Many people who commented here were not born earlier to know about MKO. He was brilliant and generous but not innocent by a long mile. In fact, he was part of the first generation of Nigerian elites to pilfer the nation's coffers through his military connections. PTT contract in 1971 through Muritala ( Minster of Telecom) and then ITT inflated contract earned him $100m (N80 million) in 1975. This led to a massive investigation that saw the NET building set ablaze. The top floors that were affected housed the accounting facilities where most of the records were kept. Highly respected and clearly won the elections, and while I won't rule out foul play, I also believe Karma caught up with him. I'm Yoruba but just keeping it 100.

... late Fela wrote songs about this man yet people glorify him, even named a national holiday after him... what was his contributions to national democracy ? If not to cement his wealth acquisition stance by becoming president. A man fighting for his own agenda.

No rambling or beating about the bush, answered every questions with little or no room for unnecessary further probing.

I'm a trained psychologist, body language reader and physiological changes in body metabolism signals. Looking at the fulani so called CSO to Abdul Salami Abubakar confession at Oputa panel, the truth that Chief M.K.O Abiola was gassed and poisoned is glaring. Yoruba had a very good opportunity to declare Oduduwa republic after that. Their claims that Olusegun Obasanjo choise to replace Abiola as a Yoruba tribal Nigeria president is a show of cowardice. Oodua can never be a free independent nation, they 're now caught in the British/Islamic terrorist WEB as Nigerians forever. Sorry for the exposure

OBSERVATION. The 2nd Republic elections were held in 1979 and not in 1978. Buhari ruled for 1year and barely 8months and not 2yrs(Jan 1, 1984 and August 26, 1985): Although the coup was carried out on 31 December 1983. Buhari's take over was announced on January 1, 1984. Nevertheless, you tried.

Listening to the testimonials, couldn't this be an event of a natural death? Remember his symptoms started with a cough, followed by feeling cold, then hot and sweating. Could he have an underlying health issue and most probably on medication for it? When a vip passes, there will be controversial stories especially finger pointing to culprits. Whatever was the truth, let lessons be learnt from it.

The most sensible comment, my brother. I am a medic (you may be too, though I am not certain) and having watched the videos on how Abacha and MKO died, I am inclined to believe the former probably had an MI (heart attack) while MKO could have suffered a pulmonary embolism. Remember he complained of a swollen leg! Could that have been deep venous thrombosis related? We will never know and whilst the conspiracy theories are juicier to believe and far more entertaining, you get to a point in life where nothing matters, but the truth.
