EX-MARINE Ian Long Murders 12 People at the Borderline Bar & Grill

In late 2018, ex-marine Ian David Long went inside the Borderline Bar and grill in thousand oaks, california and ended up killing 12 people inside before taking his own life.
In this video, I visit the bar and grill, a memorial in a nearby park and one of the victim's graves.
If you have any suggestions for any crime locations, infamous crimes or infamous people you want me to cover, (mostly around WA state as that is where I live but any state is fine) send me a message on facebook or instagram @ infamous crime locations.

If I recall correctly. The very next day one of the largest wildfires began burning close by. And many of those grieving had to evacuate the area. The Woolsey fire killed 3 people, more than 295,000 folks had to evacuate, and burned to the ground just over 1,600 homes and buildings. One of the worst times in California history.

They did a tribute and memorial a couple weeks later for him at the high school football game and many members of his family came. Their strength was amazing to see. So many people devastated by this. Two things. That teacher should have most definitely pressed charges. I can’t believe people actually talked her out of it. Next, who the hell makes fun of a veteran? Not defending this guy but I always thank veterans for their service, if it’s obvious to me that they served (most often they are wearing ball caps that say veteran). Why would you make fun of that? Those poor victims. So sad. Thanks for another great video.

Why were college students making fun of veterans. You would think being in college that they would have some intelligence to know that it is our veterans that have sacrificed so much including their mental well being so that they can carry on with their free little insignificant lives. My condolences to the families of the victims.

Harmin, I find it interesting that in more recent years we see veterans with ptsd carrying out these type of killings, but as far as I am aware there were few if any such murders done by veterans of WWII. Are you aware of such crimes done by veterans of wars decades ago like WWI & WWII? If not, I wonder why the difference?

I would suggest we simply have more and better real time access to news as technology increased to match all aspects of our daily lives. There are similar parallels with people questioning mental health diagnoses insomuch as such figures being exaggerated when in reality we have better diagnostic tools, better access to healthcare, and the merging of the aforementioned with our collective access to the greater world around us.

He also almost killed my older brother when he was a toddler going through flashbacks, when he got older and as the government started realizing about how war affects vets, they started amplifying psychologists and mental health industry. He passed away when I was a teenager. "War is never truly won. Both the victims and the victors lose in one way or another" My condolences and RIP to all. 🥀🥀🌹🥀🥀

Shawn Adler (the security guard) was actually the first victim he was killed right outside the door, the gunman the walked into the man entrance and killed Christina the cashier we don’t know much about the rest but they were shot at close range and died quickly. One other person was shot but survived. Victims were killed all over the venue the entrance, check in, dance floor, bar, bathrooms
