Too bad so many of them may end up with rare lung and blood diseases years from now from inadequate personal protection.

One of the main reasons I’ve stopped watching several renovation blogs… One of my sons was working for the New York City Fire Department after 9/11 at ground zero. Several of his colleagues have had all types of lung problems, cancers etc because they were oblivious…. If you remember thousands of men and women where looking for bodies/even pieces …walking among the debris. … whilst huge diggers and other equipment moved millions of tons of debris whilst for instance, my son and many more sat in vehicles waiting to be called to a certain place to collect the pieces and remove these to the morgue. These firefighters worked at those places as well as doing their everyday jobs. It was exhausting work. Two of the firefighters in my son’s fire company after several years of suffering from horrific pain have passed away in the last 3 years. SO…having begged in other blogs . …and been ignored….these men and women with young children are making choices that will affect their quality of life just because they don’t like the look or because it’s annoying?! 🙏

@@manita2653Lots of fireMEN where I live have also gotten breast cancer from years and years battling fires, sad. Great point your made. See so many not using any protection.
I had such a knot in my stomach as you guys were working around the open staircase, especially as the dust cloud grew. Fortunately all went well.

Yes! Get something over or around that hole!
You should set up a big fan in one of the windows (at the back of the building),blowing out to remove the dust, and go outside before you take your mask off. 100 yr old dust is not good, bird and bat droppings.

BUR ITS SO DUSTY I CANT SEE IF THE 2 BOYS R USING GOGGLES(the other day they wore them on top of hard hats,) EDD IS 👍 GOOD THO. I suggested LIGHT COVERALS WITH SLEAVES TO KEEP MOULDS AND DUST OFF THEIR STREET CLOTHES THEY WONT TAKE IN THEIR HOMES. 🤩

Ed spoke at length about not annoying the neighbours. There is no where to vent the dust without aiming at another house. Best to get it over fast and dirty.
Hearing you talk about the height in the bedrooms is a little taste of how much can be done. Love seeing it all opened up.👍
I'm glad you are a wise person to think of your health and the ones helping you!!! I saw all that black dust coming down!! Stay safe!!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC DEMOLITION. YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO WORK 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✅✅✅✅ Cannot get enough of your town house build. It’s exciting to watch.
Glad no one rang the fire brigade thinking there was smoke coming from the house 😂😂. Safety, safety… keep protected 😘
I would consider keeping that 2nd fireplace upstairs. It's a nice feature to have in a bedroom and it doesn't look to take away that much space. Plus it's tied in with the roof.
I must say, that was a very intense video to watch. The three of you navigating on a floor with holes and a open stairway with masks covered in suet and a foot of dust surrounding you. 😬🫣 I was so grateful none of you had a catastrophe! What an accomplishment in just two days of demolition. I love that Edd is a visionary, we look at total devastation and he looks at it as sees the beauty that it shall become one day! Great job guys, I’ll see you on the next Vlog.
There’s something very rewarding watching you demolish the place. Loved it Ed. As always your work ethic is amazing. So interesting to see the bones of the building 👍
This will be an epic journey for you.
This is what you call renovation. Well done.
This is quite an accomplishment today. Congratulations on how fast you all are going. So much more light. So much easier to see possibilities for this lovely building. Love ❤️ that it’s being saved. Dust, noise, whatever - I’ll bet your Neighbors will be so appreciative of what gets accomplished her. Good luck 🍀 to all !!!!
It’s amazing how many tiny rooms there were. Now that it’s all opened up you can really see the possibilities. Love demolition!
I'm sure it's uncomfortable, but I'm glad to see that you're all wearing full protective gear..
I'm glad you are safety conscious about yourself and your workers. So important!
We all agree that we are glad you're all wearing protective gear! Yeouch! I think I was coughing just watching the demolition...all that black soot! The neighbor's reaction would be interesting but I'm certain they'll be so appreciative once the renovation is complete! Will this be a new side gig for Bordeaux Life until you find your dream property for your dream chateau to build?

Kudos to you and your wrecking team Ed, plus your wonderful videographer, Anna! Getting more exciting as the hours pass!
Wow what a difference already. Can’t believe how quickly this is going. X
I was wondering who the camera person was today until I heard a wee giggle at one point! 😊 as a person who relishes a good renovation project, I was a bit jealous. This is the messy, dirty part, yet demolition is so satisfying!!! Great job, guys! Thanks for bringing us along!

Oh my. Poor Anna. She got dirty too. She'd have old clothes on and mask, goggles and hard hat. Hope she has work boots on and not pick up a nail in foot. 🪖Anna is a little trooper📷📱💻 AWESOME VIDEO RECORDER!!❤
I love watching Ed and team work, the early days of a project are my favorite ❤ like the last property it’s so satisfying to follow along. Thanks to you guys and to Anna for all the editing/filming and long hours 🥰
Now you know why demolition teams spray a building with water when they’re demolishing it, so try and help keep the dust down to a minimum. Taking a ceiling down is always dirty work. I remember helping my sister and her husband take one of their bedroom ceilings down about 30 years ago, we were so filthy my Mum made us stand outside and hosed us down then made us change into clean work clothes in the garage before letting us in the house for a shower!
@janetpendlebury6808

I doubt they have the water turned on at that place.
So happy all of the safety issues you are diligent with your hard hats, goggles, and mask, respirator . So many do not and that is so stupid. Can’t wait to see what you do with the place.
Anna you were heroic with your videoing, exciting for you both to start this project.
Although I'm a fan of watching things get smashed up as the next person, what about the letters!? Anna must be researching still and I envy her work, which is something I love to do. That said, has she tried matching the name of the woman who signed the letters with the list of cast members on the playbill of Les Misérables as well as the others you found? Thank you so much for taking us along in your facsinating journey of discoveries. 💕💕
What an accomplishment you achieved today. I bet the neighbours will be pleased as that dust was coming out of the front door and the pedestrians were walking on the opposite side of the pavement. The place is looking much better with all the walls taken out and it looks so much brighter and bigger. Well done.
Great work. Thanks for having us along with you
The two guys you have working for you are hard workers.
Wow! Great demo job. This is going to be a great house when your finished.
You and the guys have done a fantastic job Ed. Just to let you know I save your vlogs for when I am having my "WINE 0"CLOCK
After all that dirty work you can really see the layout coming together. Its getting interesting and will be good to see what the roofer says. Best.
A reminder why I don’t want another renovation project. Well done, Edd, Anna & team ❤
Ed, when you removed those two entrance steps upto the front door, did you check to see how far the drainage water level comes up in the street, out front, when there is a major rainstorm? Thomas! The neighbors would know!
The space is so huge now and when you get it done the rooms will look so different. You have a great team.
I could almost taste and smell the dust.
OH MY GOD, 😛 it's getting so messy. Do keep protective gear on. We want to see you all protecting yourselves. Bravo for taking on such a job. You are an inspiration to me 👏😎🫡👍
The three of you are making amazing progress. It's going to be great! All the best.
I know it gets worse before it gets better, but this is a hard job. The transformation will be amazing.
I was a bit struck by the dust. Every thing I saw grow in a Petri dish in my bacteriology and virology class flashed before me. Consider a protective suit next time you decide to rip out a derelict building.
Definitely going to be watching ALL the reno videos, dirty as well as rebuild stuff! Love watching your vision with Anna come to life!🥰👏🏻
What a great project. Starting from scratch and rebuilding should be really interesting
Unbelievable amount of work awaits you!
You should have the living area upstairs and the bedrooms in the basement. So you can live with the beautiful space. You sleep in the bedrooms.
That was completely nasty! Rain of black death. I don't know how you could see anything during all of that. Looks sooooo much better with it all pulled out and tidied up! Great work!😮😊
Aye you mucky pups, I can see you had a fun day and achieved so much, hope a neighbour didn’t have their washing out today 😂😂 Great vlog K🇬🇧❤
Such hard work, but rewarding. Looks better already. I had to giggle a bit when Edd mentioned his phone didn’t recognize his face. This was intense watching, glad you’re all safe.

I laughed out loud when Edd mentioned the phone
Your building has the most unique facade and outside look of all the buildings in your neighborhood I see. The outside almost looks like the way old banks looks here in the USA with those wide horizontal stripes across the building. So much more room in that building than it looked with all the partitions up makes a huge difference with the walls down.
It's wine o'clock Time..lol😂 that was alot of work..❤😊🇨🇦👍
Might be worth thinking about doing the bedrooms downstairs and the living space upstairs with all that roof height.

What a lot of work ,we are all with you ,lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️

Nice bit of demolition there Edd it has opened it right up Does not looks so enclosed now,. I think a nice glass of wine or a beer is needed and well deserved to you all. Loved watching😘😘
Why would you remove the chimneys stacks and breasts? Thought that the fireplace always increases the value of property. On the other hand, with the things are going now, in the next few years it may be the only source of the heat available.
@jamesbaker429

Years gone by the fire was the only source of m heat in the house today it's frowned upon in towns so all electric or gas the way to go ,with modern insulation far less consumption needed as Edd is moving the floor plans around he may decide to put in a new show fireplace in marble where he likes.

Well done Ed on this vlogging approach, brilliant idea and I hope you get a new batch of viewers. Your fab, all of you.
I am wondering if Anna is doing the filming? Hard to believe there was so much soot, it is cleaning up well, I see your vision, Edd, this is just my cup of tea!
That is one dirty job!!! Can't wait to see how this turns out. All the best! Love the music you all are working to. Nice! Looks like the Ghosts of the past and streaming out of the building ... lol The community is so lucky that you all are bringing this property back to life and I know it is going to be awesome!!! Yes this is bad stuff! Don't blame you, get it done and you won't have to deal with it anymore. So excited for you all. Like the roof. All the best.
OMG, that was insane demolition guys. Indeed time for wine o'clock or beer30🤣
Wow! Absolutely amazing work done by the crew!
WOW Edd unbelievable!!!!! 😮😮
Edd, you and your team are such troopers. Bet you are all glad that super-dirty job is done! The place is showing its potential.
Strangely it already looks such a lot better.
It's the only way to get it right, down to the bones and you can see what you're working with.👍
its gonna look awesome - love the way the light pours in on the upper level.
Oh my what a huge amount of work. Team work makes the dream work.❤
So glad you were wearing respirator masks and goggles. Love the music choices during demolitions ❤❤❤I think getting rid of the beam with fungus would be best. Don’t need a fungus amongst us 😂😂😂😂😂Sorry couldn’t resist 😂
Golly! "The roof is in quite good condition," said Anna's eternal optimist. (sorry, I can't resist teasing a little bit)
Nice job on the tear down! Love the snazzy shorts with the red t-shirt. Is that what the well dressed construction worker is wearing this year? How much of the roof needs replacing? At least it isn't a flat roof. Those are a pain in the neck!

I enjoy how you explain everything. What you're about to do, how and why. But the best part is when you get a little sidetracked and you describe your vision of the final result. There's an inflection in your voice and I can just tell that your mind can see the big picture and you can't wait to show us. What have you learned from the letters you found? Suspense!
