Often kindness is just people-pleasing in disguise, a form of manipulation. Great video. Attachment is definitely involved in people-pleasing.
Worked in aged care more than 20 years Experienced resentment & burn out, emotionally exhausted Had no time for self care or self compassion I have retired now, learning to look after myself better Learning that I deserve to be kind to myself Learning to prioritise myself ❤

Taking care of my mom with dementia is taking its toll. But the other option also would! I am happy you're learning to care for yourself. The happier and healthier you are (we) the happier and healthier those around us will be.
Omfg, I'm not even through the video and thia is the story of my life at 43....😭 Unglueing myself from these patterns has been one of the hardest things of my life
This video takes generic kindness and exposes its more nuanced and deep aspects. Very timely, much appreciated!
I think i forgot myself already😪⚘️ Thank you.❤🌷

You don't know that yet. Besides, are you a good person if you expect something in return?

My dad has always taught me to kind to everyone, and always call our elders not by their names say Mr Mrs etc,
Been there done that! Highly agreed
Great video on not being a doormat for toxic people, but what has it got to do with Buddhism?
You deserve more subscribers, keep making good videos❤

Thank you, I will
Very true.
Bodhichitta in terms of empathy and kindness are beautiful and indispensable on the path. People pleasing is not kind- it is trying to use manipulation to get a desired reaction from someone. The issue is that people do not really understand what it means to be kind. Kindness does not wear one face as its publicity always shows it as. Kindness has to be balanced with other qualities like truthfulness and wisdom. Being kind in an unblemished way needs to be understood here. And my words here does not really state what unblemished kindness in buddhism looks like in relationships in this world we live in.
No judgement
Kindness is Christ-like though one has to be cautious these days.
Well..with respect the world needs exactly the thing suggested not to be, KIND. It is the KINDNESS that is erased from this world ,replaced by violance..is that what we should all be to keep up with modern times? STOP THE VIOLANCE ! Please DO NOT STOP BEING KIND!!!!!

The video explain that kindness should be used with authenticity, that gives you agency. Avoid being kind in a way that teaches you’re the source of everything, cause that will burnout you and block the development of others.

Title seems misleading again. Where’s the real Buddha teachings ??
people get From me what they give To me , you Act like a normal person , you Get a normal person to talk to you Act like an *hole , you'll Get one back i'm a calm person , but don't mess with the horns !
Have these women agreed to being exploited for this KZread channel? Are you profiting off their image? Perhaps it is a projection on my part, but I strongly feel the hypersteriotyping of women with the image of these amazing sentient beings extremely disturbing. To say this is a Buddhist Principal is one thing, but to take every subject matter the Christian church holds dear and feature the feminine alone is a mistake. Uneducated individuals see these titles, see the feminine and do not watch your content. I don't agree with what you are doing. Namo Buddhaya

@@SammySomai understand my suffering is because of my attachment to these matters. It is quite difficult to say nothing and feel nothing when an underlying message is literally attached to a beautiful message. The dichotomy astounds me.
