Simone's Bronze was so wonderful! I am so happy she was able to compete that one last time. I cried when you won your silver and cried when she was able to overcome her twisties. You both are great American champions!

All 6 are American treasures. All 6 medaled in one event or another. They faced down extraordinary circumstances, including (but not limited to) the 1-year postponement, no fans in the stands & Simone's case of the twisties. These 6 are as wonderful to me as the Magnificent 7 back in '96.

What a journey. Of course nobody is mad at you for not sticking a GoPro to your forehead and enjoying the ride. Though that would have been quite a picture, you with a GoPro on your forehead vaulting - that would have made these Olympics true 20's Olympics! 😁 👏👍

Yea that was cute. It is a Japanese thing. I have seen ground crews at the airport waving goodbye to the planes as they pull away from the gate. It was very sweet.

Your honesty about being jealous and grumpy is really awesome, and the fact that you were still laughing through it is even better🥰❤️

What a rollercoaster of emotions! Actually your story is my fav of the olympics. Mykayla - I live on the tiny tropical island of Guam and I've been following your journey since way before 2016. I'm so happy for you - not only making the Olympics, but now an Olympic Silver medalist! Everything at the Olympics that happened was meant to be and you deserve it after your daily hard work all these years and never giving up. You did it!
