I can see how tired Louis and Cyril are after this demo. Well done guys. Making progress😅
I can only imagine how everyone's back must feel after a day of this work.
Impressed with Cyril grabbing large pieces overhead with just one arm!
You have some really good workers in Cyril and Louie you all got alot done today. I bet the neighbors are happy to see this getting done.
How about picking up some plywood sheets while you are at the lumber store to cover the gaping holes in the rotten floor ? Placing your scaffolding would be easier and it certainly would add some safety for your crew!
@kimclarke5018

I said that last week at least they would have a stable surface to put the scaffolding on and not intentionally be trying to kill themselves if the scaffolding goes through that dicey floor.
@CherylSimser

It truly is nerve wracking watching them maneuver around those holes when placing sheets of plywood would be so simple and definitely more safety minded.

Yes!! Such an easy thing to do! Only takes one tired person to accidentally step into the void. No bueno!

Miss Joanne, Then you haven't worked on any construction projects! Stick to a topic you are familiar with .@@joannehill3233
Youth, strength, dedication to the job, you are blessed to have such awesome and remarkable assistants
I don’t know how anyone didn’t fall through that “janky” floor. I would accidentally step back and go through😂. Looking good!
You also get to see the drastic changes in the building, can't believe how much it's changed already.👍
Louie is very much the extrovert and Cyril definitely the introvert. Both strong and together they make a good team with Ed’s lead.
Making the WORLD alittle more beautiful ! Thank You All
These two work so hard and they are such neat workers. Well done Cyril and Louis. They just want to please Edd.
I love watching both Louie and Cyril on this project! Things are moving so fast with them!
Anna, these three must be very entertaining to film, I think you've got a great job. 👍❤
I was tired just watching them work. Then Ed said lunch time and I thought oh my they have the afternoon still to go. Good work Louie and Cyril.❤
Louis was probably looking on his fan mail account Edd 😅 You all have worked hard to get those chimneys and fireplace and all don in safety . Looking good Edd😘Loved watching Edd and Anna😘

Edd,Anna,Louie and Cyril my darlings. Demolition work is hard labor. You guys are doing a great job. Until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🍺🍺🙏🌹❤️🕊😇🇺🇸🌞🌈👍👏
Thank you all very much for making and sharing this 💜 fabulous episode! Be well, stay safe all!❤😊
Amazing!!!!! They guys are working hard, and are strong. Can't wait to see the new roofing, and how the new walls will look. Keep up the good work, guys. Ed and Anna have such wonderful design taste. I'm really looking forward to see how this dwelling transforms.
It's difficult to tell for sure from afar, but it appears that by doubling up the rotten beam with separate stiffeners on each side, but not extending through the middle, you may have concentrated all the bending stress into the unstiffened part of the beam directly under the king post. This isn't a problem right now because the roof is missing, but once the weight of the roof is transferred to the beam, it may overstress the old beam at the center, even if it is completely sound wood at that point. Commonly, there would be steel plates bolted across the gap in the stiffeners. As I said, one can't tell from afar, but ask your engineer friend whether the gap needs to be spanned before putting on the roof. Quite a task y'all have undertaken, bonne chance!
@raymondchatt420
7 ай бұрын
Finally I have someone who is also experienced in construction , The King post should have been tied in by a plate or tongue the beams so they meet in the middle then bolted thru the king post . The thru bolts are not in the correct position to take the weight should have been closer to the ends and 2 more put in to assist in any flexing when the beam takes the weight .

All it needs is a point to point bracing piece no more shaking . If Ed knew how to erect scaffolding correctly he would have dropped the 2 nd horizontal anothe 300mm, attached a walkway then his men would not need to climb or carry heavy loads above their heads ,, thats were experience and standards come into play. @@user-re2fr3yt6b
Great team! Working hard and it shows. You’ve made so much progress already👍👍
louis and cyril are strong hard working great team work
I am amazed at the condition of this property 😮 It makes you wonder how much is going to be saved by the end. However,no one is going to find any faults with the workers and their efforts. Bravo🇨🇦🍺

The only thing saved will be the outside walls, and some floors, other than that, it will be a new build. It will look fabulous once finished. Anna and Edd have a very good eye for design.
Louis was so hardworking on this video, up on the scaffold, crouching, stretching, lifting, and omg he is so fit!
Young, buff, hardworking Frenchmen. We merci!!!
Good morning … Awww The boys make a fantastic team 🙌🫶❤️😁 Another great day had demolishing See you on the next one 😊
Usually in life the hardest and dirtiest jobs reap the most rewards. It's so satisfying watching the progress of this house, and I'm looking forward to the next video!
Hi Ed, saw you taking down the chimney with no eye protection. I hate wearing eye protection ..,I even hate wearing sunglasses but after a recent episode where I needed a hospital visit to address debris in my eye, and infection I am now a convert. After this recent event I bought new goggles and some safety glasses which have a seal around the eyes like goggles but are far more comfortable ….after a while I forget I am wearing them and they don’t fog up. Great to see Cyril back and am enjoying your new project. Stay safe
Anna.......I think the camera work is Important. Filming 3 men getting down and dirty is giving a lot of people so much pleasure. Thanks you're all doing an amazing job. X❤

I like being called a Bordeaux Lifer! Just glad I don,t have to wash all the grit off my body on a daily basis.Anna such a good women, and so so patient ❤❤❤
They make it look so easy. I know for a fact isn't easy, I guess I'm just super distracted by the gorgeous looking French Men.💜
Very good work so far, especially Cyrill and Louie have worked hard and diligently. But Edd is also always full of enthusiasm. I'm so excited to see what it will look like when it's finished at some point.
Louis is looking good
Ed and Anna have an amazing team here. Louis and Cyril are working so hard, you all are! The filming, the editing, and the music makes me smile. This is much better than any Diet Coke advert than I have ever seen. Sans vouloir manquer de respect.
Love your videos. So interesting with people actually creating something as opposed to just laying tables etc. ❤❤
Gosh you're nimble for an ol' bloke, Edd! ❤🇦🇺😉

Great work guys! I was amazed at how the stones just crumbled, that chimney was definitely unsafe. Good call on Edd’s part in the decision to take it down. Now the clean up of the basement! I’m looking forward to the next video, love this project!
You guys are making exceptional progress!
That is one very hard working crew! So enjoyable to watch.
👉 Demo is hard work, however de-construction can be fun when there's a vision. I ♥️ how this antique building is "opening up" even though I can't yet visualize Anna and Edd's goal. It presents a field of possibilities. Are there any proposed floorplans or design elevations to view anywhere ??? 😊
Another great vlog, anna your a great help without you. Im sure we wouldn't get a video twice a week ❤
Oh wow I just admire your approach and also your vision in terms of both restoring and bringing this building back to life It must be so expensive and exhausting xx
The state of that floor scares me! Well done, lads, another great job 👏
“We wanted to make you happy.” I love that.
Wow, that first chimney was so rotton, scary to think if it fell! Louis' legs got such a workout while removing the crumbling stones, bending down around the wood beam to lower stones to Cyril. Then after that, Edd says, go ahead and take out that beam! I had to laugh! A little late, Edd! 😂 Very funny Louis, pretending to be Edd at 28 minutes. Not a bad imitation. You guys looked exhausted!
Don't worry about the comments Louise, we all love to watch you two work. We live vicariously thru your efforts.

Hey, Louis, Cyril is too cute to be called Van Gogh! 🤣🤣 Great work you guys and Anna 🥰
Anna, I love the relaxing music, and I was happy to see the men wearing eye protection and protective hard hats as we call them in the states.
Backbreaking work Louis and Cyril but brilliant job you did.
Yes, a new video!! So lucky is hasn't been raining every day.
You are literally rebuilding this home from top to bottom. It’s wonderful to see the progress of the demolition while you reconstruct as well. I’m glad that you have help. Good luck always!
It is amazing how badly the stone had degraded. Didn't know stone would do that. Yes, you all should wear gloves working in all that rubble. This was a really dirty job today. You all are making lots of progress. These are two great helpers for you Edd! Great guys! That floor looks really dangerous!!! Smart move to open it up and shove the rubble in! lol lol good, we enjoy seeing this work they are doing! Thing about it is that Edd works just as hard and these guys do. Like Louie's humor and he is such a good sport! That chimney looks pretty solid! Look at this property I can hardly wait to see how you all make it beautiful! Wow, that was fast! Good job!!! This has been an amazing video! Thanks for sharing and All the best to you all. Be careful ...

Hats off to Anna, the unsung hero in this journey!
How lucky are Edd and Anna to.have found such diligent, hardworking and HANDSOME. Helpers! Alexandra from Detroit
Very good episode! Thank you! All three have worked hard and accomplished so much! Good going!
It’s amazing that it withstood the earthquake we had recently!
Cyril has hydraulics in his arms. He makes those rocks look like styrofoam.
It is just shocking how rotten the structure of that chimney wall is. We see it fall as crumbling rubble as Louie and Cyril hit the stones and wall with their small sledge hammers.Rotten = Pourrie in French!
Those boys did a great job.
Yes Louis Cyril AND you Ed.. shirts off! 😂 I didn’t want this vid to end! Very enjoyable. Looking forward to the next one 👍🏻
We have just had one death at a chateaux please please cover the floors before we lose someone else love your vlogs and all the pleasure you bring through your channel could not bear the thought of something awful happening ,great days work on the chimneys congrats stay safe Dave&Pat Perth Australia

I was terrified that the chimney-breast was acting as a buttress to the gable wall ... 😲. Great job, you and les garçons!
Great progress Ed and boys.loving the progress so far can’t wait for the next video.
Louis and Cyril, you guys really took down the chimneys in record time. Well done you all.

If you want us to hear the commentary, please turn down the volume of the curtain music. It’s pleasant music but it’s an adjunct, not the main event. Feedback is a gift, I’m told. 😊
And the hardest worker award goes to Cyril! Edd please improve your workers safety. Cyril please use a spine support belt, you are strong but not a machine, and even machines break. Cyril and Louie are excellent workers, protect them at all costs Edd.
Well done Chaps. 2 chimneys in a day. ?! Shower, sumfin to eat, washed down with u couple u beers. Or Wine if you prefer. Comin along nicely. 🤠🥳
So glad you have Louis and Cyril there to help you. That was a big, dirty job. Well done!
Oh jeeze I was waiting for a rock to take out the floor and the scaffolding.
Fab vlog, what a hard days work. Love the humour Louis brings to the table too, he is a mini Edd with his work ethics and That Smile. Could you please let us know Louis Hat business link again. Love to all K🇬🇧❤
What great progress! Having renovated a few homes/rooms in the past my heart longs to be there to help you. Please wear your protection devices as we would all be distressed if anyone is hurt. Anna you do a wonderful job of supervising the boys. (and your video expertise is superb). Love to all. (I miss seeing the kids.)
I love how focused Louis is at checking the vlog comments 🤣
Wonderful! Great job 😊
Please make the floor safer with temporary covering. Hard work great job. 😊
Excellent work guys coming along great 👍
Pretty darn good looking bunch of guys you're with Anna! I like the idea of a Calendar too!
You have a great team also love your attention to safety
Looks like u need to make a chute to slide all the debris into the basement or into the bed of the truck. Would be a lot more efficient. 🇺🇸
Louis & Cyril are Amazing workers 🤗👍🤗👍good job 🤗👍 Anna great filming & editing👍🤗 💐 Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
I knew there was a great reason why you didn’t patch the holes in the flooring!
Oh my goodness how hard you work. That is scary at how this crumbles so quickly. Dangerous I’m sure.
I was worried that the scaffolding with the guys and big stones would go through that floor as its doesn't look very stong. Keep safe, 😮
Louis & Cyril & Ed doing a great job. Love the video
I think my comments are very respectful. Especially when it comes to other peoples lives.
Thanks for the outside shot, that gave perspective to the job.
I wish those old lace curtains were mine ❤️
I love your channel always but this episode is especially fun and enjoyable. The joking puts a smile on my face.💕💕💕💕👍👍👍👍
Bet you all are relieved those chimneys are down, good job guys!
Wow those two are not lollygaggers. Forget the DIY, lol, this is eye candy. 🧡
You have amazing team Ed and Anna love watching your vlogs well done beautiful work xx😊
I love that the lace nets are still hanging! 👌
Awesome work guys. Ed your like a Mountain goat up there on the roof
Well, come on…Cyril ain’t bad himself. How about a calendar, guys. It’d be quite popular😵💫🥰😇 with the proceeds, Ed could invest in plywood to cover the holes in the floor. You know, safety first😊
