This is one of those 'full circle' stories--as he was part of your working team and appeared in your videos as well. It's like the day that Steve Jobs died. I passed an Apple Store and someone had put an iPhone on display in the doorway featuring a picture of Steve Jobs (one of the inventors of the iPhone). This really moved me. Steve had come 'full circle'--just like your friend. There is nothing like a good friend--and you were so lucky to have him in your life when you did. wow, i did the same thing with my uncle when he died in 2006, i was only 3 or 4 at the time he died, but my aunt saved a bunch of voicemails on their phone and i would always replay my uncles messages, i wish i did the same with my aunt before she passed away in 2009, i was very close too both of them, sorry for your loss

So sorry Harimen , to lose a good friend is tough , you have good memories of him , cherish that you got to know him, he was your friend that in itself is a gift. RIP Tony God took him early May he be resting in peace.

Hi Harmin. I was aware of your friends passing but didn’t know the circumstances. I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing something that what was probably hard to talk about. Sounds like a great guy. Always hard to lose young friends. RIP Tony.

I got the first phone call with Harmin immediately after we heard the news. It was March 2018. Harmin was in Florida or Georgia at the time, working on video projects, and we couldn’t believe he was gone. He made an impression on our hearts, with a smile and a laugh and an extra measure of hospitality… you are missed indeed Mr Vanelli. You were always talking about heaven and the spiritual places, after lots of pondering, it actually makes sense that he went home a little early. I’m so sorry that you had to make a video about your best friend and his passing. Going back to the crash site is a hard thing to do and I know it from personal experience. One of my good friends also hit a tree but Phil’s car also caught fire and it happened on his birthday less than a quarter mile from his house. Don’t forget the good memories. You can keep his memory alive through the memories.

I just read on the memorial site "After schooling, Tony went on to do woodworking and finish cabinetry" As a woodworker myself, I will make a plaque of him and put it in my workshop next week

I lost friends like that in junior high and high school back a long time ago. I'm sure he's smiling down on you that you visit the site and kept a cool music CD that joined you two. Never easy, especially when you knew them personally whether it's an auto accident, suicide, whatever. Peace be with you, ICL.

and i love that you keep saying stuff like “if you knew him” and “we used to…” because it makes it feel like you’re talking to us like a friend. the spot on the tree where his paint rubbed off looks like a heart. i hope you and all of your friends are able to heal as much as possible. and the clip of y’all talking about his instagram has me crying again aaaaaa

My thoughtsand prayer go out to you Harmin. A loss is something that will stay with you. I lost 3 friends when I was 19 and I'm now 68 and I still miss tbem. May God bless you and just remember him with good thoughts

Sorry for your loss brother & I know that pain all too well. I lost my best friend at the age of 31, and my best friend happened to be my wife. It’s been 14 years and the pain never gets better with time!

I'm sorry for your loss, Harmon. When we're young, we don't appreciate the risks we take with our own lives, only when we get older and gain more wisdom to we think, what if? Most of us survive the early years, a few unfortunate ones do not. But take heart, a long way into the future, you'll be with your best bud again. Take care.

😢Damn Harmin. This is so incredibly sad. It must have been extremely hard for you to do this video. It looks like you guys had a great time together. I have begun to HATE this saying, because it’s so unfortunately true. But-“Only the Good Die Young.” My Dad was also killed in an accident when he was only 22. I was 2 1/2 weeks old. You are doing such a great job of keeping his memory alive. That’s so important, don’t ever stop. You and your friends have my deepest condolences. I will keep Tony in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for sharing with us! Tomorrow will be one month since I lost my friend/co worker! He too was speeding in his personal truck and lost control and hit a tree! I miss him every day! He was the best deputy! He loved his job and loved law enforcement! It’s strange him not being at work when I get there! I’m not sure how or why it happened’ did his car malfunction? One of my best friends, actually more like a brother, was also killed in a horrible car accident. He was a passenger in a car, the driver was going too fast and went off the road in a curve, right into a tree. The driver was paralyzed for the rest of his life and of course my friend died. It really sucks, but it happened, nothing we can do to change it. I'm sorry for your friend, thanks for sharing this with all of us 🙏✌

Well, he said “I liked drifting”, so you know that he liked driving fast and probably thought that he could do that stretch of road with no problem, and he did what many do, he failed in the end. He looked like the type of guy who loved adventure, taking risks, this is what happens sometimes, I feel your hurt, but you have to realize, he left this world, doing what he loved and what was in his soul … and his soul Carrie’s on. I could picture him to be a modern day “Evil Kneivei “, a stunt guy. He was probably going home and trying to do that stretch of road as fast as he could, and he was going to tell you about it … tomorrow, and “tomorrow “ never came. 💐

i’m ranting so just ignore me. i got into a crash at the end of 2020 and have zero memory of it because of meds i was given while being life flighted. my last memory was leaving the gas station then suddenly it’s two days later and i’m in the ICU. the accident report, the 911 call, dispatchers, first responders all thought i wasn’t going to make it. anyone who sees photos of my crash say the same thing. your video reminded me that though my healing fckn sucks, it could be far worse. thank you for reminding me to be glad that i’m still here to support my friends and family. you would think that i, of all people, wouldn’t need a reminder that life can be over in a second & you won’t even know it, but i do. thank you. i really am sorry for your loss and can only somewhat understand losing a loved one to such a violent, unexpected death. i hope you’re doing well man

Sorry for your loss of your friend its heartbreaking. This is a great tribute.I lost my 12 yr old sister in 1966 due to a teenage drunk driver.I still grieve for her ,I was 8 yrs old she was walking on the shoulder of the road and was struck & killed instantly. Things were different then the driver never so much as got a ticket. Thanks for telling the story for those who can't speak.

Hi Harmon, I know how it feels to lose your best friend!!! She died in 1986 from stomach cancer, although she was in a lot of, she still kept me laughing with her great sense of humor!!! When she passed away I cried for days!!! Harmon be encouraged and continue to think about the good times that you and Tony had!!!

I lost my best friend five years ago this past January. We were best friends for 48 years. His brother and i served in same sf unit. I think about him often and miss him terribly, but i now try to remember the good times and that always brings a smile to my face. He was like the brother i never had.
