He's the customer that asks a question and when he doesn't like or understand the answer gets upset and says you don't know what you're talking about. He then will go through 10 other people eventually getting to the CEO of the company all telling him the same thing. In the end he walks out and says he's going to the competitor company because nobody knows anything

This guy obviously thinks he's smart, but it's factually evident in this reality that he's logically and factually impaired. Possible Dunning-Kruger effect champion, or just your normal everyday moron? It's really not that hard - the "intelligibility of a fact" is a rabbit hole, if two people can effectively communicate then the factuality of a claim can be proven simply by independent observation that it conforms to reality. The assertion that a claim requires an external entity to establish it factually can be unceremoniously rejected as no evidence demonstrates the necessity of an external entity to discern fact from fiction (reality is a closed loop to his metaphysical interpretation). His main trap requires casting metaphysics into the role of interpreting reality, which is typical for Christian apologists, if the facts and reality point in a direction they don't like, it's reality that's wrong, not them. They happily sacrifice the truth on the altar of their beliefs. SMH

This phrase "I'm trying to get to my question" must translate into "Please don't talk to me while I smuggle in things I know are vulnerable to criticism and thus I wish not to be challenged"

It's like Deepak Chopra and Bill O'Reilly had a love child.

I've had a face to face with a presup similar to this fella and sye. Sye and this guy rely on the ability to follow a script and make assertions. If you stop them from being able to assert things, rather you ask questions to make them define their assertion point by point and demonstrate why the assertion should be accepted even tentatively, well they fall apart. Without ever hearing about presuppositional apologetics I simply asked questions when and where something didnt make sense or need clarification and it sent the guy into a fury....just like this fella.

This guy: *Complete word salad with one demonstrably false point* ACA: *points out why single point is flawed* This guy: "Okay you are just not understanding the question."

"You're word a salading us" so good!!!!

All I've got to say (other than holy moly what a git!) is that I dearly love Mandisa! She is one of the most awesome and just basically good people I've ever met.

Guy just makes tons of assertions with nothing to back it up let alone know what he is talking. Explains nothing what a joke.

I was looking for more EF and when I couldn't find it I got sad. When I saw the title of this video "Definition Trap Guy" I thought "Could it be?" and you can imagine my excitement at hearing Darth Dawkins himself begin to speak in that obnoxious tone. I am at peace.

It is almost impossible to have a civil conversation with this guy. Many have tried. You did very well trying to be respectful to a caller, but not letting him get away with his BS. This was classic Darth Dawkins. He can make other presups seem relatively rational.

Love this guy, it's hilarious. I call him "the cutting me off guy" xD

He's operating on an assumed premise that in order for any assertion to be intelligible it must rely on an uncaused independent thing. that premise has not been demonstrated to be true. Grass being green for instance, is dependent upon the properties of light, the properties of the grass and what light it reflects, and the properties of the instrument interpreting the wavelength of light.

He's reading off of a toilet paper. Jordan threw something similar at Matt within first 3 minutes of debate. Obviously he had it memorized. Afterward he actually talked like a normal person for the rest of the debate.

A little knowledge is dangerous, so this guy is harmless.

The intelligibility of facts hinges upon a shared understanding of the language. Facts just are.

What EF means is (as always) "agree with me, agree with me, agree with me so I can get out my "gotcha" argument".

I think this EF guy crossed that line way before the Heathens decided to end it.

"Unconditionally independent" does not make any sense. Imagine something being 'conditionally independent', that would mean that its independence was dependent on some condition and thus that thing just wouldnt be independent but dependent - so in order for something to be independent it already must not have any conditions for its independence, that is implied in the word independence. Every independence is unconditional or it is dependence. Therefore "unconditional independence" is a redundant use of words as was everything else in that word salat this person served us.

The intelligibility of any stated fact is in virtue of people agreeing that it looks like it. Nothing more, nothing less. There's no need for something outside of a universe to agree that something looks like something. When there are discrepancies, that's where we examine why there are such discrepancies, and most of the times it's either mental illness or deep self delusion.

Gotta admire the patience of the hosts. Dealing with that level of arrogance cant be easy.

I guess the obvious question, is if this was true, what would a fact look like if god didn't exist? Because his basic thrust is facts can't exist if god doesn't.
