The 15mm face foam and the Apache strap makes it super comfortable to wear. Better than the g2 I would almost say. I’m looking forward to the pimax headstrap to try out and wide fov lenses. Hopefully the eye overlap will be tweaked to perfection.

For me the secret sauce of the comfort on Pimax Crystal was the vertical velcro strap over your head. It was unsufferably uncomfortable, but adjusting that very tight made it incredibly comfortable, i was blown away it felt somehow lighter than my quest 2, so yeah, it's not joke you have to learn to adjust it correctly.

The velcro that we attach the face cushion to, is coming off, what glue was used, or what glue would you recommend to reglue the velcro to the Crystal headset. ??

Very good to improve the comfort, looking forward for new straps. Sometimes it is so funny, when people lose their mind over the Crystal or Pimax :D. The weight is no problem at all, this is just the typical paper spec talk. Good work, looking forward for the 60G Airlink now!

The question I have is, does the crystal have a headphone jack? At this point, it's the only thing keeping from buying a crystal. I don't want to be spilling game noise into the room.

My biggest problem is that I can not wear comfortably my SteelSeries Wireless Pro together with my Crystal. I am still experimenting how to set it up the best way.

Rift s had tightening knob in the back its bad with racing seat. G2 is awesome with its smooth back. Anyone had problems with crystal and racing games?

I don't understand why so many people complained about the weight when the crystal released. It was the number one complaint by all the people who had never tried it on, and they would never even consider trying it on because they had already decided that they'll brake their fraile necks immediately if they do. I can't tell the difference weight between the crystal or any of my other hmds. I do notice that it's bigger when I occasionally hits the side of the hmd when I swing my arms around, but that's not a big deal.

It’s mostly because to get eye tracking to work you have to pull it lower on the face and it puts pressure on the nose

Simply put, a lot of the KZread "influencer" reviews were terrible for the Crystal, filled with click baits and over exaggerated claims about a headset that they were given to try for a few weeks. I never owned a Pimax product before and took a gamble on the Crystal. I absolutely love this headset, so much so that I unsubscribed from a number of the KZreadrs since I no longer trust or value their opinions.

I have many VR headsets including Quest 3, Valve Index, and Pimax Crystal and 8KX. You'd think that the much larger and heavier Crystal would be way less comfortable than the Quest 3, but it's really not. Balance and pressure points are more important factors than overall size and weight. The key here is that a balanced VR headset is being held up passively by your bone structure rather than your muscles. The Quest 3 is much lighter, but completely front heavy and has much less padding, so its pressure points and effects on fatigue aren't necessarily better.

Lol… I returned my Crystal after 3 days.. this thing is a heavy brick… I have the quest 3 now and it’s thousands time more comfortable than the Crystal and with Bobo M3 head strap it’s millions times more comfortable.

The power cable strap is too short - for big heads the weight is being placed on this strap.

It strangely looks so big when you’re looking directly at the front of it. But sideways or everywhere else it doesn’t look that big

Fix the room calibration from always going wonky!!!

all of this is bull. even with the comfort strap it is too front heavy and that isnt gonna change with a strap. what i did however is got some fishing weights and added them to the back of the battery compartment with velcro. now with the strap it is balanced. how do i know this? if you loosen your pimax strap all the way, mine balances perfect on the head and is directly in front of my face where without the added counter weight you'll break your nose from the pressure.

​@adrenalinejunkie3828 I own one and I'll tell you it's not balanced. Cute idea though , bad balance so sell me more stuff to overcome bad design. You can see in my profile pc I'm wearing an mask in an F15. Even at 9gs that put less pressure than the pimax at 1 g. BTW I do like that after waiting forever for my topstrap, it shows up with no instructions. Pimax can do better.

If you’re a woman with long hair it rips your hair out. It’s not designed for women. The visor has major light bleed and doesn’t angle ‘down’ enough.

ciao buonasera è molto difficile da connettere mi è arrivato il 15 di novembre poi ieri mi è arrivato quest 3 posso garantire a tutti che cristal è ad un livello irraggiungibile dagli altri visori ! sono molto soddisfatto è il top ma le consegne e il supporto è un disastro ! ad oggi non ho ancora le mie cuffie e nessuno sa dirmi dove sono ho speso dal italia 2000 euro questo non è accettabile da un cliente !

Dear Pimax, just make a Quest 3 with your high resolution displays and displayport connection and everyone will prefer your headset. Meanwhile, that big design is already outdated, it is the main reason i didn't get the Crystal over the Quest 3.

You know you have a comfort issue when you put out a video like this. I love my Crystal but it is uncomfortable. I have ordered the 15mm pad but have been waiting awhile. Counterweights and better padding and straps should be included. Not cannibalizing other VR parts to make it work. Big PR problem!

I've had to adjust EVERY headset I've owned from DK2 onwards to make it more comfortable. Every head shape is different so it's a challenge for designers I'm sure. My Crystal is now more comfortable than my old G2 which was very comfortable.

@@markcrooks1631 My Rift S and and Reverb has superior comfort. No adjustments needed. Now clarity is not as nice but their price is 1/3 of the Crystal’s . I expect a little more comfort and not having to DYI comfort pad’s especially for the cost!

Pimax, why not save on plastic and just make a smaller headset

It does not fit my face. I think I need more squishy foam or something. It's very uncomfortable for me.

From the beginning I cut insulation foam wedges and inserted them on the sides as shown in the video and it completely solved the issue. Give it a try, with the top strap from Apache the headset is as confortable as any other headset.

This thing is hardly heavy like some over reacting youtubers are making out to be.

Change the name to Pimax Crap! Apparently Pimax takes real good care of KZreadrs by sending them free stuff to review to boost sales. Meanwhile they are slow as molasses at fulfilling promises made to PAYING customers. Thee Pimax Crystal is an overpriced by about $1000, By time you pay for the upgraded speakers, Top Strap, Big FOV lenses etc. the price is upwards of $2,000. All those accessories should come free at the ridiculous price of this large hunk of plastic. I bought my Crystal in November 2023, they promised the comfort top strap with the purchase. I wrote their support team...twice now since the purchase and still no head strap, no Big FOV lenses no upgraded DMAS speakers. Then you charge $99 for the upgraded speakers that aren't actually ever in stock to buy but yet you send all your favorite KZreadrs all these products for. Stupid battery design looks like it was 3d printed. Can't operate more than two hors..even while plugged in.?? I WOULD NOT PURCASE again!! Change the name to Pimax Crap!

Crappy headset with or without a strap. So much tech in just one brick, and good luck getting any of it to work.

Software/compatibility issues, size, and poor customer service is what makes this brick a total waste of money. And you don't have to take my words for it, just read all the negative reviews out there. If you wanna get a bank loan to invest in this brick, go for it!

I've owned many headsets from the DK2 released in 2014 onwards. The Crystal is hands down THE best headset I've owned for sim racing. I heard nothing but negative things about Pimax yet my experience is the complete opposite with the Crystal, the thing is rock solid and reliable that was easy to setup and get running. I had more problems and issues with all the Oculus headsets than the Pimax.
