Taylor Hooton spring to mind. He was the anti-anabolics poster child. His cause of death was never attributed to his anabolic use.
What's depressing is that fit, healthy, strong and muscular young men like Joe are comparing themselves to the masses of drug enhanced physiques online and feel like they're not good enough. @@juststuff531 You're welcome! People just don't realise how social media poisons them. I've deleted Reddit from my phone (the only social media I used aside from KZread) in November, experienced no withdrawals like Fomo whatsoever, easier than expected. It also freed up a lot of time. Instagram and Tiktok are notorious for being bad for happiness and they castrate your potential via dopamine hijacking. On the side note, have you heard about Hamza and Iman Gadzhi?
I am a man from Norway, I've always had alot of GymBros and friends growing up who is into fitness, I've lost my best fuckin friend to this shit, and I want to make clear... he died and doctors found him with heart failure and said he probably been in severe panic and pain for long time before collapsed because whole appartment was messed up. - to make clear what i mean it's not the things you see, two days before this he finally outwrestled me of pure strength, he was happy, he was energetic, 6 hours before this happens he even send me message "You down for UFC tonight?!" he was a very popular figure who all loved and ladies fought over, he was 22 and was going to be a real estate agent. He did good in school. He's only problem was "wasn't perfect" Watching he's two year old daughter asking "hvor er pappa?" Over and over in the funeral was the most heartbreaking shit ever. - it means where is dad in English. Joe, you should make longer videos about these topics. Videos like these are so informative. We would definitely watch them no matter how long they are!
People need more realistic expectations for what a real natural looks like, Joe is doing really well with his journey. People need to stop comparing themselves to fake nattys. Look at a natty lifter with 10+ years experience and compare yourself to that or a Eugene Sandow or a 1940s era bodybuilder who isn't on juice.
Very very very important video Joe. I salute you for speaking up on this issue bc I‘m very sure a huge amount of your viewers deal with struggling to put ok weight, struggling to impress themselves in front of the mirror and also struggling with being faced on a daily basis with those unrealistic „norms“ on social media. These people need role models like you who show the incredibly important other side of the anabolic-steroid-use. Very important message!

@@Meowblivion Eat a high protein, slightly-less-than maintenance level calorie diet and that should do the magic. That way you contantly lose weight meanwhile getting muscle. And with each gramm of muscle you gain your passive calorie burning gets bigger and bigger. Protein also helps with controlling hunger. Fibers can also help (so whole-grain food, lentils etc. instead of white bread, pasta and white rice and with protein-rich food like meat, eggs etc. - that way you should feel your body way more full for a longer time after eating).

Recently I've gone down into a rabbit hole in regards to steroids, body dysmorphia and body building. Reason being because of people I've dated who have a skewed idea on the ideal male body type. And just how vain they really were. Was with an army veteran who had complete body dysmorphia. We were on and off for a year. He would get in really good shape then drop off and go back to his dad bod which I preferered. He would show me pics of showmen bodybuilders and work towards that and it turned me off but I was supportive. His dysmorphia rubbed off on me for a bit but i snapped out of that. Months after started dating another whos currently in the army. Honestly had no idea he was juicing because he was so bulky rather than lean and shredded. I couldnt tell till I noticed little habits here and there among personal things. He also would workout twice a day, weigh his food, barely any quality time cause he was tired. Nothing sustainable for a long term relationship. Im done with these vain narcissists who cant find a balance. Not only that but I do feel bad for men who struggle with this its the equivalent to women getting plastic surgery. Just with worse short/long term effects.
