*SPOILER!!!* Believe it or not, the time turner effect is the simplest effect in the show - it's just a projection! There are 3 projectors hidden in the auditorium, and they project the ripples onto the stage. Also, Delphi's graffiti is a very special blacklight paint :) And the telephone booth didn't work the way you think - but I'll keep you guessing :) Glad you enjoyed it!! Really love when people who didn't like the script see the show and enjoy all the pieces together, that's the magic of theatre! I've seen the play(s) a bunch of times now, and it never gets old!

I very much enjoyed the double take on the play. As for theater special effects... Visible soundwaves are usually linked to a pulsed air compressor filled with theatrical smoke, that is sometimes laced with quinine for a UV light to pick up and enhance the effect. As for the graffiti... Thanks to new holographic projection technology (putting a fully rendered cartoon character on stage) projecting on a surface are quite realistic. The lasers are coming from several different directions and working in microcycles movements. I hope that helps explain a little. Sorry for the overly simplified explanation.

jaspr1999 I have a good friend who works for the special effects in this play and protection mapping was not used for the graffiti. It was actually painted onto the wall in ultra-violet paint. Black lights illuminated the entire theatre.

I do agree that the script and the actual play are TOTALLY DIFFERENT experiences. I thought the whole play, the stage, the actors (I watched the one with the first ever actors) everything was very well executed and enjoyable. Nevertheless I still do hate (yes, hate) the script and the story...urgh... I know that the Script is considered "canon" and I do understand that but for me personally (!!!!) it will never be a part of the Harry Potter (+Fantastic Beasts) Franchise, it's just so different from the actual narrative, it's as if I'm reading a completely different story (not to mention how ooc even the trio is... so dissapointing). But again, the play is (experience wise) very good and enjoyable.

I have imagined the Cursed Child to be different. There is only one thing that I like about Cursed Child friendship between Albus and Scorpius. For me they are just friends. They have deep friendship which is based on emotions. A lot of people don't see it that way because of their perception on friendship. I would have assumed that Harry wouldn't allow Albus to feel left out. Harry knows what it's like to be isolated in Hogwarts. Plus I would assume that Harry wouldn't be bothered by Albus and Scorpius friendship. So what first Harry says in Deathly Hallows epilogue that it's fine to be in Slytherin and then hes upset by it. Very odd. When I see Hermione I think of Emma Watson. I would have assumed that Hermione's daughter would be less judgemental. Well she must have inherited something from Ron.

I feel like the HP soundtrack is synonymous with the films. Since this is a stage play I think it needed it’s own score. Using the music of Imogen Heap is what initially sparked my interest in the play. Since we don’t have a soundtrack for the books except for maybe the film score, the music almost acts a would be soundtrack to the books. I too have just read the script and have my problems with it, but I would love to experience it live because I love the Wizarding World so much. I’m an even bigger fan now because of this channel so thank you for all you do!
