I 1000% agree. it was a amazing and brilliant end to the trilogy. yeah the last movie would of been better if health leadger didn't die because I'm 98% sure that joker would of been the villain again for the 3rd and final movie of trilogy. because at the end of the dark knight he stops joker and almost throws him off building but then catches him with his grapple gun and joker is just hanging there and that's the last u see of him. so he either went to prison or Arkham Asylum. which is crazy if you think about it because if the 3rd movie would of been him breaking out of arkham it would of been awesome and it would be like the batman arkham games but a chris Nolan movie .

Maybe because these two sentences do already give an introduction to the sequel's (The Dark Knight) main conflict. The conflict between chaos and order/meaning. Whereas the Joker does everything in his power to disprove the existence of meaning, Batman inspite of being a broken man fights for a greater cause, the city he loves. His actions don't aim at some form of appreciation or respect. He gives unconditionally - which is why he can become the Dark Knight. In our human experience - I belive - perfect love seems to manifest itself when we give to others willing the good of the other. It is truly unconditional. Unconditionally giving. This is why we might dare to believe that "God is love." (1. John 4:16) A God who became man, lived the perfect - sinless - life, taking all punishment upon himself and dying the most dreadful death one can possibly imagine sothat we might be saved. What more could one give - how could one give more unconditionally? Love is not only what God is like, it is who he is. Love only exists in communion, in relationship. Therefore, God by his very essence must be something like a relationship of love. The love between Father and Son. And since God is beyond our human intellect and reason, love can be what Christian theology calls the Third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit. One in being/essence, three in person. Love is who he is. In Thomas Aquinas' words, God is 'ipsum esse per se subsistens'. Being itself subsisting. The sheer act of being. Love. That is what we see in the first books of the bible to our salvation in Jesus Christ. From the God who gives by creating, from the burning bush which was not consumed by its flames of self-giving love, to Pentecost. Then, "what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on their heads" - the Holy Spirit. God is love. :) If love is the ground of existence, these two sentences (“I never said thank you.” “And you’ll never have to.”) cause goosebumps because they point directly at the very meaning of life. Joker: "You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve." -The Joker Batman: "What where you trying to prove? That deep down everyone is as ugly as you? [...] This city just showed you that it is full of people ready to believe in good." I recommend the clip of their final fight "And Here We Go (Batman vs Joker)" here on KZread. Sums it all up.

Wooooooooowwwwww! I never picked up on that! The last person you see BATMAN on screen with in all three movies is Jim Gordon! Absolutely true! In TDKR, the last time you see BRUCE he is in the presence of Alfred and Selina (both sources of Love) but BATMAN does last speak to Jim Gordon before he takes off in the Bat. I'm going to have to ponder your observation further because it seems very deliberate; definitely not by chance. I love how Nolan doesn't always spell everything out for you...you gotta delve deep for the details because he gives them to you; but you have to connect the dots. But I like your assessment of what is accomplished and it does fit. Nice!

I literally cried at the ending of TDKR, no not in the Alfred confessing in front of the Parents scene, The scene where Batman tell Gordon that the hero can be anyone and flies away, that is the moment where i realized that this trilogy is over, that Batman Begins was one of the greatest films ever made, that TDK changed the history of cinematography, that Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale will die eventually and all we can watch is TDK trilogy to remember them. The visual throwback just cut millions of onions in front of me.

People don't understand the simple truth: Batman levels up each time he defeats a nemesis, indicated by his deep voice. Watch all of Batman Begins: Batman sounds normal throughout most of the movie... until he beats Scarecrow. Then he beats Ra's Al Ghul and his voice at the end is more coarse. At the beginning of The Dark Knight, he has the deep, throat cancer voice because he's been kicking ass on the streets for a couple of years. After defeating the Joker, at the end of the Dark Knight, he becomes even more incoherent with: "You'll be in a padded cell, forever!" It's only natural that at the end of The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce would need to hang his cowl up or else no one would understand what the fuck he's saying.

But there are two theories of that ending. 1st theory is that it was Alfred's imagination because in the first 40 minutes of the movie, he told to Bruce that he imagine coming to a restoran and seeing Bruce sitting in front of him with his wife and 2nd theory is that he was alive. For me, first theory makes more sense, but however that was probably the greatest ending scene I've ever seen.

This Trilogy changed my life as well as saved it. Reason why is because my mom was so excited to see Batman Begins with me, but life happened so she passed away before it was released in June of 2005... I love my mom always as I always it was all thanks to my mom that I love watching Batman when I was growing up, I just wished she lived so can watch this epic batman trilogy with me enjoying the cinematic masterpiece of superhero movies really are. Like Bruce I know what it's like to lose someone you really cared about & how much it hurts, it feels so heart wrenching that you wish you could have done something but you make a vow & promise to the people you lost to make a difference to help others. Seeing Batman Begins literally awe inspired me for how Christian Bale's portrayed his character of Bruce Wayne & what he became; he was an angry man in pain from losing his parents. He overcame his tragedy & turned his fear into his strength through trail & error learning all things about the criminal mind, learning to sharpen his senses, reaching new feats of combat training, techniques of all kinds of mix Martial arts, using his whit & his technology from Fox to help solve the cases, but most importantly he never gives up. Along with the help his friends Rachel Dawes, Jim Gordan, Alfred Pennyworth, Harvey Dent, & Robin John Blake, through out all the 3 movies. Christopher Nolan & his crew of dedicated people renewed batman & worth the lined up of all talented actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard & Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The Dark Knight is & always will be the EPIC middle page of the story of the epic fight between The Batman vs. The Joker, Two Face aka Harvey Dent was a good twist of tragic hero turned villain. The ending left me wondering; just speechless in awe because Batman became the villain in order to keep Gotham from falling in the depths of despair of losing hope all that's good & justice. The Dark Knight Rises is & always will be my favorite movie of all time as well as the best accurate written Batman movie ever made! Wally Pfister did amazing cinematography in all three films but TDKR was his best work. Hans Zimmer made all three scores with extraordinary results along James Howard who did BB with him which made Batman's theme even more impressive yet emotional epic yet powerful! Emma Thomas was the great support to the Nolan Brothers & David Goyer executed & did a amazing job writing the script screenplay for all 3 movies for beginning, a middle & ending! Christopher & Johnathon Nolan knew what they we're doing, they crafted an epic trilogy story of one of most iconic & definitive superhero character ever created through history that Bob Kane & Bill Finger did in 1939. I hold this trilogy close to my heart because it reminded me why I keep my promise to my mom & became my own legend of my own story like Bruce Wayne began as Batman, fallen as a broken man, & then RISES with resolve determined to save everyone he loves as well as the people of Gotham facing against Bane & Talia al Ghul fulfilling Ra's al Ghul's dark dream of destroying the city for his twisted balance of restoring society. Bruce Wayne needed someone in his life that love him as both himself & as Batman which is my favorite Catwomen/Selina Kyle played by Anne Hathaway. Good love story & I'm glad to see that ending with them being together. Me & my girlfriend saw this on the opening marathon night of TDKR on July 19th in IMAX. That experience is something I will never forget as long as I live knowing I had my other half beside me sharing the goosebumps, laughter, tears & emotions along those cheering, clapping & the look of thrilled faces just a big smile on my face that the conclusion of The Dark Knight Trilogy was complete the right way & made sense. I was satisfied building up all the memories I had through 2005, 2008 & 2012 seeing & experiencing this cinematic journey through my own eyes. I never see something this special ever again in a movie theater but I'll hold this to my heart for my mom as dear memory of batman stands for a symbol. Christian Bale performed as the best Batman I've ever seen on a live screen. I'll never forget that & I love watching them on 4K in my own home. I'll always have that to remember! Long Live The Dark Knight Legend! 🦇

Got a whole YT folder dedicated to his music and the different live performances as well as recorded OST for this trilogy. It's a whole separate character in these movies for me - just like the people LOL. Hats off to Nolan for recognizing the genius and bringing him on board but also have to give credit to James Newton Howard. Quickie simplified comment out of Hans's mouth at one of his concerts is that Howard composed for Bruce Wayne character and Hans composed for Batman and the villains. More oversimplification, if it hits you in the feels (Bruce as a boy, Bruce and Rachel's scenes etc.) it was likely JNH. The main TDK theme is the exception and I believe it was either them both or just Hans because he has videos of himself and musicians performing it. Joker's theme, Bane's theme, Hans all the way. Whole thing amazing!

Fun facts: Christian Bale lost his voice 5 times during the production of TDK and TDKR. Heath Ledger directed the clips that were sent to GCN. They broke one IMAX camera while filming the chase scene in TDK. Both caves in Batman Begins and TDKR were built from scratch. Bane's layer too. Jake Gyllenhaal auditioned for the role of Batman, but lost it to Bale. Later Jake's sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal played the role of Rachel Dawes. Other people who auditioned for the role of Batman include: Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger. Christian Bale fell asleep while shooting the scene where Bruce wakes up in Batman Begins, Michael Caine was the one who woke him up. They were originally planning to end the trilogy with a bad note, by letting Bruce stay dead. But J Nolan insisted on bringing him back from the dead. (Lazarus)

"People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy, I can't do that as Bruce Wayne, as a man, im Flesh and blood, I can be ignored I can be destroyed, but, as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting." -Excerpt taken from Batman Begins. By the end of Dark Knight Rises Bruce has achieved this goal, his mission is complete. That is what is what the trilogy was ultimately about, how a man became an idea, a symbol of hope for some and a terrifying warning to those who would seek to prey on the powerless and the innocent.

  • @igorpolyakov4113

The music that plays at the end of Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises is intentional. In both instances, it's playing as Bruce says "Sometimes, people deserve to have their faith rewarded". Everyone at the end of TDKR thought Bruce to be dead, but were slowly reassured with evidence showing that he had survived. Their BELIEF in his survival, that maybe he DIDN'T die, or that they could have done something to help, was "rewarded". And out of all of them, Alfred himself, who was most distraught, and probably believed that Bruce had died, was thankfully relieved to see Bruce happy, alive, and with someone who he loves and who loves him.

@Kai McCook You're confusing the term "rebirth" with "resurrection", according to Bible, Jesus was resurrected, came back to life, he wasn't born again as a baby, like soul moving and stuff, that's what rebirth is about. So TDK trilogy actually parallels with those -ism ideologies (hinduism, buddhism, and whateverism out there), not with the christian religion. No one in the Bible was reborn. There's the Lazarus Pit, that grants Ra's Al Ghul immortality, it's named after Lazarus, the guy in the Bible, who got (again the term) resurrected like Jesus. But the Lazarus Pit is in the Batman comic books, not in Nolan's movies. Christian religion is not about soul moving, rebirth and stuff like that, it's mostly about resurrections, though only in those two cases.

Uh Not sure what to comment here, so here is a recipe for banana bread instead: Ingredients 2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled 1/3 cup melted butter 1 cup of sugar (can easily use 3/4 cup, or drop it down to 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet) 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon baking soda Pinch of salt 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour Method Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes (check at 50 minutes) at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve. (A bread knife helps to make slices that aren't crumbly.

They had made a pact and Bale honored Nolan's wishes. That's a lot of integrity and loyalty when you’re talking $50 M. No one talks about that...but it speaks volumes to me about Bale’s character.
