I was lucky enough to see them live in 1968. I was in the Navy and my ship was in Boston, three of my black buddies ask me if I wanted to go with them to see the Delfonics, I said yes. The Delfonics were playing at a place called the Sugar Shack and I ended up being one of a very few white folks in the place, it was quite a show, I've never forgotten it!

Oh my gosh, I was little when this first came out; if I'm reading it right, then I was about 4. So I learned to like it years later; it still got played on the radio now and then. Anyway, thank you again, Miss Lizzie; you give me a place where I can escape the world outside for awhile. That's worth so much; God bless you💖🌞😊. And Beary, too😊.

Just to let you know that the 1960's to the late 1970's was the Best Era for R & B Groups. Them, The Chi-Lites, The Stylistics, the Manhattans, Intruders, Dramatics, Floaters, The Spinners. They like The Tavares are also from Philly that has had some amazing Soul Acts. Daryl Hall & John Oates do their version of "Didn't I Blow Your Mind". The Jackson Five also did "their" Version on their Debut Album for Motown in 1970.

I agree Lizz, the songs of the 60's as well as the 70's were fantastic! There are many to choose from. Check out "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye and "I Can Understand It" by New Birth. We partied hard to these and many others.
