Just a friendly FYI: You mean "tips". The tooltip is a common graphical user interface element in which, when hovering over a screen element or component, a text box displays information about that element. (Its only got the 1 definition)

Cutting to that after Alan's comment about dogs and cats is perfection in editing.

I love how everyone initially gets really excited by the concept of the task. ‘Make a toy for a dog’, so good. But no matter what the task was, you can always count on Alan to bring you back down to Earth. ‘20 minutes? Oh, you must be expecting something good then…’

I like the way they did this same tasks once before with a baby and this is still called the cutest task of all time. the baby was beat by a dog 😂😂

3:35 Omg Gus has just made me realise that dogs ALSO suffered in the pandemic - like what if they had regular friends they'd see daily and they just couldn't because even on walks their owners couldn't go near each other. Wtf I didn't mind lockdown till I realised it'd negatively effect dogs (granted they saw their owners more but still, their friends less so man)

Yes! Also impaired social development. My pup, who I got in Feb 2020, is still playing catch up on social development 3 years later. Listening while in a group of people and new people coming over have taken the longest to improve.

I'd question the evidence-based viability of the task. What if doggo was getting tired after the first two 'toys', or what if doggo got more enthusiastic after one in particular and then got into Priscilla after? We'll never know. What we know for sure is that Chunky was the equivalent of getting bad socks for Christmas.

@@cazzabojangles I know they are sometimes yes. I didn't consider that here. But that would still mean the test isn't highly accurate. You'd need to run the test a few times in the same conditions. It's just entertainment, so no big deal, but wanted to point it out that's all.

I also thought of that. Another point to consider is the dogs familiarity with the room. With the first to toys, he went in the room and seemed to find it very interesting, as if that's his first time being in that room, which obviously distracts any dog from the toy, regardless of how good the toy is. Obviously I don't know if the first two toys were actually filmed before the other toys but either way, it seems to be an important factor.

@@cmk1309 This is true. Plus we would need to take into consideration whether using food could be considered foul play- if you handed a todler two toys, one which had sweets on it and one that did not, they'd always take the one with sweets

@@cazzabojangles Expressly not true, Nell was much more engaged with the ducks and thresher shark in the tray of bubbly water than she was with the lucky ducky with the sweets in it.

There was a flaw in their planning of this task. By the time they brought out the fake dog (made of rubish) without food inside it, that is, the last toy; the dog had learnt that he would be taken where toys had food in them (2 chances to 1 based on the dog toys it had been exposed to already). By the end, the load of rubbish had his whole attention because he was trying to figure out if he could get to the invisible food of which he was certain there could be, by destroying it bit by bit

The gap between the top 2% and 0.1% is astronomical. While low end millionaires includes some leaches (like landlords), it also includes vital, rare-skilled professions like surgeons.

Honestly I would have gone for something like Guz because based on my experience every cat or dog's favourite toy is trash. Receipts, bits of paper, leftover ribbon or string, toilet paper rolls, empty boxes... but never anything more complicated than that.

What an absolutely delightful little creature! The dog was cute as well.

I hope Marco comes back in another episode

I believe it's a rough-coated Jack Russell Terrier, but I don't see many in the states (only smooth coated ones), so I'm not 100% sure.

I'd actually say he's probably a JRT cross - his coat looks too soft and luxurious for a rough coat JRT (or similar) - he looks a LOT like my JRT/Pom and has a similar coat type so I'd imagine he's got a soft fluffy parent too

It honestly looks like they filmed all the dog parts at once and this is also about in the order of whose toy went first to last.
