepped on with shoes.

While this is a shia mosque, about 90% of muslims in the world is Sunni. The difference is originally bcoz of politics. Shia believes the first Caliph (leader) after the Prophet’s (PBUH) death shld be his son in law, Ali and nt Abu Bakr, the Prophet’s father in law. We as Sunnis do recognise Ali tho, just that to us he is fourth in line and Abu Bakr is first. Another side note, in Sunni Islam there is 4 major recognised school of thoughts. Its nt the same as Catholic/Christianity/Protestant. We’re ultimately the same in our core beliefs. The diff is just minorities in opinions and views like what if i look at the watch while praying? Etc. Anything major like Alcohol, prayers, fasting are all the same in all schools. And each sch tends to dominate a region. Shafii in South East Asia and east Africa, Hanafi in Central Asia and Europe, Hanbali mainly in Saudi Arabia & Maliki in North Central and West Africa. Just to give abit of knowledge. Christians used to pray bowing on the floor, Jesus peace blessings garden of gethsemone prostarted on the ground, disciples did the same, and moses peace n blessings its documented in the bible he bowed on the ground in prayer. Hi guys, first time on your channel and just wanted to enlighten the sister, as Muslims we can pray anytime as well it's called Sunnah prayer (mostly at home or the mosque before observing one of the 5 designated prayers for the day)and we also have something we call Dhikr (supplications) that you can do anytime so as a Muslim you can call on your maker every second that he has blessed you with. Am not a scholar so in case I didn't articulate myself properly, I believe one of my more knowledgeable brothers or sisters in Islam would enlighten you appropriately by the will of Allah.

Please note that people created sects in Islam which is strictly not allowed, like shias, ahmadiyas etc. Allah called us "Muslims" not Shia or anything

Indeed those who partied their debt and were shias you are not from them in anything, indeed their affair is to God then he will inform them by what they were doing. إن الذين فرقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعا لست منهم في شيء إنما أمرهم الى الله ثم ينبئهم بما كانوا يفعلون Quran 6:159 makes it clear are not in anything with shias
