I've met Mr. Rubenstein many times but Mrs. Powell Jacobs only once. Even in our brief exchange, I thought highly of her but didn't know her story until this interview. Good to know she's the real deal. Another great interview Mr. Rubenstein and continued success Laurene.

Turn off the video, erase the name, and listen to this content. You will hear a voice speaking logically, calmly, in entire, unified paragraphs, promoting public service and data-driven administration. If Laurene Powell Jobs had left the Stanford Masters of Business Administration program and become an executive, or an educator, she would've succeeded without looks or money. That is not true of most people who inherit wealth, but in this case, we are lucky to have a responsible, energetic, intelligent individual who will utilize wealth wisely to help others.

Laurene Powell-Jobs I had a theft and have to go to the Ministery of Education and Science to get my diploms somehow back. Perhaps there has to come an colleqium dictum or colleqium doctum for me on person. Don't really know how to 'solve' this 'problem'. The committer of my education ir. Frits Philips has unfortanelly passed away in 2005. Almost 3 months after my fathers death 15 oktober 2005 R.I.P. both of them. I also designed with a plotter The Eindhovense School.

the argument of everyone is an immigrant to this county is a straw man argument. Those who came before us can so legally since at the time there were no boarders. After the boarders were defined and the government was founded over time laws were passed to control the numbers of people and of people coming, producers or takers. I was born here as well as my parents, grand parents, great grand parents all the way back to before the civil war. So, does this make me an immigrant? The only road blocks to immigration are the laws that describe how one it to immigrate here lawfully. Yes, the argument that it is to complicated is true, but none the less it is the law. Don't forget what profession wrote those laws? Lawyers. During my college days, my constitutional law professor made this statement, Lawyers write laws to benefit lawyers. There is big money for immigration lawyers because of the lawyers who wrote the laws.

the argument that any immigrant, whether legal or illegal, is a “taker” is a strawman argument. in fact, when it comes to undocumented immigrants we’re actually the ones who freeload off of them. undocumented immigrants contribute billions upon billions each year to state and federal programs and services they themselves can’t access even though their tax dollars help fund them. almost every undocumented immigrant ends up paying multiple forms of taxes while they’re here (whether directly, indirectly or both), but they aren’t eligible to benefit from many of the programs they help fund. so, in reality, we’re the takers from them.

  • @4275bj

@@nevm7469 Interesting but not at all factual. According to the latest tax records as report by CNBC in 2020 61% of people did not pay any federal taxes and in 2021 59% of all people did not pay federal taxes. So your assertion that illegal aliens pay billions is absurd. A straw man argument by definition is the logical fallacy of distorting an opposing position into an extreme version of itself and then arguing against that extreme version. Check your facts before posting.

literally was going to make this same comment when listening to the truncated version. I found that I was inattentively listening this morning which led me to restart the podcast on my way to work. ( I was listening while getting ready initially) its great that she's job's wife but tech companies are notorious for the token complex n all that. How does Mr Rubenstein glaze over the comment she made when brining up the philanthropy work philanthropic work she does when (American) Thanksgiving just past a week ago. she sounds like a shark. tbh it's not surprising that the wife of the first social startup (the iphone crew) speaks this way. there's an evasiveness and calculated nature to the foot deep, mile wide vernacular she deploys. I wonder if she will do a podcast with a more thorough person like on the Earn Your Leisure podcasts. sounds like every Eric adamsWhen she speaks in front of a crowd I'll call her out for her potatoe vernacular ok I'm done
