This was an excellent episode. We must be mindful of how the people in our lives are wired when it comes to giving and receiving love, attention, and affection. It's vital to consider that just because certain things are not of priority or importance to us doesn't mean it's that way for others. Also communicating clearly what you can give, receive, prioritize, and have the capacity for is vital for friendships to thrive. I think our generation treats friendships too casually as if they don't require intentionality, work, effort, adjustments, and impact, especially through changes, realities, transitions, and phases of life. This episode was a great reminder and encouragement of how much I have grown to be the friend that I desire, letting go and being let go by others and the continual healing from failure, coveting, idolization, jealousy, insecurity, inadequacy, abandonment, neglect, rejection, etc. that I have experienced in friendships in God through therapy while surrounding myself with friendships that align with where I am going, not who I have been.
Love it, absolutely love it
The most pettiest thing can be.a problem.
❤yes definitely helpful thank you
True
Loved this episode!!!
Came here after your AO interview.
Self accountable was a nice thing to learn. Helps one admit when they are wrong.
This has great insight especially for folks relocating to Atl and D.C.
You literally say some of the same things I say to my clients. I agree that if someone feels that they're a good person, then wouldn't that mean there has to be other good people out there too?
Everything you said about manifesting and alignment is 100% facts!! 💌
Says the man wearing no shirt. Honestly you said it best… LOW VALUE.
Love this episode ❤❤❤❤
Deshauna! Congrats on your podcast! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for this important lesson, I just wish everyone can listen and understand this!!!!
I love this episode! This is so true! You touched on some really great points in this video. We have to take care of ourselves internally and externally. It is so important! <3
I loved this as a 29 year old turning 30 this year 💕
same ! Turning 30 this October and starting masters program at my dream school :)
Thanks for sharing, I feel that you actually sharing what I am going through. Much thanks
When You Said “ You Want Them To Only Smell A Healed Beauty”.. I Felt That!!! 💯💯🤍
Been following you since Miss USA. I’m excited to see more of your speaking engagements (so well spoken) and I’m giddy about this podcast. I wish I could be a speaker too.
I blew it with my dream person 5years ago. Its hard for me to get over him. What should i do?
How did you blow it? Were you mean to him?
I used to feel like if I held men's flaws against them in terms of agreeing to date, it meant I was stuck up. I think maybe it stemmed from feeling there was something wrong with me, and wishing people will overlook it. Turns out that's childhood trauma. I also got stalked.
In addition, I didn't really believe in love... Like, not happy peaceful mutual love. So I figured, anything better than what I've got is probably propaganda to get people to buy romance novels and movie tickets, so I may as well take what I can get. Now I think I maybe do believe, at least hypothetically.
This story was like reliving my own experience. I too, once gave “the nice guy” a chance because he was incredibly smart. Turned out his intelligence couldn’t save him from revealing a slew of misogynist tendencies and massive insecurities. He harassed me for weeks after I broke up with him and eventually, even followed me to a new city. I learned from that relationship that you can’t be with someone who doesn’t have a strong sense of self or self worth. If you’re not in alignment, you’re only setting yourself up for failure. Coincidentally, as soon as I stopped telling myself the man I’d actually always secretly wanted was out of my league, I found my soulmate. We get married next June 🤍
First and foremost, Congratulations on finding your soulmate and your upcoming wedding!!! 🎉 So happy for you! Secondly, I completely understand! We all have been put in positions with people that are wolves and sheeps clothing! Sounds like you were stalked by him too! I know firsthand how horrible that can be! Glad you made it out safe!
Why should men have to date down?
No one should be dating down…….
@@SourLossSweetLessons if dating down is financial and women should never date down then that means means men have to date down since most people can’t have exactly equal incomes
@@lotusjumpingspider8761 I don’t think you fully listen to the episode because I named multiple things that makes a person equally with you that aren’t financial. I named intelligence, maturity, wellness, Communication skills etc. We all need to find someone that matches our level of ability and all these categories and if you do, you won’t be dating.
Most women over value themselves. They bring nothing to the table
Sometimes 🤷🏾♀️ and then there are women who bring everything to the table. Gotta screen them lol
Thank you for being transparent. You are truly helping others!!
You're so welcome sis! 🫶🏾💛
This was a beautiful episode. Thanks you 🤗🤗🤗
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the support hun!
Thank you for tunning in hun!
I resonate with EVERY WORD you said Deshauna. Every single word.
Thanks for the support Babe! I appreciate it!
@@SourLossSweetLessons this was truly an incredible episode. I wouldn’t say I’m a victim of it cos I went in there seeing the signs from the very first date 🫣🥴 The tide turned for me when I thought: “Imagine being ill-treated by someone you settled for” 😳🤮 Seeing you happily married with someone on the same calibre as you gives me so much hope that there is a man worthy of me, who I am also worthy of.
Oh my gosh, it's taken me so long to come to the realization that my anxiety has played a large part of my marriage insecurities! And to your point, I don't have a lot of long term and HEALTHY marriages that have been modeled in my life. But then I think to myself, am I trying to find a perfect couple to model? Do they exist? It's so hard! But so glad that you talked about this!!!! 👍🏻❤️
Loved this episode! Thank you for always being transparent!
Good afternoon from the UK. 😍 I discovered your channel a few days ago & I am completely hooked. You are so lovely to watch & have a lovely presence. I cannot cannot cannot belive the comments people say about the colour of your skin! It's outrageous. You are absolutely stunning, smart & such a caring person. I loved your video about the build-up to winning Miss USA , the heartache of losing your mum, but the strength to keep going, to the donation of money for the mum to buy her daughter a dress for the pagent. ❤ I suffer with self hate......a lot, I'm almost 47yrs old & it seems to get worse. I feel completely incapable sometimes of doing anything great with my life. I feel good things only happen to other people. 🤷♂️crazy I know. But you will be pleased to know I have a 8yr old son who i adore & tell a hundred times a day how beautiful, smart, handsome, & funny he is. You did say its important as your mother done the same with you. My mum is 80 years old & she is fabulous but she never told me any of things. She says it is a generational thing & they never spoke like that. Anyways I'm working on it 😃 I'm going to work my through all of your chats as you are so inspirational and very intelligent Much love Maria ❤
Thank you for sharing this Deshauna❤️ 5:04 is the realization I’m making in my mid 20s. I was ready to throw my whole life away because I kept chasing this “happiness” that I felt I could never reach. But God is helping me learn to be content in everything. It’s really changing my perspective
A lot of women should listen to this!
Great Episode!
"Cultivate optimism"
This is good
Absolutely fabulous❤
Amazing Episode! This was also right time! <3
Thank you for this❤
You are so welcome love! Thank you for your support!
My priorities this year is me, I have learnt to step back, stop putting others first before me.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I actually had a panic attack last night because I felt like I wasn’t “doing anything” even though I am still a hard worker
Oh my gosh I started crying when your father cried
Congrats girlll !!! You look absolutely breathtaking ❤ blessings and blessings upon the two of you 🎉🎉🎉
Dog life are short because they are hybrids
Why did you look like Zendaya when you said "short".
“They make” nobody made the lifespan. It’s called evolution. Dogs were bred from Wolves and their lifespan is approx 15 years.
I think God uses animals to teach us about death. When we're older & family members pass, we have experience and are somewhat prepared.
Lifespan is short because its inhumane to live your life as an accessory....
lol
bc dogs are breed by humans to look pretty not to live long.... if dogs were to evolve naturally and not designed by ppl then probably they would live as long as other spieces
Based on what? Dogs were bred from wolves. Wolves lifespan is the same as most dogs approx 15 years.
