Entitlement is the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. It is the feeling that you have the right to do or have what you want without having to work for it. Our proud hearts say we are good, that we should get what we want, and if we don’t, we’re justified in our ingratitude. If we’re uncomfortable or inconvenienced in any way, we complain and we let our discontentment become the focus of our lives. Dr. Denise and Grace discuss how it is important that humility recognizes that God is good and that he gives us what He knows we need, so we have no reason to be ungrateful.
