The Dark Side of Your Emotional Needs: Mind and Body

Cannibalism and psychosis. I don't generally address these two issues in one video, but here you get both.
Not literally you might be pleased to know! I'll explain why, in a way, the whole Dark Side of Your Emotional Needs series is about cannibalism, and in this installment I'll take a look at the disastrous consequences of when the need to meet the mind/body connection becomes thwarted, with some examples of the amazing mind body intertwinement.
Many of our clients, and sometimes you yourself perhaps, try to meet physical/emotional needs in ways that harm. Understanding this can help us help them.

My ethics/religious beliefs, in such an existential crisis, would drive me to offer myself to be cannibalized. Cost benefit factors would also be a huge consideration.

I might be tempted to make an offering of myeslf in an attempt to die heroic and ward off old age which is no picknick either . I probobly wouldn't feel that way if I were in my twenties or I had kids . As for eating someon to survive I would have no qualms if they had already died of natural causes but otherwise I'm anorexic leaning which at least helps equip me with the will to override that instinct !

If my children were starving to death, and if I died and they ate me, it would keep them alive. I will be happy to die tomorrow. Now, pick the bones out of that one.
