Dinesh Lama Buddha never lies and if he utter and statements it never changes. It can't be changed due to time since Buddha went beyond the time. ( not by speed) his vision. All ordinary man's statements changed time to time. The reason is they have not eliminated the deep sleep (the state of total ignorance). Buddha is an awakened one. He does not have deep sleep, light sleep or awake state. Buddha is free these 3 worlds. we go through these two worlds ignorantly. We wake up not knowing we go to light sleep not knowing and we go to deep sleep not knowing. Buddha teaching is not so simple like Dalai Lama trying to equal it to a religion.

To Make it simple in order to overcome all problems Buddha said see yourself without "self" the self is an illusion. The formless "self" drives this body. in deep sleep we don't have this "self" there is no death or birth. In side mothers womb. We didn't have any stress, sadness or fear of loosing someone or something. We came to this state passing these unique qualities. We need to look back and see. Then you yourself auto quelled

I'm not trying to malign the Dalai Lama, I just want to unveil the truth. People know that children are molested in churches, but they don't realize that it happens in monasteries too. You can look up the KZread video of Kalu Rinpoche, one of the highest incarnations in Buddhism, stating that he was raped and molested for years by older monks. Except it didn't just happen to him, it happens to near early single child in a monastery. We shouldn't need "concrete proof" every time someone is molested. We don't need more proof, we need better discernment.

Wow people usually get angry when they hear this. That's like the most calm and mature response I've seen, glad I could help. PS. when Kalu Rinpoche came out, some people tried to make him look like the guilty one. Its really sad how we treat our rape victims sometimes

Dharma227 Thank you for the kind words. Also really sad to know about such abuse within the Buddhist fold. If you're in a position to work with such children, you should do all that you can to help them and bring such abuse to light. (I have my own causes; animal welfare and education reform; I think the key is choose a cause, and focus on it) That said, we mustn't forget that there are many good Buddhists out there. Just to keep perspective and balance, I say meditate. It is best to take care of the inside, while attending to activism on the outside.

Yes, he surprises us with the simplicity of his answers. But the message he convey is broad. He never consider himself a healer or a magician. Good example of it is that he himself has ailments that need medical attention. I remember in an interview Pierce Morgan asked his holiness what measures he could follow to cure an ailment of his own & his holiness's answer was classic. He said "Go to a doctor". Now this is the difference. People expect him to be a healer & speak of things we don't understand to project himself superior. He just is not. He is so comfortable in his own skin that he radiates with spirituality & there is no place for hatred & jealousy in his life. While you have your own point of view, please try to grasp the lager message in his teaching. Peace!
