@@SourLossSweetLessons this was truly an incredible episode. I wouldn’t say I’m a victim of it cos I went in there seeing the signs from the very first date 🫣🥴 The tide turned for me when I thought: “Imagine being ill-treated by someone you settled for” 😳🤮 Seeing you happily married with someone on the same calibre as you gives me so much hope that there is a man worthy of me, who I am also worthy of.

I used to feel like if I held men's flaws against them in terms of agreeing to date, it meant I was stuck up. I think maybe it stemmed from feeling there was something wrong with me, and wishing people will overlook it. Turns out that's childhood trauma. I also got stalked.

In addition, I didn't really believe in love... Like, not happy peaceful mutual love. So I figured, anything better than what I've got is probably propaganda to get people to buy romance novels and movie tickets, so I may as well take what I can get. Now I think I maybe do believe, at least hypothetically.

@@SourLossSweetLessons if dating down is financial and women should never date down then that means means men have to date down since most people can’t have exactly equal incomes

@@lotusjumpingspider8761 I don’t think you fully listen to the episode because I named multiple things that makes a person equally with you that aren’t financial. I named intelligence, maturity, wellness, Communication skills etc. We all need to find someone that matches our level of ability and all these categories and if you do, you won’t be dating.
