I was a freshman at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Same high school that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck went to. I'm 54 now and have still never gotten over the nuclear fear. I think it's ingrained in all us 80s kids.

Same here. Living in West Germany,i was about 13/14 and we had to see it in school, i guess it was 1985. It was traumatizing. We were so scared. Today i'm afraid and worried more than ever... 😔

No need to remake, just re-air this and the movie Threads. They both get the point across that we are even worse “prepared” for a nuclear war now then we were back then.

When I was a little kid, many, many years ago, I lived through the Cuban Missle Crisis. All the adults were certain we were all about to die. However, in school, the teacher would shout, "Flash!" and we were all supposed to get under our little desks to survive the thermonuclear attack. And you think you were scarred for life?

классический фильм. если не ошибаюсь 1982 года. даже современные постапокалептические картины уступают в динамике и правдоподобности❤

This movie supposedly changed Ronald Reagan from nuclear deterrents in space and being pro nuclear weapons at mass for defense. He watched this movie even though his advisors told him not to. After this he started to lessen the amount of nuclear weapons in the US (which I think were around 70.000 at that time).
