Global warming is a natural occurring process... by the disconnect with humanity from nature is obviously contributing to the process... but even so ....I a small way... by destroying our rainforest and and by killing off our coral reef and spraying heavy metal and other harmful pollutants in the air as well all the harmful emfs and lmfs it is Heating up the planet much more then average... but still not as much as they project.... last but certainly not least... someone who has dedicated their lives work to compassion and unity... and embody their teaching... could never b bought and paid for... long live Tenzin Gyotso Chenrizig... He said it: our journey into this earth is to find inner peace, only then can we all do the right thing and learn to live together. Everything is achievable if we so desire it.

I was lucky to meet His Holiness once in London. So happy to see him still looking well and giving us the same essential message of compassion. May he live long and continue to inspire us.

I am glad she did not interrupt him like others have done.

87 years old now. I wish him continued good health and longevity, with Love. ❤

@@Gerryjournal yes, a good observation. This is the problem with Buddhism, it encourages a monastic life, but that’s not sustainable- if we (everyone) took this path who would feed us?

Many years ago I was lucky enough to attend a seminar with a monk who spent 46years up a mountain alone living off the land where he could grow food. When I attended the seminar ,we all sat quietly waiting. When he entered he took a silence and calmness with him you would never normally experience. He was 86 years old and had not one wrinkle on his face or hands. He told us that after 46years he was told that it was time to go down the mountain and share what he had learned. He actually told short stories. One in particular I understood ,it was about a forest and I was on the outskirt. Each lesson you went a bit further until you get to the centre,then it's time to come out and spread what you had learned on the journey into the forest. To teach. There was more to the story. You know,I never remembered any of the others. It was like various people found their message in one of the stories. I spent many years being taught by the spirit world and over 20 yes teaching and creating the conditions for others to receive the teaching for the spirit world. Now I am privileged to be able to see spirit,hear them and sense them. In fact They have allowed me beautiful experiences and gifts one of which tiny amber stones fell out of the air. I've had them many years now,just as a solid reminder that we do continue to live on after this earthly body is done with. We then have a spirit body for a while just like our earthly one for as long as we need it. The Dali Llama is a highly evolved soul,and surrounded by light.

Thank you Dalai Lama, you truly are a magnificent shining light in an ever darkening world. One can enter a place that has never known light and soon become part of the darkness - another can enter this space with a penny candle and instantly end a part of the darkness to show the way out and to reveal its hidden treasures. Yet with all our technological progress, nothing other than LIGHT can ever eliminate the light or turn the light into darkness. When the light within is awakened anything is possible and all poisons can be changed into medicine.

I have been fortunate to be in his Holiness presence twice. Truely knows humanity and it's downfalls. Nameste🙏👏

He is my favorite person in the world. I am so worried about the Chinese government intending to pick their own Dalai Lama to usurp control of Tibetan Buddhism... I went to Dharamsala just to see His Holiness's stomping grounds... I was a student at Emory University and was so happy to get a glimpse of His Holiness when he came to visit in person back in, 2008 I think. I used to visit the Drepung Loseling monastery in Atlanta... I still treasure the out-of-print books I purchased in their book shop. I really liked his comment about cultivating inner peace on a daily basis... His forgiveness of the historical violence suggested by his comment on his surprising interaction with Mao Zedong, and his comment on the inner peace of Tibetans seeping into the Chinese psyche... So impressive and interesting. Thank you so much for this interview.

So basically he just said there in the beginning that a nuclear bomb cannot change the world, but we can do some things to make it better. So what we are seeing as global warming is a natural phenomena. It was going to occur whether we existed or not. Some are using this phenomena to their advantage. “Never let a good crisis go to waste”

It might be partly a natural occurance, but we have played our hand on it for sure. We were not happy living on the land like aborigonals and other people that knew how to live more naturally. We pushed milions of species to extinction, caused too much polution, just look at what plastic is doing în the waters and so on. The good thing is Earth will not perish, there will come into existence new creations. But we as a species might not be around. Who knows...

Just being in the same room with the Dali Lama would be soul healing, his energy is so pure. He looks well and pray he stays that way.

This simple man has changed my life

By whatever small merit I may have garnered by practicing this Prayer of Excellent Conduct, may the meritorious aspirations of sentient beings all be accomplished in the space of one instant.

No regrets. Years before my father passed I told him how fortunate I am that I have lived my life with morality, ethics, and the values I was born with. He congratulated me but he truly did not understand what I was teaching him. He died with many regrets as an abusive man, father, and husband. I don’t wish that people Rest In Peace, I wish for them more learning in the afterlife. So be it and so it is.

That aside, there are some truisms in the many versions of the spiritually based written word. Depending on the meaning of “dead”, your quote may or may not apply. Those dead to the physical are 100% spirit. Happy travels day trader. 😀
