The Day Kate Was Shot | NCIS (Sasha Alexander, Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly)
The NCIS team has been one step behind in every move they make to catch a terrorist, but now they know they are closing in. Frustrated with their progress, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) can't wait any longer for drones and backup. He takes matters into his own hands and, armed only with a shotgun, is able to flush out the suspects. With McGee (Sean Murray), DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), and Kate all on hand, the team goes after their target. After an epic shootout, they find themselves on the roof where a sniper takes a shot at Gibbs. Kate dives in front of the bullet, taking the shot to her protective vest and saving Gibbs' life. Just when they think the coast is clear, one more shot comes blazing through the air...

The scene was a major shock, coldly assassined with no remorse. Made the episode so much stronger and harder.
I lost a piece of my soul the day I saw this.

@@GREGWATSON-lc8cc Kate was my favorite character so yeah I can be upset or do you think you’re some entitled prick who thinks they can decide what people should or shouldn’t enjoy.
I was deeply shocked by this. Only Ziva had the power to fill this gap.
Sad that she left the show. NCIS with Gibs are brilliant ❤🎉
This was the first episode I watched of NCIS. I was shook, I never thought I'd see something like that on prime time network television.
I loved Ziva but Kate will always be first in my heart. This episode left me reeling but later learned that Sasha wanted to leave the show so I understood why they did this plus the death of a main character gave the episode a lot of impact for the future episodes.
Yeah. This is the episode that made my father quit watching.

This scene is the only scene I remember vividly of NCIS
I never notice that Tony already flinches before the shoot happen, until they (Sasha, Michael and Cote) talk about it on the podcast 😂
I like the guy behind Kate was preparing for the bloood spray bedore it happened lol
Never ever I expect she is going to die like that.
Was truly gutted that day
Damn I remember watching this when it first aired….gods I went mad
I remember the shooter's seeing the perspective and when he was pointing at her I was like, "there's no way they'll kill her, she's a main character", but they did, in fact, kill her 😭😭
I am now on season 5e8 of NCIS and I am still watching it even if Kate is no longer on the show.
I've never watched this show. But i did see this scene. We were waiting for WWE Smackdown or RAW to begin and we caught the end of this episode. I got traumatized by it.
I like how before she gets shot you can see Michael weatherly flinch a little like he(the actor) knows he's about to get splashed with something 😂
I was about 10 or 11 when I saw this episode. Holy shit did it shock me
It just happened. I thought it was a good happy ending and surprise!
Ari gets his in the end.
Kate was one of my favorite characters in NCIS too.The first time i watched this episode i thought that she was already died when she got hit with the gun that hit her chest but she were a vest that protected her but then she,Tony and Gibbs was talking then the next thing someone shoots the gun into her head and she died. P.S i just hope that NCIS keep getting more and more seasons because usually series either have 10 or 15 seasons before they end or get cancelled because NCIS now has 21 seasons.
First of all, if you shoot the controls of a military grade drone it does not just drop out of the sky, it most likely just flies straight ahead, so boom goes the town and the whole damn csi crew, not just Kate (which was a bad choice for a death imo anyway). Second, why are all headshots in all series/movies always right in the center? That only happens in one diggit percent chance of all headshot cases.

There is waaaaaaaaay more wrong with this horrible scene, forgot how bad this show was most of the time, and the actress moved on because she wanted more money, they said no, and she went on to co-star in another show Rizzoli and Isles.... oh and apparently she was among the many whom the actor who plays Gibbs was a total asshole to. Apparently he's a diva and a maniac. Had to have helped influence the decision.
Whoever choreographed this has no idea how a body falls after a headshot.
I need to see the full version, please help, thank you

Shocking tv death at the time. Although now I can see Weatherly flinching in anticipation of the blood squib splatter before the shot
3:50 oh no Kate got killed by a sniper
Had he went further to left at DiNozzo’s angle clear shot to his heart so either Gibbs would’ve lost an agent
@WidowOfOfficerDavis388

He would’ve lost an agent regardless so Kate shielded him and gave the ultimate sacrifice
@2:50....they we're lucky remote A.i. was nog available at that time, otherwise Ncis had a very hard time..............
I didn't see that one coming.
BEST TEAM
What makes it worse- the bullet actually hit Gibbs in the scrotum, bit it was deflected by his testicle and then hit kate in the head....
There was very little of this scene that made sense.
I wish that Kate didn’t die in this episode.
That thumbnail is very misleading.

The scene that made me quit watching.
Sasha had to make an exit because first off she wanted more money for her contract but that’s was denied and second she decided it was time then to branch out with her own detective series with Angie Harmon called Rizzoli and Isles! She went on to star on that series for quite some time! Sasha is alive and well and thriving being the daughter in law of famous Italian actress Sophia Loren!

In a article it said Sasha Alexander left NCIS because she couldn't handle the long hours and hard work.Plus in an interview NCIS creator Donald Bellisario explained that Alexander recognized her own limitations and she asked to be let go from her contract. So it doesn't sound like she wanted more money,

Rizzoli & Isles came on years after Sasha leaving the show.
Compared to SWAT (Shemar Moore), this is one h*ll of an unrealistic cop show..
Bet she kicked herself repeatedly for leaving the dhow......
