Anytime there is an association between something that is supposed to be happy and a tragedy, it makes it worse. Santa is a happy thing. Creepy.

As a retired professional horticulturist, this guy makes me sick. I cant imagine homeowners knowing they had dead bodies right there within eyesight.

Thank you, Chris. As a Canadian, i found that your research was very well done on this case. These men were all very vulnerable for the most part. Bruce Mc Arthur preyed on them over a number of years with no one having a clue to what he was up to, which is really scary when you come to think of it. Though Canada does not have the death penalty, the worst of the worst will remain in prison for the rest of their lives. A little aside, the couple whose planters were used to hide the remains of these poor men, decided not to move away afterwards. This had been their dream house where they planned to live out their golden years. They decided to stay and bring peace and love back to their home and garden.

Thanks for telling me this story so succinctly and well. I live right near Toronto, and remember hearing the story a lot. But never as well told as you. Chris, you are amazing.

Chris, you told this disturbing and horrendous story accurately and properly. I lived in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) at the time this was happening and when learning of Bruce’s guilt. I honestly thought that I knew exactly what happened from the constant police and news coverage. Surprisingly, Chris just schooled me on aspects I wasn’t aware of. Thank you for bringing this case to light. It still bothers Torontonians that this happened here. It was poorly handled by police for a long time before they took the concerns of the community seriously.
