The DEFINITELY NOT Euphyllia Show Tank

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This video is an update to one of our show tanks. Originally it was our Euphyllia dominated show tank but there are some changes since last you saw it. The main thing is… there are no more Euphyllia in here making it the least Euphyllia dominated Euphyllia show tank ever. This is now a completely Fimbriaphyllia show tank!

Would you have kept torches in this tank?

No... And I can't wait to see what you put in this tank to replace them! My vote is for multi-color hammers, frogspawn, etc...

Hammer corals is why I got into the hobby. Never been a sps fan but added some over the year.

Tank looks gorgeous and I am really digging the flow pattern you have going on, that kind of back-and-forth sweeping flow is awesome and some thing I’ve been trying to mimic in my tank forever. Congratulations..

Hi Than! Excelente video, the look of all those hammers and frogspawn is music to my eyes. Of course torches are necesary to complete the show. But if they can't be together is better that way. Greetings from México!

I planned my latest tank to have a dedicated torch section and hammer/frogspawn section but having more success and growth with the later so will let the torches I have grow but if I add any more it will likely be hammers or frogspawn, love this tank!

I definitely like my LPS Only tank. I have all my torches on an island of its own and the rest is fill will Fimbriaphyllia. Makes keeping up requirements so much easier. Will be attempting to re-scape my 125g next. It's been up for 17 years but this is the 3rd time I re-scaped it - beats a full reset. This time I will removed every soft coral that's in there and make it truly SPS specific. But 125g tanks are really the worst to aquascape for viewing on both sides though since it's way too narrow.

Timor wrasse is a highly underrated fish IMO. I have too many wrasses (especially sand living ones) but maybe I can find room.

Has anyone heard anything about Aquashella this year? I noticed that they haven't updated social media in a while and there still aren't any dates for any 2023 events posted on their website.

Nice video, i had a question about brown yelly disease, how does a Coral survive it in the wild. I Mean it would kill the entire colony…

I’ve heard that keeping the PH above 8 (even over night at preferably 8.3) is a good way to keep the LPS from melting or getting severely infected with brown jelly.
