That can happen only if your work out put exceeds the expectations coupled with how well you could handle people. Read the book titled Moral mazes.
So good to see this very capable woman properly interviewed.
I have watched so many videos with Mellody. She is truly a gem. I have learned so much from her.
I've waited for this interview for a long time and I'm glad it finally happened. Melody is a great inspiration to so many women especially for women in the finance industry. Thank you David for another great episode.
Love Melody!!! So glad to see her being interviewed ❤️

YES!!
Wow what an insightful and inspirational interview! Ms. Hobson's story is absolutely fascinating!
This is great. I have a lot of respect for Ms. Hobson.
I love Ariel. They do things with conviction and go against the heard. Small value. Regarding Mellody, she's just an incredible example for everyone to cheer up and be grateful. Plus she's beautiful which helps. I think it just speaks volumes for her and Jim Rogers to keep running Ariel successfully over so many decades.
She is very impressive. Would like to see her preach her gospel.
Need more woman like this in the world!!!
I’ve never heard of this lady and business but I’m so happy I now know. It’s amazing how By David doing these interviews along with the ones he does for economic club really allowed me to learn more about various companies and how they’re CEOs think
I listened to BSurv this morning awaiting this interview
She's amazing. Thank You, David.
Confirmation of business growth foundational basis for success. Access to contracts and customers is the keep premises for Black owned business success. As she said receivables will provide access to capital!
Wonderful interview, great questions, and Mellody response are a lesson to learn also. Love her so much. Thanks for sharing the interview.
It'll be interesting to see how value performs this decade
What an exceptional woman!
Loved it.
A Smart and beautiful woman. Role model for all
Mellody,as usual did not disappoint. Glad she got her message across in the interview. It’s “Black woman,” not “black female.” A few of the questions were condescending, and cringe worthy.
She said it was “ a tiny firm with AuM of 6mil” in the 90’s 😂😂😂😂 let’s not forget they got left behind during tech boom
This lady's outstanding in her own right. G. Lucas is M. Hobson's husband. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
What good interview

"er" in fact
Damn, she is sick. Fantastic interview with a superb leader and person.
Thanks!
The summit of Mount Everest is the world's most famous halfway point. I think it's because it's so high up.
Rubenstein's questioning is condescending. 17:12 "You married George Lucas, why not just work with nonprofits?" Later, "Have you considered politics? Is government too complicated for what you want to do?" Ms Hobson deserves a better interviewer.

Did you know if lay down in the woods, starfish style, as a man, you can become a smaller version of the Washington Monument.
What part of Africa is your family from? That is what is meant ftom the phrase background. Got in on affirmative action? Good grades. Accomplished Woman. 🙂 Sincerely impressed. So glad to have learned of you today. .
Were you ever homeless? If so, for those that need another chance to get money to get housing (application fees and housing vouchers) and a job to keep it. What opportunities can your corporate affiliations provide formerly upwardly mobile professionals to regain the workforce in the context of the current economy? Our world looks a whole lot less prosperous as compared to it did in the Clinton years... The Warren Buffet economy. Today our economy is staggering like a stroke patient on the way to the Emergency Room. What resources are left are figuratively guided by one who needs abilitative assistance. The economy does not support the midfke class like before Covid. Biden success is left to navigate financial solvency not upward mobility. Black? Stand in line.
(how it did)...middle class

Sustainable minority buisinesses. I have a concept and a skeletal business plan for inner city neighborhoods that help people to eat healthfully and have better health outcomes to reduce diabetes and heart disease. Do you have venture capital opportunities?
Hmmm I don't know.
What are the racial blinders please explain.
