Jayme Closs Survived the Unthinkable

In a written statement, Jennifer wanted to remind everyone never to take life for granted.
"You never know what tomorrow will bring. Always remember to take the time to tell your loved ones you love them."
Good advice from a family who knows a thing or two about the way life can turn on a dime.
What do you think about family stories like this one? Have you heard of a similar case before?

So scary to think about how one random encounter could cause someone to want to tear apart an innocent family. What a scary world we live in. Thank goodness she made it out.

Tough young woman! I hope she's able to find peace, at some point. Grateful, too, for the older woman who helped her. Frequently, people turn away out of fear, leaving victims on their own.

Yes, tell your loved ones you love them. I lost a son and it torn my heart open. Every night, I tell my 2 sons I love them, 27 and 36 years each. Never forget to say I love you.

I've heard about this one from True Crime Podcasts such as True Crime All the Time and The Generation Why. Glad to know she's safe, and is slowly rebuilding her life now Even better, she's started to dance again, according to her aunt and guardian. Those were very profound and deep, thought-provoking words she wrote in her statement, too.

I grew up in Midwest WI(close to St Paul, MN) When this happened, I lived in SD. Such a sad/horrible story for the family and community. Prayers to her, her family and friends 🙏🏻

We live in madison wisconsin but have a cabin in gordon wisconsin. My dad and i were up deer hunting just before she escaped from her captor. We were on the road within 100 yards of her while driving to and from our cabin. our cabin is within a 3 mile radius of where she was being held, obviously we had no idea but that is so crazy.

I loved the summary of this video, it's so true. Tragic that a girl that young had to find it out like that though. I hope she keeps dancing ❤️

Drove past where her parents house used to be every weekend for a while after their death always gave me an eerie feeling. I remember when this happened I thought no way she would be found alive. Takes one hell of a person to survive that

I'm not going to make the mistake of saying that I'm first again! But I will say this, I love me some football. But I like Sundays more because of true crime recaps. Chris and Amy you're both spectacular. Chris thanks so much for telling the story in such a great way.

That poor girl. I cannot begin to imagine what she went thru. Losing her parents in front of her, the abuse and fear she went thru is a pure nightmare. God bless her. ❤️🙏❤️
