nah there's a difference between a nerd and a sophisticated person/bookworm types, nerds are more so STEM career oriented, are always wearing thick framed glasses, they don't trim their hair, and they wear ill fitting pants and hoodies, their interest lies in very geeky stuff that aren't great conversation starters unless the other person is a nerd too dark academia more so gives me the impression of a very well-spoken, well dressed, intelligent individual with a stylish hairstyle and glasses, who is more interested in the humanities such as history or English or art, and who you can easily start an interesting conversation with by merely asking what book they are reading (it's not gonna be something weird like hentai or a star wars fan fiction, maybe it would be something fascinating like A Hundred Years of Solitude or Pride and Prejudice) tl;dr think the difference between Timothee Chalamet/Laurie (or the character of Friedrich) in Little Women vs Abed from Community, both have their charm but it's not the same kind of smarts

Nah bro, make it your own. Rock the dreads and pick the parts you like and curate your own style. You don’t need to completely embody the aesthetic, but rather you should take pieces you like from all over and try to blend them into your own unique style. All the best, man.

They're both generally logo less. Just go for less flashy prep stuff and incorporate lighter tones like beige and white more. It's basically light academia combined with preppy.
