THE CUMBRIA WAY Day 7 & The FINAL LEG in the LAKE DISTRICT - Caldbeck to Carlisle

Here at last is our final day... do we make it ? I can tell you it was in the balance after an interesting last night under canvas.
Any how here it is. Music is as per the other video's plus The Stick song from Hey Duggee (The excellent Children's program and our grandchildren's favourite show), Van Bellen with Morning Awakening and Interstellar (Main Theme) by Dominik Hauser

Hi you fatboys from Southend , just a few lines to thank you all for the hours of wonderful entertainment that you have provided with your excellent films .I was also a resident of Southend for many years having moved there as a two year old , after being bombed out of Bow in the Eastend in 1941. Like you, I am obsessed with the beauty of the Fells and Lakes , and would often travel the 324 miles from Clifftown Parade to Keswick. However , I managed to stop the commute in 2007 by buying a 40ft. static caravan in Keswick and enjoying Paradise on a daily basis . FANTASTIC ! Best regards to you all, Brian Callow .

Well done all. A special well done for Dave for completing the final leg in the condition he was in. He is a trooper, to say the least! We have enjoyed watching all the Cumbria Way videos. Cheers. Eddie & Carol

Your video series has been brilliant. Certainly one of the best long distance walk throughs on YT. I am attempting this solo in May 19. Thank you for sharing.

Absolutely brilliant, how your channel is not in the thousands in a complete mystery! Loved every minute of the whole Cumbria Way (apart from the injury, sickness and topless shots) and even Mrs Metalman, who does not normally even watch my videos, watched the last 3 episodes in full! The funny this is, I was expecting this none Lakeland episode to be not as good as the rest but it was even better, real good laugh in parts and very picturesque as well. Great job Graham on the filming and editing, which was superb throughout and magnificent effort to you all, especially the legend! Cheers Alan

Thank you Alan, your very kind. I have to say it is a bit of a mystery to me as well. We must be an acquired taste and not appeal to the younger generation due to the peaceful music we use. I think it matches the views. Perhaps we need to do more extreme stuff to attract the adrenaline junkies

The Dales Way could be worthy of consideration, about the same length of the Cumbria Way, and of course it finishes in the lakes.

Thanks Andy. Dave looks back at the last day with great pride because of how he carried on despite how he felt. It is the main reason we do the vids so he can look back (As we do) at what was achieved at our young tender ages. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Please spread the word 👍

Just a brilliant, brilliant series of videos Graham. 'So many highlights along the way. Admit to getting a little bit emotional on those selected end ones remembering the trip. And of course, well done on raising the money for Marie Curie. Love the 'taster' that Dave has even improved his "stick dancing" technique since those shown on the summit of Shipman Knotts which I was going to copy as homage to the great man and as a celebration of completing the 214, hopefully next year. I may now have to learn a whole new routine lol. Cheers
